3 Preparation For The Academy

"Butler!" Azariah called out as he left his mother's room.

"Yes, Young Master?" He replied respectfully while keeping his head bowed down.

"Prepare the training area." Azariah ordered as he started walking towards the library.

"As you wish." The butler simply took his words without asking anything.

After all, his mother, Althea C. Alastair made sure to hire the best of the best. And with that, she made them turn into some kind of emotionless puppets.

They only need to serve both of them and nothing more.

Listen to orders, and then execute them.

'Tsk... The nerves she has to say those words!' Azariah clutched his fists tightly.

'Haaah... calm down. From the calendar, there's still an entire week before the academy starts. So, before that, I must make sure to enter the S Class directly.' He thought inwardly.

'The only reason I was able to beat Azariah in the game was because he wasn't in the S Class during the first few episodes of the first chapter. And because of that, I earned a ton of opportunities that helped my character's growth speed.'

'The S Class is very special and because of that, there are numerous activities that only happen in the class. Not to mention the countless benefits that it gives to the students.'

Opening the door of the library, Azariah quickly grabbed a few books and started reading them.

However, as he looked at a single page, he suddenly felt weird...

'Fuck... I thought that he was already overpowered enough, but he actually has a photographic memory?'

'This couldn't get better...' Azariah smiled faintly as he started speed-running through the books.

Now, back to the Academy...

It is originally divided into the classic seven classes: S, A, B, C, D, E, and F.

To enter them, the students will first be evaluated in three tests.

The writing test, the combat evaluation, and the mana evaluation test.

The first one is simply an exam which appears a lot on Azariah's planet, they are known as 'exams'.

And they are annoying as fuck.

The second one works by having one of the professors of the academy fight against you, to test your reaction speed, experience, mana control, and things like that.

And finally, the mana evaluation which is the one that Azariah is mostly worried about.

The students will put their hands on a small orb, and the orb will evaluate the level of their mana.

The professors themselves could evaluate the student's mana, however, the academy simply implemented that orb, because it also tells the students their mana capacity.

Or simply, their mana potential.

Normally, someone's mana potential cannot be raised and that's what those magic scholars have announced to the whole world.

But... it's quite wrong. And Azariah himself it's one of those examples. His mana potential was declared as F+, but he easily passed through that rank.

However, Azariah is a special case, so their words are quite true, after all, one of the attributes that are given to the players is maximum mana potential.

And because of that same fact, Azariah was sent to an experimental lab which surprisingly, was destroyed by Althea before he could even arrive at the place.

However, that short period was more than enough for players to have a chance with the heroines.

E.g. it was at that moment where most players could get the first kiss of one of the heroines.

"Ahh..." Azariah stretched his arms as he finished the last book he had gotten from the shelves.

"Time to warm up a bit..." he sighed as he stood up.

He simply left the books on the table knowing that one of the maids would probably put them back and directed himself towards the training area.

"Young Master, the training area is perfectly prepared for your attributes." The butler spoke politely.

"Thank you, Jarvis."

"It's my duty, young master." Jarvis bowed his head as Azariah entered the training area.

As he entered the training area, the door behind him was closed. He looked forward and a grand display of weapons could be seen.

There were all kinds of weapons, guns, swords, hamlets, axes, spears, bows, and more.

One would be undecided to choose his own weapon, but Azariah easily knew which weapon would suit him the most.

"Well... At least, she acted like a mother when I was a child." Azariah mumbled as he picked up a rapier.

His hand brushed lightly against the blade as he felt a familiar feeling spreading through his entire body.

"Of all the swords, I didn't expect that the rapier would be the most suitable for me." he smiled lightly as he looked at the silver rapier.

However, his smile quickly disappeared as his face came back to the normal emotionless one.

Bad memories passed through his mind as he stopped caressing the rapier's blade.

During his childhood, Althea truly acted like a mother and made him try out different weapons to see which one was more suitable for him.

And the result itself was the rapier.

"Just... ignore it." He mumbled to himself.

After picking up the rapier, Azariah entered a separate room and clicked a small button.

— Clank...!

In front of him, a human-sized puppet with a glowing blue stone on its chest slowly stood up making the sound of idling engines.

And as Azariah looked behind the puppet, he could see a faint panel appearing in the wall.

[F+ Rank]

"Here it goes... I should be able to beat him because of Azariah's childhood training. It's just a bit annoying that Althea stopped training him..." He muttered as he clutched his left fist.

Just thinking about the name "Althea" made his anger rise.

— Huff...!

Taking a deep breath, Azariah rushed towards the puppet, and as he did so, the puppet's eyes turned completely red.

Immediately, Azariah trusted his rapier forward, aiming at the puppet's mana core.

But the puppet was quick, its limbs moving with lightning speed as it dodged to the right, and aimed a punch directly at Azariah's solar plexus.

— Clang!

"Kegh...!" Azariah groaned as he used his rapier's blade to slide the puppet's arm down.

He quickly moved his body and brought his knee up, exactly aiming at its head.

"Fuck!"

But the puppet was ready for him, grabbing his knee with one hand and then putting his other hand on his shoulder, tossing him off its shoulder.

"Kaugh!" Azariah groaned in pain as he hit the hard iron floor with a painful thud, saliva spewing from his mouth.

— Swish!

As he lay on the ground, the puppet swung a punch directly at his face, but just before it could make contact, it stopped.

Azariah didn't even flinch when a sudden gust of wind blew towards him.

He raised his gaze to find the puppet standing motionless, with its eyes no longer glowing red.

"Although it's just a small rank higher than me... he defeated me quite easily." Azariah sighed as he stood up from the ground, cleaning the dust from his clothes.

"Alright... I already know how to defeat him." He walked back towards the button and pressed it once again.

— Clank!

The puppet's eyes immediately turned red, and this time, he was the one to attack first.

He immediately swung a punch at Azariah's chest, which he sidestepped and slashed his sword at its joints, trying to disable his movements.

However, the puppet took the chance and grabbed the rapier's blade, and threw it away from them.

"Motherfucker!" Azariah clicked his tongue.

— Swish!

"Huff!" Azariah dodged another blow, feeling the rush of air as the puppet's fist narrowly missed him.

He quickly jumped onto the ground, rolling to the place where the rapier had been thrown, and grasped it.

The puppet immediately rushed towards him, so Azariah took the opportunity and thrust the blade into its eyes.

That made the puppet turn his head to the left to dodge the rapier, and at that moment, Azariah spun his body and round-housed kicked its face.

— Thud!

The puppet flew into the ground, and Azariah took the opportunity and sat down on top of him, with his knees pressed against its arm.

— Clank!

Before the puppet could use his legs to attack him, Azariah immediately grasped the mana core out of its chest.

"Haah... ahh..." Azariah breathed heavily as he used the back of his hand to clean the sweat on his forehead, before vertically slashing his hand to throw the beads of sweat into the ground.

"Now... I should train a bit of mana. And tomorrow... I'll try to elevate the difficulty a bit, even if I did not raise any of my attributes." He stated as he stood up.

He grabbed the puppet, put the mana core inside him again, and then left this particular area.

Now, he was going to use the mana training room...
