It took several more minutes before Victoria moved and looked up at me with a smile, "I do have another workout outfit for you. It's all pink," Her smile looked a lot like last night without as much bite, and I chuckled without anything else I could do.

"I lost the bet, so I have to do it, but I swear I will get you back for this, Victoria," I told her sternly, and she chuckled, getting up from the bed and tossing the covers to the side.

Gabby and Li didn't ask why we didn't come to the gym. We both were breathing a little heavy from the hard action we had in the bathroom. Both Gabby and Li left before we finished, though, and Victoria came over and kissed me after finishing breakfast. "I will see you inside the game, Elli," She said with a grin, to which I nodded, "I have some priorities to set on some things and some final installations to overlook. I won't be too late if I am late."

"Go," I told her after pecking her lips, "I will see you inside. I think we need to think of a strategy today with everyone before moving forward. So I will probably start that discussion when I get in. Any ideas?" I asked before I shook my head, "Nevermind, Go, and I will talk to you soon."

Victoria opened her mouth to say something, but I held up my hand and pointed toward the door. "I'll see you in a bit Viccy," I said, cutting her off.

"See you in a bit," Victoria replied with a soft, caring smile and turned to walk away.

I moved toward my office, feeling weird with so much skin showing with the sports bra as my only top. I sat back in my chair and turned on the computer, a little lost in thought about the morning. Something was nagging at my mind today, and I wasn't sure what. It was like something was missing or the lack of something, and it was nagging at me. Instead, I called my daughter to see how she was since I had not talked to her in a bit.

Talking with her seemed to soothe the feeling but not altogether remove it. I liked talking to my daughter, though, and hearing about her university. Unfortunately, she needed to go to a class soon and then bragged that she had hit level ten much faster than many playing Grand adventure online.

I told her we had already surpassed level ten without telling her what level I was and that I was quickly closing on another level up; she scoffed, saying that if she could play every day, she would be farther than me. I chuckled and talked to her a bit more before she had to go to her class.

I sighed in pleasure as I hung up, hoping for the best for her. She had come a long way from that drug dealer I met so many years ago. I could feel her drive to better herself and, in doing so, gave me some more purpose. It wasn't enough not long ago, but it was still a drive, and I wondered what her expression would be when she realized she was the sole inheritor of my entire estate. I didn't know if she knew or assumed my family would get something from me. None of them would, though, and she would take it all except some token money to those greedy assholes so they couldn't contest my will.

I chuckled at that thought, wondering how they would react if I passed before them. So many family members wanted to mooch off me without anything in return. They would never take her inheritance.

I sighed as the dark thoughts began to roll in and decided that I shouldn't sit here in my office thinking about these things. Li and Gabby were probably in the world for the first time today, and I still had to think of a plan with everyone. It was time that I set about doing that.

I left the office and headed toward the pod that was changing my life.

I couldn't help but wonder what I would do in Dark city today and couldn't help but feel excited.
