11 010 - The Beginning After The End (10)

"Aaaaaaaaaaaa!" Faerie yelled incoherently, disregarding her painful throat.

The sensation of her body falling rapidly from the top of a tall cliff made her want to scream.

'I'm going to die! I'm going to die!' Over and over again, the phrase ran through Faerie's head.

Her body collapsed as the surrounding around her appeared to move so swiftly.

A river with a rather strong current was the only object Faerie could figure out in front of her.

Faerie could at least be thankful that she fell in water instead of on hard ground so she wouldn't risk getting hit until she broke a bone.

Faerie, though, is still unable to control her emotions.

Faerie's brain system moves just as quickly as she falls, at a rapid rate of speed. In a short period of time, she started counting and figured out how to fall into the water without suffering serious damage.

'How deep is the river? What if shallow? It will hurt a lot if it hits the body later....'

'Let's hope it isn't too shallow!' Faerie begged as she closed her eyes. She didn't want to go back to feeling the pain that seemed like her entire body was being crushed.

'However, if it's shallow, I'll try to land on my feet first... Well, doing it in the water was obviously quite difficult, but I had to give it a shot!' Faerie makes impossible choices that can be made quickly in an attempt to harden her heart.

Faerie clasped her hands together as if praying, but she didn't because she was upset.

'Oh, the black ball! Why haven't you arrived yet? Don't blame me if I hope that everything in this novels world would perish due to your carelessness as a God!' Faerie started to curse from the bottom of her heart.

That's it.

Seconds after Faerie began cursing a figure that claimed to be a God but had very trashy behavior, her surroundings changed dramatically.

It wasn't the cold water she expected to touch her feet and her entire body until she was soaked and drowned, but rather her entire body felt like it was floating in the air.

"Huh?" Faerie exclaimed in surprise when she realized her body wasn't floating, but that her legs were stepping on something invisible.

"What the heck am I stepping on?"

"Faerie Voller Randell, you can't die except for 2 reasons."

Her head was filled with a pressure-filled, ominous voice. Coupled with a white and beautiful hand emerging from the empty sky and pulling Faerie somewhere familiar.

Her last memory ends there.

Faerie found herself back inside another weird and mysterious room in the blink of an eye.

"..."

The large room is white and clean, and it resembles a holy temple. In the middle of the room, there is a large statue with its eyes closed and holding a scale that looks majestic and makes her heart beat.

Instead of panicking at the sight of her being transferred without her permission, Faerie acted as if she had been waiting for this moment for a long time.

"Hey." That gentle but pressured voice sounded frightening because the tone of it voice conveyed emotion.

But such unimportant things didn't concern Faerie.

She had only heard the voice once, but she instantly turned around as soon as she recognized it.

She reached out with both hands to capture the figure who was the main cause of all that had happened to Faerie.

'I'll catch you and make you into a football!' Faerie tried to keep the promise she made earlier.

"Damn you, you-" When Faerie recognized that the figure in front of her was not the ugly black ball she had been cursing from the start, she stopped cursing.

"W-Who?" Faerie asked with a confused tone and a frightened expression.

Unconsciously, she began to move backward to get away from the figure.

The hand she had lifted was suddenly lowered and hidden behind her tiny body.

How could she not be frightened when she saw a strange yet charismatic figure standing in front of her, full of confidence that the world was at their feet?

Their long black hair twinkled like a star at night, and wearing revealing Roman-style clothing was perfect for their smooth skin without the slightest scuff.

Despite the fact that their face was deliberately covered by a mysterious light, Faerie could tell that the person in front of her was extraordinarily incredibly beautiful just on the shape of their jaw.

'Crazy, how can there be such a beautiful human being? Wait... It's human, isn't it?'

When Faerie realized that the figure was also looking directly at her, she gasped.

Faerie instantly felt as if she were being stripped indirectly

"Oh my...!" Faerie blinked her eyes and clenched her mouth tightly, as if to avoid being dazzled, but the beauty before her was hard to ignore.

As a result, Faerie became frozen like a statue.

"Ha!" A harsh, short laugh came from the figure. It was as if they didn't expect Faerie, who had appeared brave from the start, to act like that.

"Isn't it too late now to be afraid?" They asked, looks down.

Faerie blinked her eyes. The figure's annoying style of speech sounds familiar.

"No way... Don't tell me...." Because Faerie was still unsure, she purposefully stopped.

But the person in front of her immediately puffed up their chest as if they were proud of something.

"You're right!! I am the great and wise God who has a contract with you!" They said in a dramatic tone.

Faerie squinted her eyes. "You? The black ball?"

The stunning figure is angry. "Hey, why are you speaking in such a disrespectful manner?"

"... Seriously?" Again, Faerie questioned.

With a look of utter bewilderment on her face, she returned the gaze and examined the entire figure from top to bottom.

Even though they don't have a lot of muscle and have a slender body structure, they appear to have a flat chest and big shoulders, which makes Faerie unsure of their gender.

'Does God have a gender?' Faerie pondered in awe.

"Hey!" The figure seemed enraged, as if it could read the disrespectful thoughts of Faerie who tried to insult the great figure who was declared as a God.

"If you weren't my contractor, I would've squeezed that mouth of yours into doormat!" They said that while putting on an upset expression.

Faerie involuntarily clenched her mouth hard when she saw God's irritated expression.

"Ha!" they laughed again, as if they were laughing at themselves being carried away by Faerie's reckless actions.

"Enough. Let's get to the main point." The figure shook their head. The decoration on their head, which was made of beautiful green-gold leaves, moved gracefully in the direction of their head.

"The main point?" Faerie muttered incoherently, as if she didn't understand.

However, Faerie immediately remembered all the terrible events that she had experienced during the whole day.

"Because you didn't show up! I went through all this! The pain in my body that almost made me want to die—no, I actually almost fainted a few times from the danger I was in! Where is the guarantee you offered?" Faerie exclaimed with an angry expression.

Perhaps because of her annoyance, Faerie had forgotten the fear she had felt when faced with the initial figure hiding behind the black ball form.

The figure didn't say anything other than to stare at Faerie from top to bottom as if it were judging.

"Well, you do look a little messy."

The answer is short.

"Is that all? My body hurts, huh? EEEHH?" Faerie stopped screaming when she saw her whole body.

Her yellow nightgown was certainly soiled, as the God had said, but that was about it. She did not suffer any further discomfort, such as aching pain in her neck, chest, back, or other areas that ought to have hurt.

Even the rabbit bite marks on her finger disappeared.

"You... W-What did you do to my body?" Faere's voice is very low and stuttering. She couldn't even hear her own voice because her heart was beating so fast.

A figure to be feared and respected at the same time. Thinking of that fact made Faeri's entire body shudder in fear.

'All this time I've really been disrespectful to the figure of a 'God'....'

When a charismatic and stunning figure who claimed to be a God noticed the change in Faerie's attitude, it smiled widely.

"No worries. Consider it an apology for showing up late."

"Uh-oh, thank you so much for being so nice to me." Not sure what to do, Faerie chose to accept the God's apology while bowing politely.

God moves their white, smooth hands. "Don't think about it. You are my contractor, and I do have to look after you."

Hearing the sentence that sounded quite clear and touched her heart, Faerie immediately forgot her intention to turn the black ball who claimed to be God into a soccer ball.

The figure folded their arms and raised their head to look at her. "More importantly, I'd like to inform you about the body into which you've entered."

Faerie quickly nodded. "Right! Whose body am I in?"

"Faerie."

"Yes?" Faerie's eyes blinked in confusion. She had no idea why God had suddenly called her name.

"It's a Faerie body. Faerie Voller Randell."

"The hidden Princess who will be killed by the first Imperial Prince, the main character in this world."
