Chapter 47 - Meeting with Sir Blackwood

Chapter 47 - Meeting with Sir Blackwood

Once Maxmillan said that, everyone looked at him with absolute shock in their eyes.

While Maxmillan broke a smile in his face and asked, "Dad, in the most exaggerated manner, how much do you think that land was purchased by those people?"

"Huh?" Taryell asked with a bedazzled expression in his face.

"Well, I can't really say. But I am thinking around five hundred to six hundred thousand copper coins." Taryell said further.

"Oh really? That's good." Maxmillan said with the nod of his head.

He then looked at his dad with a serious gaze in his eyes and asked, "Dad, do you know the place where these land owners stay? You can take me there. We have something that we want to discuss with them."

"We?" Taryell asked with intense astonishment in his face.

"Yes, we." Maxmillan mentioned with the nod of his head.

Lenna looked at him with a certain piercing gaze in her eyes and smiled before shaking her head. While Maxmillan who saw her gaze and smile, grinned softly and innocently said, "Mom, be rest assured that I want to accompany dad in talking to the land owners. I do not have the plan or intention of making trouble with them, or with anyone else that are related to them."

"Well, I will not stop you from making trouble. Make as much trouble as you like. But don't seek for trouble so much that numerous higher powers get involved. Okay?" Lenna surprisingly said while Maxmillan produced a delighted broad smile in his face.

"Alright mom." He said.

"But Maxie, what exactly do you want to do over there? Give them skills of an Astra Spellcraft Lord in exchange for the land? Or what exactly do you plan on doing once you appear in front of them?" Lylla curiously asked as she stared intensely at Maxmillan.

While Maxmillan who saw it an as avenue to make playful trouble with his second elder sister, said with a deeply ponderous look in his face, "Why didn't I think of that earlier? I could do just that, actually. Sis, thanks for the heads up. What you mentioned will surely go a long way in helping us to re-acquire our large farmland. Haha."

"What? Don't you dare! And if you do, don't bother returning to this house, because I will skin you alive." Lylla said in a seemingly angry tone, while Maxmillan broke a smile in his face and turned to face his father.

"Father, would you like to rest? Or we can leave for the place now?" He asked.

"We could leave for the place now, but I am not going anywhere until I know what your plans are. We would not like to get there and make incredible fools out of ourselves." Taryell said decisively.

"I understand father. But it will ruin the surprise that I have for you, and also for everyone else. So, don't worry too much about us making fools of ourselves over there, since my plan is fully backed up by what I possess and will cause a serious monumental shift in their final decisions. You will definitely get to see what I plan to do over there very soon." Maxmillan said.

"Taryell, listen to Maxmillan. He actually knows what he is doing." Lenna suddenly contributed, while Taryell who suddenly heard his name called out by a voice he had missed so much, immediately looked up to gaze at the beautiful woman that the really familiar voice rang out from and became exceedingly happy.

He was immensely glad and delighted to see his wife again. However, he didn't know what she had passed through which was kept absolute secret by both her and Maxmillan since they didn't want the others to be greatly worried that their mom was abducted by maleficent outlaws and was heavily tortured.

Very quickly, he stood to his feet to happily embrace her, as he had missed her a lot.

"My, a calm mind is everything. I can't believe I was too caught up in my suffocating and drowning emotions of anger and sadness that I couldn't tell the atmosphere was different, cheerful and beautiful because you were back."

"When you spoke the first time, I thought it was Nailah. Because she has a voice really similar to yours, which can be as authoritative and sometimes highly persuasive as yours. Haha." Taryell said with an inexplicable expression in his face and laughed at himself for failing to recognize his wife's voice, until she called his name.

He then said further, "Welcome home, honey. But what took you so long in returning home? Or was it because you couldn't find Maxmillan on time and then decided to stay in the city till you came across him?"

"Well, something like that." Lenna said with a beautiful smile in her face.

She then said further with a strongly persuasive tone in her voice, "Taryell, you should do as Maxmillan has said. Although it might seem like he is bragging, but he actually has resources to back whatever he seemingly brags about up."

"Hmm." Taryell muttered and nodded his head.

He then said with a smile in his face, "Alright then. Let's do it."

"That's what I am talking about." Maxmillan said and winked at his mom who winked back at him.

"So, do we leave now? Or you would still like to rest?" Maxmillan asked caringly.

"Nah. Let's leave now. I don't waste any more time on this. I need my land back." Taryell said and immediately stood to his feet. While Maxmillan grinned.

Then together, they headed for the door to appear in their front yard, and then through the gate to appear in the street, before heading to where the garage was.

An hour later, they dropped off from the carriage that conveyed them to where the residential building of the land owners was located.

Immediately they appeared there and went through the gate, they saw a large beautiful garden that a middle-aged man could be seen leisurely trimming grasses. Then far behind him, just outside the short encircling fence of the massive garden, were hefty, serious-looking men that looked around with the readiness to unleash attacks, both physical and magical.

"That's the chief of the landowners' organization. He owns many lands that he sells to people. I think he was given this post by the Governor of the city to be in charge of selling and renting numerous lands here and there within the city, including towns and villages. I simply wonder for now long he has had this post." Taryell said while Maxmillan nodded his head.

"So, do we go to meet him?" Maxmillan asked, while Taryell nodded his head positively.

"Sir Blackwood, I think you have visitors." One of the numerous people that stood far behind him, outside the garden, said once he noticed Taryell and Maxmillan approaching them from the distance.

While the man called Blackwood, turned around to see what visitors he had. Immediately he saw Taryell, he shook his head disgustingly and said scathingly, "Tell them to leave, I have no time to see some uninvited, unimportant people of the society. Besides, I am having quality pleasure time with my flowers. I don't want to be disturbed. Tell them to leave. Immediately! And please, tell them not to return next time. Or it's from the gate they will be handled like criminals and kicked out like plagued, dying homeless dogs. Okay?"

"Yes si..." One of the bodyguard was speaking when he was suddenly interrupted by Maxmillan who appeared before them in a flash and sent out his palms at each of them which immediately sent all of them flying for many feet into the distance.

Shocked by Maxmillan's movement speed, and also at how Maxmillan effortlessly sent his bodyguards flying which he didn't see as well, the organization's chief asked with a wrathful look in his face simply because he felt highly embarrassed at how his bodyguards were sent flying off like arrows, "Young man, what is it that you want? Remember, this is an organization owned by the government, you don't want to make trouble here. Or you will regret it befor..."

He couldn't complete his statement when a really large pouch that contained copper coins, abruptly appeared in Maxmillan's hands which he threw to the ground before the middle-aged man and said with a deep, serious-sounding tone in his voice, "Give that man's land back to him. That's all that we came here for."
