27 Ragdoll

I started running around, trying to escape from him. However, his long legs quickly caught up to me. He grabbed me by the bow I had on the back of my dress and picked me up with ease. I hung like a Christmas ornament by his grip. He lifted me up to his eye level. His face was emotionless, as usual, but his eyes were pitch black.

The last time his eye color changed from his original color was red. But what does black mean? Is he pissed? What the hell does it mean?!

"Are you done running around like a chicken with its head cut off?" He questioned as he looked at me directly with such a dead expression.

Something about his facial expression made my skin crawl. This guy has major issues. He is bipolar with a splash of daddy issues. Ezra came into the dining room with a concerned look.

"Y..your Majesty, you… will hurt the princess if you carry her like that. Toddlers are meant to be held with care." Ezra said with hesitation as he walked up to the trashman.

He looked at me and looked at Ezra.

"Here." He said as he tossed me to Ezra.

WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM?! WHO THROWS A TODDLER LIKE IT IS NOTHING?! DO I LOOK LIKE A TOY? AM I TRASH?!

Ezra caught me with both hands in surprise. He quickly began to pat me on the back, trying to calm me down.

"Your Majesty! What you did was...uncalled for! You could have hurt the princess! What would have happened if I did not catch her? Do you not understand how severe this is?! Have you lost your mind?!" Ezra yelled.

Damn. You actually yelled at the emperor. Brother or not, that takes balls. Rest in peace, Ezra; it was nice knowing you.

"You caught her, did you not? So what is the problem?" He replied in a snarky attitude.

"But… Your Majesty, she is only a child, imagine the trauma she…"

"Trauma? What trauma? You act as if I killed someone in front of her. She will be fine. However, you will not be fine if you decide to yell at me again. Watch who you talk to, commander. Be glad you are my blood. Bring her to my office in one hour. Keep her entertained until then." He demanded as he walked away.

I looked at Ezra. His face was in pure shock. Poor dude, risking his life for getting upset. To be fair, he has every right to be upset. Tossing a child like that is not to be taken lightly. However, I am not surprised that I was being tossed so carelessly like that. Ugh, I want to go back to bed.

"Do I look like a babysitter? I have a military meeting today. Ugh, Where is Marina?! Well, princess, it seems like it is just us two. Want to come with me to the training grounds? Let's go."

I smiled and nodded.

Anything is better than being around that satanic man, so-called my father.

"You know something, Princess? Your father is a lunatic. He lost his mind. Why does he keep requesting your audience if he wants nothing to do with you? Does he have amnesia? Did he lose his brain somewhere?" Ezra says with frustration.

Good question. Considering that this man is supposed to be the 'genius of the century, he sure acts like a complete crazy idiot.

After walking for some time, we arrived at the training camp. It looked like another world. Dirt floor, no flowers, large tents instead of palaces, and a bunch of shirtless men walking around who look like they do not know what hygiene means. In a way, if I were to compare this back to my world, it looked like military camps. I could see everyone's face go from calm, to shock followed by "May the sun and the moonshine upon the Giodivonian empire!"

A tall man with full-body armor walked up to us with many scrolls in his hands. He appeared to be a middle-aged man with a large scar running down from his eyebrow to his lower cheek. Ouch. That looks painful.

"Grand commander… excuse me, what is the....princess doing here? With all due respect, this is not a place for… children or ahh… princesses to be…" questioned the man with the scar.

"Be it the princess or not, she is my niece. She is allowed to be in any part or inch of this whole empire as she wishes. Even in a place like this. Is that a problem, lieutenant? Must I request your permission knowing that I am the leader commander of the Emerald knights? Are you my father to question my decision? Are you looking down at me?!" He yelled.

I looked around to see everyone's reaction in disbelief. Whispers began to start. I can see the man with a scar on his face start to panic as he begins to look around, hearing the whispers become louder and louder.

"I…. I was just worried about the princess. She is too lovely and fragile to see such a place like this with her pure, innocent eyes. I do now want her to get traumatized. Please forgive me. I spoke out of hand. I will not let it happen again." He explained as he bowed down on one knee.

Everyone began to nod their heads and looked at each other.

"Yes, that's right. She should be looking at roses, just as beautiful as herself instead of looking at dirty wolves like us."

"Why is the princess here? She is far too good for a place like this."

"She is the daughter of the emperor. She should be sleeping and resting in a cold area. "

"She will get hurt here."

I can hear their whispers coming from all directions.

Ezra sighed as he closed his eyes.

"Get up, Jahmal, you have a point. However, I had no choice but to bring her here. I have to take care of the princess until that crazy bastard, I mean, his majesty calls for the princess. So let's go to the meeting hall. Do you have the documents?"Ezra requested as he began to walk into a large tent.

"Y..yes, Grand Commander. They are here in my hands. However, is it okay for you to bring the princess into the meeting?"

"What? Is she too lovely and innocent to hear about war? She is only three. She knows nothing of war. Also, you wolves dare to take care of the princess? I think not. Let's go before we are late." Ezra demanded.
