Ekko went crazy on the drums, playing exactly how the band's original drummer played, no he played it even better than they did.

But because he was such a monster their group could perform on stage, so did it really matter. She tried to clap with the other students but had forgotten about her arm so all she could do is hiss in pain while tapping her foot.

As the first song was coming to an end, the girls quickly launched into their next number, a heartfelt ballad that showcased the vocal talents of their lead singer.

The crowd of students were captivated, swaying along to the melody and singing along with the chorus that appeared on the screen.

Even the teachers were singing along with the lyrics. As the song drew to a close, Ekko played the final drum solo beautifully.

The girls took a bow before taking in a well-deserved breath of air. The crowd of students rose to their feet in thunderous applause.

It was a moment the girls were sure they would never forget, and they knew that they had given it their all.

Ekko spun the drumsticks in his hands and bowed with the girls before they made their way back backstage.

Backstage, the girls hugged each other tightly, overcome with emotion and pride of their performance. They had come so far, from practising in their garage to performing in front of their peers and teachers.

Ekko smiled seeing how happy they were and was about to make his way back to his seat when...

" Hey, where do you think you're going, you're a part of this you know." Aya the lead singer suddenly called out as she ran up to him and gave him a big hug.

"Huh!"

Ekko was shocked, not expecting the hug at all. But not only Aya, the rest of the girls had also decided to show their appreciation by hugging Ekko and bringing him into a group hug.

Kaori who was close by gaped before giving the stink eye to Ekko.' I bet he's enjoying himself. Humph, dammit I also wanted to hug him as a reward.'

The rest of the girl's eyes widened before resolutely following Aya and bowing." we're sorry for doubting you." They apologised in unison.

Ekko sighed." It's alright really, no need to apologise, and I'm also sorry if I sounded rude to you at the beginning of our meeting."

" Nonono!?! It's us that should be apologising." Aya refused his refusal of her apology and apologised one more time.

Ekko dident want this to be a back-and-forth so he just accepted it and moved on.

" Thanks again Ekko-san, oh and if you ever need our help you can just ask, here I'll even give you my number." Aya said surprising Kaori and the rest of her bandmates.

Meanwhile, Kaori was gritting her teeth and glaring at the girls, she didn't think she would have such fierce competition so soon.

As the group made their way back to their dressing room, they were stopped by a group of underclassmen, their eyes shining with admiration and awe.

"You were amazing!" One of them exclaimed at Aya.

"I can't believe you guys are only in high school!" Another complimented in a tone of admiration.

The girls grinned at each other, feeling a sense of satisfaction and fulfilment wash over them.

They had worked hard to get to where they were, and it was all worth it for moments like this.

As they walked out of the hall, the girls looked up at the stars twinkling in the night sky, feeling like they were part of something bigger than themselves.

They knew that there would be many more performances to come, but this one would always hold a special place in their hearts.
