The truck was suddenly no longer before them.

With wide eyes, Zary quickly turned around and saw the ten-wheeler behind them. It had stopped right across the middle of the intersection, acting as a large wall that barricaded anyone else from entering into this side of the intersection.

Her head whipped towards Sam, still wide-eyed, and mouth agape. He had done it! He actually managed to make the impossible possible!

He glanced at her, smiling as he once again stepped on the accelerator, continuing to speed up.

Zary took a moment to finally respond.

“Stop smiling, you, naughty little daredevil!” She burst out at him while laughing in disbelief.

“You’re one dare-devil, Zary.” He replied as well, smirking.

“Oh, I’m not –” Zary started to deny but Sam cut her off.
