Chapter Sixty Three: Silence

Silence

It fell heavily on the atmosphere that even the wind couldn't be felt.

Valerie was now laying in Aiden's arms, unconscious. She had cried so much and over exerted herself. Her body no longer had the strength to carry her and forcefully shut down.

Aiden stood still as he stared at Dolph's body with complex feelings. Although their races had bad blood between them, they never hated each other.

Sure, there were squabbles and arguments here and there but still, it was just that.

Nothing more.

"I will take him now"

Matt's voice broke the silence, even though it was only a whisper. Aiden nodded his head and turned around, leaving Matt and Sabrina to deal with Dolph

He didn't turn back to look at his body one last time.

He couldn't.

He was afraid.....

Afraid that he would lose control of his emotions, if he did.

WEEKS LATER

Valerie stood inside the spacious courtyard, staring at everybody that came.
