12 Chapter 12: Dungeon Upgrades

Lust crawled to his knees, his legs violently quivering while he lifted himself up to his throne.

"G-Great work!" He said to Denos.

The giant ogre was currently limply lying against a far wall of the dungeon, having been drained of most his physical and mental energy.

"F-Five levels!?" Lust stuttered.

That was an incredible amount of exp! Much more than he had expected to receive non the less…

"I'll… I'll stack everything up and spend it all when I reach level 50." He said, running his hands along his throne.

"I only need to focus on harvesting Dungeon points!" He looked over at the recovering Denos.

"In the mean time…" He mumbled, edit mode being silently activated.

The back wall of the throne room, sunk slightly, a medieval door being placed.

"The dungeon floor plan!" As he said this, a massive amount of EP was converted to DP and used to clear out a region deep below the current floor.

Instantly, a wide cave was formed, a small amount of water on the floor, making it easier to slip.

There were small islands of dirt above water, and the cave was dimly but well lit by the glowing crystals all around the walls and ceiling.

At the opposing end of the cave, opposite of the stairwell from the throne room, was a large opening.

In this opening was a wall of gray mist, stopping intruders from freely passing through.

"A true boss room." Lust said to himself. He planned to have Denos reside in this room until more floors were finished and he could move lower.

Of course the throne room would be occupied by a different mini-boss.

"The boss room of the 1st floor!" He said, flying throughout the expansive room.

His soft bare feet soon touched down on the cold grown, standing right before the misty wall.

"Second floor, here I come."

...

Multiple days had passed, Lust working to upgrade his dungeon heavily, harvesting points from the emotions of his inhabitants, and even his routinely activities with Denos.

The first floor was edited, housing only weak creatures that didn't surpass level twenty.

Looking at the screens before him, Lust couldn't help but smile.

It had taken him well over a week, to accumulate enough points to purchase as many creatures as he did.

Though of course the Goblins, Slimes, and Horned-Rabbits reproduced on their own.

Within the old [Throne Room] rested a [Decrepit Swordsman], Guarding the medieval door behind him.

The [Decrepit Swordsman] was a sort of dead, puppet-like human that retained the muscle memory of the swordsman it once was.

It wasn't an intelligent creature, but it did have infinite stamina and resilience as it felt nothing. It's attack patterns and movements were easy to learn and predict as it was simple muscle memory and there was no thought behind it's movements.

All it knew how to do was protect the door behind it, and fight any trespasser.

In this room, near a chest of loot off to the side was a lever, a lever that would reveal the entrance to the prison below the room.

It was something that Lust created since it would be necessary for the nameless girl to face a little challenge when searching for the prisoners.

Although her quest was to sneak past the boss, she grown strong enough from progressively hunting stronger monsters.

She could take on the [Decrepit Swordsman] and win, alas it was only level 25.

Moving onto the second floor, it was a large cave system like the first floor, but there were more cavernous openings with small waterfalls and oasis like regions.

There was an abundance of plant life and minerals that filled the caves.

Ravines dug deep, and rivers wound throughout the system.

In a certain, more open region, there was even a Goblin camp.

Located in random locations of this floor, resided [True Undead]. They were intelligent, dead creatures, that had infinite stamina, incredible durability, and high strength.

They were even immortal!

To an extent at the least.

Considering they were undead, yet still living, they could no longer die, but they could be rendered lifeless.

As long as they were dismembered, they could do nothing! But if they found body parts to reconnect with theirs, they could heal and once again live.

Each [True Undead] wandered the second floor with a small group of [Decrepit Humans] behind them.

These [Decrepit Humans] were simply unintelligent, more resilient, and dead humans that could be controlled by the undead.

At the deepest part of this floor, resided a large door, a gateway to the boss room.

Behind this doors was a singular creature. A creature so powerful, with nigh-endless potential!

It was an investment that Lust made sure to pick up, as he could see the infinite potential the creature had coupled with his [Passive Creature Evolution] perks.

The [Fallen Daoist] was a mindless, yet still living human. It was once a being that pursued the Dao, a creature that once lived in harmony with the universe, it's Dao heart burning bright.

It was one with the universe, and as it's Dao heart grew stronger, it was able to do anything!

It strived for mastery of the Dao, tapping into the Dao within all living and nonliving creatures, being able to manipulate them however it chose to.

Be it manipulating the Dao energy within a rock and forcing it to burst into a flame, or even using the Dao energy within the air as a foothold and levitating in the sky.

It was a powerful creature, but it had lost its way.

It had stopped living the life of simplicity and balance. It no longer stood in the exact middle, not being too poor, or too wealthy, too cocky or too humble.

It was no longer at peace with it's weaknesses and strengths.

Because of this, it was thrown off the path and stopped living in harmony with the universe, causing it's Dao heart to break.

Having become crippled with a broken Dao heart, it lost all faith in the universe, and chose to search for a different path.

Becoming a [Fallen Daoist] that retained just a small semblance of the power he once held.

Now, he sat within seclusion, cultivating, as he had already found his new path, the new "Dao" he would strive for.

Sitting atop of stone rock was a white skinned man, his long white hair draping down his robes.

He had great beauty, and it was easy to tell that behind the robes was a chiseled body.

Though his aura was something that would make most queasy. It was filled with disharmony and chaos, as if he was a creature that was not supposed to exist, a being that was rejected by the universe.

He was the most versatile existence within the dungeon!

A powerful one at that.

...

...

...

"Hello D." Lust spoke, his real body manifesting within the decent sized boss room.

The man meditating on the stone boulder slowly opened his eyes, his white irises connecting with Lust's eyes.

"Greetings, Daolord. Have you come to assist in my Dao cultivation?" He asked, his head slightly tilting, staring at Lust's mesmerizing nude body.

"Hmm... Indeed I have." Lust smiled.
