In the count's mansion Mikhail was currently having a conversation with Adel with how he had offered Irene's mother to work in the mansion.
Adel started to feel his head ache coming as soon he started hearing what Mikhail had to say.
'Sure enough how could we expect the young master not to cause trouble, this time it is just a bit different.'
"Young master I would talk with the lord and let him know, taking in one maid would not be of much problem."
In the lord's study Count Certain was surprised that his irresponsible son became so generous all of a sudden.
"So Adel this woman is the mother of the slave girl that Mikhail had promoted to his exclusive maid the other day right?"

"I believe that girl was the one who persuaded Mikhail to do it then, it is not usual for my son to listen to others. What was the name of that girl again?"
"It's Irene my lord."

Saying that he got up from his seat,"Adel i would be taking a walk outside if there is any urgent business then you can find me in the garden."

In the garden he saw all the servants going around and some attending to the garden.
He just stood there experiencing the cold breeze and relaxing his tired mind. This was his way of relaxing after a hard day of work, after even nobles have a lot of responsibilities.
However all that peaceful state of mind was thrown aside as he saw a woman pass by, she was slim to the point of even malnutrition and not wearing the formal maid outfit.
He knew this woman was new here since all maids in the mansion were well fed and did not look that skinny.
His son's actions would sometimes remind him of his past, and now was such a time. However looking at that woman now ignited something from the depths of his memory.
"Clara is that you? You are Clara right?"

Irene's mother was told to look around and familiarize herself with the place, sad everyone was too busy to accompany her so she had to explore the place on her own.
Suddenly she heard a bewildered voice question her by name. She was surprised and looked at the speaker.
She saw a handsome blonde middle aged man standing 10 feet away with a bewildered expression.
"Yes..." She answered hesitantly. But she also left that the man felt familiar.
Suddenly her jaw dropped and her eyes widened to the extreme.
"You...you... How could it be.", tears started to glow down her eyes.
The man too approached her and held her strongly in his embrace.
"This time I am not going to let you this time, I am going to protect you this time."
The woman just stood there crying in his embrace.

Irene who was going around with her newly designated maid duties was interrupted by an old aged butler.
"Miss Irene, I am Adel. You no longer have to work here as a maid."
Irene at this was still trying to cope with what had happened earlier. There were both bad things that happened to her.
She felt happy that her mother and brother would be able to live in a happier and safer place.
But the situation with her 'father' gave her complicated emotions. It was not like he was really nice to her, on the contrary he was very abusive and even sold her out.
Even though she didn't admit it, it was really disheartening that she had a better life being a slave of a noble than with her family.
The only thing that kept her bond with her father was the blood relation that they shared. But she was given the revelation that there was no such blood relation.
Blood is thicker than water but her relationship with her 'father' was neither blood nor water. She really didn't know what to think.
At this time I was not expecting to hear more shocking revelations. But the words from the butler made her mortified.
Then a look of horror fell on her as she understood what implications it might have that her job was necessary for her mother's and brother's well being if she loses her job then everything will be gone.
Her life was just getting better and all of sudden it seemed to fall apart.
'Why there are so many twists and turns in my life today, I will not even be surprised if I suddenly become the young lady of this house all of a sudden.'

So you no longer have to work as a maid.

Hearing that Irene's brain finally short circuited as she fainted. This was just too much for her.

In his bedroom when Mikhail heard the same news rather than being angry like Adel had thought, he was overjoyed.
This confused Adel but he didn't bother about it, he was only here to inform his young master about the lord's orders.
