But Mikhail didn't wait for any of their replies, he had better things to do.
Entering his room he jumped on his bed and rolled around to feel the softness of the bed. He looked at the books kept on the table and thought to himself.
'These books have pretty good language and writing but they are too repetitive and are only written about the nobility and royalty.
Quite old fashioned compared to the ones in his previous world.
I should have asked Adel to bring me some more books.'
It was regrettable that he didn't have any books to read.
"Why don't I just take a stroll outside, hey system issue a quest about taking a stroll."

Getting out of his room Mikhail towards the maingate. As he got out of the castle he was welcomed by a beautiful garden.
Mikhail stopped on his tracks looking at the rows and rows of flowers carefully arranged in front of him.
"Wow this is really beautiful". This fresh view and coming of the urban streets is quite a sight to behold.
Reaching the main gates of the castle he came across the guards.
"Young master, are you going out, do you need someone to escort you?"
"No need, I am going to be fine on my own."
The lord's mansion was located from a distance from the towns of the county; there was only one village within walking distance.
'There guards told me it would not take more than 15 mins on foot. Normally I used to go to a house so they were surprised that I was going to walk the entire road.
Reaching the town would take some time. I should appreciate the wilderness as I move.'
There was a paved road with both either surrounded by forests. I should go and take a look at the forest too.
To his surprise the system popped up a notification in front of him.

Wow this time Mikhail was genuinely surprised.
'I might have judged the system too harshly. Maybe you are still useful to me.'
"Hey system, where is the beast?"
There is no reply. 'Did I get ghosted by the system.'
Looking at the dense forest in front of him Mikhail shook his head with visible frustration.
'I might have judged you too fast, you are indeed a fraud.'
Mikhail knew he had no other choice other than going into the forest completely blind.
He didn't want to do this but the system's offer was just too juicy.

"How close?"

Mikhail rolled his eyes after getting this reply.
However after five minutes of walking into the forest he quickly got a notification.
[Host you have reached the target location please look left and then down at the ground]
Mikhail did just that as he discovered a blob of purple gel lying on the ground. He got near it and asked the system.
"Hey system, what is this?"
[It was mimic slime it can morph into anything it eats and use it powers]
"Why is it in such a bad condition then all shriveled up?"
[It is most likely a newborn had not eaten anything yet]
So I have to feed it. But do I give it? It's definitely carnivorous and I hadn't brought my sword with me. I cannot even hunt right now.'
Luckily Mikhail found a dead squirrel nearby and decided to feed it to the slime.
Seeing the dead squirrel dissolve into nothing inside the slime, a slime bloomed on Mikhail's face.
"From today onwards you are my pet I will call you Purple."

After eating the squirrel the slime finally started to move. It was bouncing around as if to tell that it was happy.
Seeing the cute blob Mikhail couldn't help but pet this adorable cute blob.

But this warning fell on deaf ears as Mikhail patted and played with the slime like a flour dough. Nothing happened to him, the system was in real silence after this turn of events.
The slime then transformed into a squirrel and climbed on Mikhail's shoulders. Mikhail understood that he was not going to be bored with the playful blob on his side.
It is finally time to go to the village. Mikhail didn't waste anymore time and quickly reached the village entrance.
His face was known so the guards didn't stop him from entering the village.
He had not even walked a few steps and he could hear the entire village was in an uproar.
There were youngsters going shouting,"THE HERO IS COMING TO THE VILLAGE, THE HERO IS COMING". As if their favorite idol was coming to their hometown.
Hearing this Mikhail's heart skipped a beat, was he going to meet the hero already?
Soon enough he heard the system's notification.
