40 Chapter 40: First Lesson Of Magic

[Duke's manor, Sephiria's room]

At the fourth day of Sephiria's acadamy break of the month, she finally conceded and allowed Shun to finally do what he was supposed to do in the first place

Inside the room Sephiria was sitting on her own comfy chair while glancing at Shun who was pacing back and forth as he reads the book of the academy that belongs to Sephiria

"Hmm... . . The Mana supply vein is at it's core which people call it Mana core... . . The four basic elements are fire, water, earth, and air... . . When creating a spell you need to feel the Mana conjure up on you palm as if it belong to... . . "

After reading the book thoroughly, he soon found out that even the book has a hard time explaining how to conjure a perfect image of a spell

Thus he concluded that for some reason this world was really lacking in imagination, making it hard for people to imagine what a fireball looks like and other stuff

When he looked back at Sephiria, the latter was actually looking at him which made it a bit awkward

"So what do you think? Do you think you can improve my set of skills?" Asked Sephiria

"Well i did say that I'll try my best... . . And I never lie about that" stated Shun

After that he snapped the book shut as he gave it back to Sephiria causing the latter to tilt her head in confusion

Upon seeing that cute action, Shun adruptly coughed as he suppressed his thoughts and said

"Firstly you don't have any problem on your grades... . . Meaning we don't have to tackle a out your academics, you in turn are bad at practical set of skills... . . Even though your grade are high, it seemed that you had a hard time conjuring magic maybe due to lack of imagination"

"Imagination?" Asked Sephiria

"Yeah! Imagination... . . The reason for this is because you lack entertainment, but giving you entertainment is my problem when I show result and pushed the Duke to accept my terms... . . In order for that to happen you in turn need to show improvements... . . " Stated Shun

"I... . . I see"

"Not only that, not only are you worse at magic, you are also worse at other stuff such as practical combat thus making your physical subject to debunked you" exclaimed Shun

"Debunked?"

"No need to know the meaning" quickly replied by Shun

"Thus I was thinking of making you a combat mage, by making you a mage that is also capable of combat thus leaving you advantageous on both arts of fighting" stated Shun as he looked proud

"Combat mage?" Asked Sephiria

At that Shun finally turned his attention to Sephiria as he said

"... . . Lady Sephiria... . . You ask too many questions"

At that the Duke's daughter immediately retorted

"How can I not ask when you suddenly input strange terms?"

At the side however seeing their comical exchange of words Yuumi couldn't help but laugh as Rengar showed up beside her

"So what did I miss?" Asked Rengar

"Oh! Nothing much... . . Only witnessing our master make a fool out of himself... . . By the way how did you get in hear?" Asks Yuumi

"Through standing still... . . And moving slowly that you won't notice that I was there In the first place" replied Rengar

"Right!... . . Well go on! Hunt whatever you like... . . I can guard master all by myself" said Yuumi

"Greatly appreciated!" Replied Rengar as he disappear once again

At that Yuumi observe Shun again whom is trying to teach the Duke's daughter on how to imagine magic specifically

At that Sephiria stretches out her hand as she asked

"What now?"

"Well gather Mana of course... . . Also try to imagine the image... . .try creating a fire ball" said Shun

"Fire ball?"

"Yeah! Just imagine a charcoal burning with sparks and those sparks will create fire... . .but cluster that fire image in a size of a sphere, thus you will imagine a fireball" said Shun

Following that Sephiria started imagining what Shun has described by starting with a charcoal, after that she slowly advances to sparks that will ignite fire

Since she didn't lack on any type of Mana a fire column started to arise from her palm which surprised her

"Don't panic!!! Now imagine a sphere shape!!! Try molding it into a sphere using your Mana like molding a clay" advised Shun

Calming herself down she started doing what Shun has advised and formed her very first proper fireball which amazed Shun

"I knew it I'm a great teacher! I was able to teach her a proper fireball on my first teaching day" proudly claimed by Shun

However Yuumi immediately rebuked what he claimed as she retorted

"Don't exagerate!!! We both know that she already has a high amount of Mana and a certain Knowledge about magic... . . So it's easy for her to do what you said, after all we are assigned to improve her physical subjects" said Yuumi

"Oh shut it! Party pooper! Can't you just let me be embraced by praises?" Pouted Shun

With that Yuumi rolled her eyes as she yawned and lay on the desk near them

"Now try launching it!!!" Instructed Shun

"Launching? Like throwing a piece of paper?" Asked Sephiria

"Yeah!"

At that she tried launching it forward but suddenly on its Midway of its launch the fireball suddenly dissipated into thin air

"....."

"....."

Looking at their silent expression Yuumi advised Sephiria about something

"Try inputting a bit of Mana unto that attack to keep it tangible as it made its launch"

Hearing her Sephiria took Yuumi's advised and did what she said

After Shun explained to her about his class of being a summoner, Sephiria finally accepted the fact that the former can summon creatures that will serve him thus it didn't made it hard for him to explain Yuumi's existence

After taking Yuumi's advise, Sephiria inputted Mana on her launch, unfortunately she inputted too much Mana on it that upon hitting target, it actually produced a loud explosion that destroyed the nearby small desk and turning it's spot into charcoaled black

After sensing the slight tremor the Duke adruptly went upstairs and checked on his daughter only to see that they were the cause of the explosion

With that both Shun and Sephiria got reprimanded again by the Duke about the importance of safety

After being scolded personally, instead of being depressed over that fact, Sephiria actually laughed beside Shun as the latter actually made the matter into a joke

During the night when dinner was served Shun decided to eat elsewhere but the Duke insisted that he should eat together with them

With that Sephiria offered the seat beside her which only shows how the person started to trust Shun after days of only talking to him upon being secluded in her room after seeing their daughter slowly being cheered up and forgetting the happening at the academy, both the duke and his wife felt gratitude towards Shun as he persevere and patiently waited for their daughter to open up to him

The very next day Shun decided to practice at their backyard and urged Sephiria to dress at her usual outdoor attire

In return the Duke's daughter actually showed up with a braised long sleeved white polo, a slim black pants that enhanced her waistline and thighs, and a high brown boots

All this clothes was coupled up with her tied up blonde hair which further exudes her beauty and quite attractive

Shun concluded that if she ever goes out of her manor on this kind of outfit, he was sure many men would woo over her and try to court her due to her beauty and fashionable attire

"Noble are really on a different level" muttered Shun

Seeing his dazed expression Yuumi who was floating over his shoulder giggled as she stated

"Don't fall for her... . . Remember! She's a Duke's heiress while your only still commoner, if you want to be a noble... . . You need to be able to show more results" advised Yuumi

"Huh? What the heck? Me fall in love? Oh please... . . People like me who is regarded as an otaku, gamer, hikikimori on his old world, will always have a hard time on life with romance... . . Only accomplished people can afford to have such high class girls like that"

"... . . Right... . . Suite yourself" said Yuumi as she felt that somehow Shun will have his day for sure

From afar not only Yuumi noticed Shun's infatuation but also Katarina and Garen noticed it as they observed their master completely misunderstanding his feelings

"Ah young love!" Said Garen as he sneakily put his arms above Katarina's shoulder

Unfortunately Katarina noticed this and adruptly crushed his hand

"Ouch!!!"

"Don't get cozy!" Warned Katarina

"Ah! Hard to get I see... . . " Replied Garen s

Cheekily as he tried to console Katarina

And thus the training for Sephiria continued to commence
