Act I Part 2

I stared at the blank white card with an equally blank white gaze. Apparently, this card allowed me to copy one ability from the person I used it on.

Quite a strong card if I say so myself. I wonder, can I use it on that mysterious deity? Heh. Not like I will be meeting him again… or will I?

Shaking my head, I pocketed the card before taking another sip from the Red Bull in my hand.

Fallen Angels…. Angels that fell from the grace of God, going against God's Will and doing something sinful, causing their wings to go black.

If my lore isn't lying to me… How the fuck am I supposed to kill those OP beings that would most likely show themselves during the end game?! I just got transmigrated!

'Calm down! Let's think this through.' That's right. I highly doubt that the system would give me something impossible to do. Since it gave this as the starting mission, that means that as long as I play my cards right, there is a high chance that I can indeed kill a Fallen Angel.

There are many types of Fallen Angels in many different fictions. It could be that the Fallen Angels in this world aren't all that strong. They might even lose their powers after falling from grace.

My eyes swept past every human that passed or walked by me, checking their statuses. Statues? Oh yeah, a new message popped when I touched the Replication Card.

Did you catch it too? Yeah, it said "as long as" which means that I can use this ability as long as I want unless I use the Replication Card.

And if I never used the Replication Card, I will never lose this ability.

It was tempting.

Like a gentle whisper of a devil, it was tempting.

I would not lie. The amount of time I had the urge to not use the Replication Card, but then again, to really kill a Fallen, I highly doubt I can do it without using the Replication Card.

Dammit! That mysterious deity seemed to take all possible routes in his mind to make sure I won't abuse my starting package. Really sad. Being able to see another person's ability without their knowledge was quite a massive cheat in itself.

As they say, know your enemy and then yourself, you can win any war.

"I seriously want a cigarette right now…" From the people and the architecture, I knew I was in Japan. So if I wanted to get a cigarette, I needed a legal ID to confirm my age and stuff.

I had nothing of such. And even if I did, I don't think they would let a seventeen-year-old smoke a cigarette. How annoying.

Finishing the Red Bull, I stood up and walked in the direction of the trash can, throwing it away. With the bag holding the remaining drinks, I chose a random direction and started to walk.

Even for a second, I did not stop checking everyone's status. I need to find someone, ANYONE, with an ability worthy enough for me to replicate.

But even after walking for hours, I couldn't find a single damn supernatural being! Don't tell me I am doomed. Is there no supernatural entity in this town?

While I was getting more and more frustrated, and the need to light a cigarette was increasing, my eyes widened as finally, I saw something different from mundane!

HOLY SHIT! I struck a gold mine! Ignoring the woman—her ability wasn't really all that impressive—the power that the brown-haired due held was screaming cheat!

An ability that allows you to double your power limitlessly until you reach the limit on which that power is based! That was a fucking cheat! Even for the current me, if I used it, I can become strong enough to kick open a wall!

Not gonna lie, I am tempted as fuck right now. My hand over the Replication Card was shaking and my mind was begging for me to use it on the brown-haired boy, but I held back my urge to instantly use the card on him.

It was only the first day. Who knows, I might find even more people who might have even more absurd power than him. You never know after all.

But, then again, I ain't letting this juicy piece out of my sight.

With that in mind, I silently stalked… followed after the two. It was boring as hell! Apparently, the nun was lost and the kid helped her, but now, for some fucking reason, they are on a date.

The more I followed them, while obviously using my ability to check every person's status to make sure I checked every possible scenario, the more annoyed I was getting.

Fuck! Get out of it, Eric! While pushing the annoying thoughts aside, I diligently followed the couple for a whole day. Thankfully, it seems that none of them noticed me tailing them.

I don't know if it's because it is way too crowded or that the brown-haired man didn't consider me dangerous at all—knowing the power he has, I wouldn't be surprised—but I was safe so far.
