CHAPTER 21
Sam halted, then his mesmerizing gold eyes released hers as it dropped to look at something else.
When Zary followed his line of sight, she then saw her own hands fisting the material of the bedsheets so hard that the surrounding area were crumpled. She was surprised to see that… wait… what? Her eyes slowly widened. Could it be that… her phobia… no… it could not be… this is Sam! Sam, her very own robot. Not a human male!
She whipped her head back up towards him. But… he was already gone. The place where he just stood was now empty as though there was no one there in the first place.
“Sa –” she could not finish calling out his name because the sound of the hair drier echoed from the bathroom. Did he go back into the bathroom to dry his hair?
Zary pressed her lips tight and then hugged her knees. She could not quite believe her reaction just now.
