2 Crossed?

Chapter 2

"Uh, where am I?" asked a confused teenager who had not yet reached puberty.

The young man felt that he was standing on a soft but solid ground. He was aware of the protective gear on his body, such as handguards, gum shields, and vital organ protectors. His thoughts were in disarray, and he struggled to think clearly.

Just as the bewildered young man was attempting to gather his scattered thoughts, he suddenly received a strong blow to his head. The familiar pain returned, causing the young man to faint and collapse to the ground.

"Ah, did I go too far?" a remorseful yet pleasant voice spoke softly in the vicinity.

...

In a mundane white room, the silence was interrupted by someone's snoring.

"Huh, what just happened?" grumbled a young man lying on an ordinary white bed.

Looking around, the young man finally shook off his dazed state. He let out a sigh of relief, clearly recalling the sudden lightning strike, electric shock, and subsequent concussion.

"Ahhhh, am I in a hospital? Thank God, I thought I was dead..." the young man muttered with a wry smile on his face.

With this realization, the young man began to relax. However, he couldn't shake the feeling that something was amiss with his body. Yet, he found it oddly normal.

"Hmmm, is it because of my injury?" the young man pondered to himself.

Unable to find a definitive answer, he decided to set aside his doubts for the time being. He lazily reclined on the white bed where he had been resting for quite some time.

As the young man started to calm down, faint voices could be heard from outside the room. Through the frosted glass window, he could see several people approaching his room.

Anticipating a visit from his uncle, the young man became confused upon hearing the concerned voices of a group of young individuals.

"Hey, Ray, are you alright?" a girl asked with deep concern.

Ray, the young man in question, became even more perplexed upon hearing this. "Who are these guys? Do I know them?" he muttered in a strange manner.

His confusion led him into a daze, which only heightened the worries of the group of teenagers who had just arrived.

"Did that upperclassman hit him so hard that he's become dim-witted?" one of the youths remarked dismissively.

"Heyyy, Hamar, why would you say such things?" another girl retorted.

"It seems he's still in a daze. What should we do now?" the girl who had spoken first inquired, expressing her concern.

As anxious voices transformed into a chant within the monotonous white room, the young man who had become the center of attention felt the familiar pain in his head once again.

Unlike before, he no longer screamed or fainted in shock. Instead, he simply furrowed his brow, enduring the pain that surged through him.

"Ray? I'm Ray Tomaka?" he muttered in disbelief, his words barely audible as he lay there.

With that, fragments of messy memories started to emerge, breaking through his consciousness.

After enduring a moment of suffering, the young man gradually calmed down and let out a helpless sigh.

"Ugh, I've crossed over?!"

"Unbelievable! How did this happen to me?!"

Looking around the room, Ray couldn't spot any of his "friends" present. Perhaps the group of teenagers was hesitant to approach him after witnessing his unusual behavior.

"It seems like I've been in this room for too long..."

Trying to convince himself, Ray slowly rose from the clean, comfortable white bed. Even though he knew this was his reality, he couldn't help but sigh helplessly.

After informing the staff at the school health unit that he was fine, Ray prepared to head home.

During the journey, Ray caught glimpses of several youths in uniforms, each with their own distinct appearances and auras. Some seemed weak, enthusiastic, sad, pessimistic, arrogant, shy, and so on.

This sight prompted another helpless sigh from Ray.

"How long has it been since I experienced the tumultuous emotions of being a fiery teenager?"

After enough time to eat a light dish, Ray finally arrived in front of a house that seemed grand to him.

Mixed feelings surged within Ray as he gazed upon the familiar yet unfamiliar two-story house right before him. Letting out another sigh, he stepped forward with anticipation, entering the familiar premises.

Upon reaching the front door, a wave of anxiety washed over Ray, making him doubt whether he should be in this place. However, before he could ponder further, the door to the luxurious house opened with a click and a soft creak.

The door had well-maintained hinges.

"Ray! Are you okay?" Worried voices flooded Ray's mind once again.

Answering such a basic question proved challenging for the young man. Luckily, a little girl suddenly jumped happily into his arms.

"Oh, big brother! You're back! Why did you come home so early today? Is there an event at your school?" the girl asked, her eyes shining with curiosity.

Ray, upon hearing her words, could only smile warmly as he gently ruffled her hair, trying to "remember."

After spending some time with his little sister, Ray bid his farewells and headed towards the woman who still wore a concerned expression.

"Mom, I'm tired. Let me go to my room first," Ray said as he ruffled the hair of a small child hiding behind his mother.

"Well, rest up. Call me if you need anything," his mother replied.

"Okay, Mom..."

Observing her son's languid walk, Yuvra couldn't help but overthink.

"What's wrong with him?"

As a meticulous doctor, she noticed a faint bruise on Ray's cheek that was barely noticeable. Additionally, he seemed awkward and pale, as if he had experienced unbearable trauma.

"Was he bullied at school?" Yuvra's mind raced, trying to find a reason for her son's change in behavior.

Meanwhile, Ray, who was being turned around by Yuvra, looked warily at himself in the mirror.

"Whoa, is this really me?" Ray asked, instinctively examining every part of his body from head to toe.

He had an ordinary appearance, with wavy black hair and a height of no more than 5.6 feet.

After a satisfied look, Ray let out another helpless sigh.

"Well, at least I'm still a human and male."

He then made his way towards the futon he was familiar with, and slowly sank into its softness and comfort.

"Ahhhh, I thought the bed at the school health unit was good, but this one is even better," Ray said, feeling comfortable.

Having calmed down, Ray pondered once again about his transmigration. He attempted to familiarize himself with this world based on the memories inherited from the previous host.

Planet Green, as the name implies, appeared green when viewed from a distance. It wasn't due to specific compounds or reactions, but rather because the entire planet was covered in lush greenery.

Even in the seas, rocky areas, and deserts, trees thrived, some of which were typically found only in rainforest regions. The trees grew abundantly, defying human reasoning.

Humans were not native to this planet. Three thousand years ago, a group of scientists were conducting research on their planet's natural satellite, the Purple Butterfly Moon.

The group expected their findings to be similar to previous explorations of other natural satellites. However, they stumbled upon technology that was foreign to their civilization.

Further research revealed that the purple moon was, in fact, a space mothership covered in asteroids and space debris. Scientists couldn't determine the exact age of the carrier, but based on the carbon deposits covering its surface, they believed it to be over a hundred thousand years old.

It took scientists a thousand years to fully understand the functionality of the starship. They didn't have enough time to reverse-engineer it before receiving a distress signal from the spacecraft.

According to the starship's sensors, a massive space storm was approaching, capable of destroying various galaxies in its path.

Unfortunately, their planet was in the path of radiation!
