CHAPTER 68
He was saying something that she could no longer make out due to the high pitch sound that was continuously ringing in her ears. His earlier hit was so heavy that it had impacted her hearing. She hoped that it would not be permanent. But then again… with her time running out, perhaps it would not make much of a difference anyway, right? And she smiled wryly at herself.
Her nightmare a while ago crossed her mind. She was starting to feel the very same thing when in that strange bad dream that she just had. And before she knew it, she was uttering the same phrases she had in her mind. Asking for help, only this time, she did not pray or called out for any gods. She was calling for Sam’s name instead. The name of the man she chose not to trust.
The door soon opened. It was even darker inside the castle. Not a single sliver of light could be seen.
