Trapped In A Webnovel As The Male Lead´s Ex-Girlfriend

Waking up, Wu Sun-Mi finds herself in a strange yet familiar world. She had become a novel´s cannon-fodder, a filler character used to add a tragic background to the ML´s story-line. There was no way of escaping. Still, she comes from a filthy rich family so why not enjoy it. The only problem was the stupid system.

I Refuse to Confront Reality

"How is it, young miss?"

It was refreshing.

It had a deep heavy aroma with a light, gentle flavor and a natural sweetness.

Wu Sun-Mi looked around the spacious room, a simple decor but a luxurious feel. She had been greeted with the same sight for the past week, but she still wasn't used to it… no. She still had not accepted it.

"Ugh." She scoffed at how annoying her situation was.

"Shall I remake it?" A calm and soothing voice asked.

Without raising her head, Wu Sun-Mi handed the half empty cup to the man on her right and turned over to the side. "No need."

Wanting to sleep all day, she let her body melt in the sheets in perfect languor. Pulling the soft sheets up and down to find the most comfortable position, she ignored the strange gaze she was receiving.

"Another day in bed I see."

"I´m glad that despite your old age your sight has not deteriorated. Close the door on your way out."

"No can do."

Wu Sun-Mi pulled the blanket over her head, predicting the fact that her lazy behavior was no longer going to be overlooked.

"Master would like to have breakfast with you, and you are to be there in the next thirty minutes. Therefore, I´m gonna stay here to make sure you are."

"Old man. Why is father suddenly so interested in seeing me?" Wu Sun-Mi uncovered her face and looked up to him.

Mr. Baek was not an elderly person. He was still in his mid-forties, with a head full of black hair. He had a couple smiling lines around his mouth and a gentle demeanor, but there was nothing to indicate that he was of old age.

Yet, when it came to Wu Sun-Mi... she couldn't control her natural talent of infuriating people.

Mr. Baek's smile twitched a little, but not enough for Wu Su-Min to notice. "Young miss, ever since your father informed you that he wanted to break the engagement between you and young master Ra, you've refused to take a single step out of your room. If this is not a sign of protest, I don't know what is."

Wu Sun-Mi rolled her eyes at the very... emotional assumption. "This, sir, is a very expressive sign of I don't care. I'm in my feels, leave me alone."

Mr. Baek smiled very cunningly, as if he had discovered something interesting."Meaning that you are in 'your feels' because of young master Ra, right? This old man didn't know you felt so strongly about him."

"Close the door on your way out, thank you."

Wu Sun-Mi layed back down and decided to ignore his presence. Yet, before she could lay down properly she felt a cold wind on her legs.

"Hey!" Wu Sun-Mi looked up, only to see her only companion for the last seven days hanging on Mr. Baek's glove covered hands.

"Give me my sheets back." She pronounced every syllable as calmly and as clearly as she could trying to control her temper.

Mr. Baek let out an apologetic sigh. "Forgive me young miss. You are to be downstairs in the next twenty seven minutes. Brush your teeth and put on a nightgown. There's no time to clean yourself properly."

Wu Sun-Mi pulled at her bedsheets, trying to snatch them out of Mr. Baek's hands. "Tell my father, I'm sick. Just like I told you to tell him the past couple days."

Wu Sun-Mi tried to pull the sheets as hard as she could, but it was to no avail. Mr. Baek did not flinch. The only evidence of her effort were the stretch out sheets. After an embarrassing amount of effort Wu Su-Min finally gave up.

She let go of the sheets and looked up at Mr. Baek who looked at her with an amused smile.

Wu Su-Min brushed the hair out of her face and sighed.

"I'll be downstairs in ten minutes."
