Chapter 39 - Taming the Magiwolf

Chapter 39 - Taming the Magiwolf

Maxmillan saw this spectacle and couldn't help but be strongly amazed.

"I guess I couldn't see this other side of my mom's magical prowess because she is always at home performing normal domestic-level magical casting. But now that she's not at home, she is able to use and display her other magical spellweaving skills. Amazing." Maxmillan said with pride in his tone.

He then followed his mom very quickly to the place that she led him to, which was about three hundred meters away from the previous spots that they stood.

***

After following directly behind her at full speed which absolutely shocked Maxmillan, since he struggled a bit to keep up with his mom at his peak speed of 90km/h, he couldn't help but be incredibly dazed. Also, she didn't seem fatigued in any way. It was like she dashed for only 2 meters before stopping.

Once they caught sight of the fleeing Magiwolf in the distance, Maxmillan produced a smile in his face and said, "Thank you mom."

"You are welcome, son. Quickly, go do your thing. And if you further want my help, don't be shy to say. I do know a few more magical tricks that will be of great assistance to you." Lenna said and grinned. She seemed delighted. Which Maxmillan could immediately notice and was happy at his mom's soaring delightfulness.

'Mother must have been a really adventurous woman when she was young. Look at her happiness at just this small bit of adventure that she engaged herself in. I can sense her lively adventurous spirit returning.' Maxmillan said within himself as he proudly looked at his mother who gazed at the Magiwolf in the distance.

"Maxmillan, what are you doing standing there like a pillar? Hurry, go obtain the Magiwolf and tame it into a docile magical pet. Also, don't forget to ask for my help if the beast seem too difficult to tame." Lenna said while Maxmillan nodded his head.

Swoosh!

He immediately dashed out from where he was towards the Magiwolf which immediately caught sight of him and became extremely angered.

With white fumes leaving its nostrils, the Magiwolf dashed towards Maxmillan who produced a smile in his face and clenched his two hands into tight fists.

Once he arrived before the Magiwolf that was more than ten feet tall, he immediately jumped into the air, to a feet above it before twisting his body in mid-air to send out one of his fists that weighed a ton at its head.

BANG!

Immediately his fist struck the beast, the beast grew dizzy and seemed to lose balance. Also, it vision became blurry.

However, it immediately regained clarity in the next moment and tried to turn around to attack Maxmillan with a magical skill that its possessed.

But Maxmillan who skillfully twisted his body in mid-air, had landed atop the beast and began to send out rains of slightly heavy punches at the Magiwolf's head to daze it.

Bang!

Bang!

Bang!...

Numerous bang sounds rang out as the Magiwolf's massive head was being continually impacted by Maxmillan's heavy fists.

Raaaaagh!

The Magiwolf which couldn't do anything to shake off Maxmillan that seemed glued to its upper back, suddenly roared in fury and produced a solid blast of dazzling yellow energy that emitted from its entire figure and traveled in all directions.

Maxmillan who was seated atop the Magiwolf and rained barrages of quick-hitting, slightly heavy punches at the Magiwolf's massive head to daze it and not to injure it since he only wanted to tame it and not kill it, was suddenly struck by the powerful, omnidirectional burst of a tremendously-solid energy that was capable of reducing a massively towering mountain to countless small grains of finely pulverized rocks.

However, nothing happened to him when a thin layer of white light suddenly appeared on his figure and fully encompassed him to protect him the blinding, violent burst of disintegrative magical energy that traveled in all directions and destructively ravaged the solid brown earth for hundreds of meters around it.

The Magiwolf which had used its last strength to desperately kill off Maxmillan and flee, suddenly grew excessively weakened and fatigued that it collapsed to the ground and struggled to breathe. While Maxmillan who was still seated atop it but absolutely understood what had happened, immediately turned his head to look at Lenna who only smilingly winked at him and further urged him to do what he wanted to do.

Maxmillan nodded his head at her urging gestures and approached the Magiwolf to touch its forehead.

'Transmigrator Survival System, what next? How do I tame the beast?" Maxmillan asked within himself.'

<<You have partially tamed the beast. Get ready for the next phase>> The cold and emotionless electronic voice of the Transmigrator Survival System suddenly rang in Maxmillan's head.

Then all of a sudden, a notification alert appeared in the holographic screen in his vision.

——————————————————————

[System Alert!]

——————————————————————

[Activating Beast Taming and Control Program...]

[Progress: 1%.... 10%.... 35%... 58%.... 67%... 81%.....]

——————————————————————

Once the progress bar counted to 100%, with a new system message appearing and congratulating Maxmillan for the successful activation of the Beast Taming and Control Program, Maxmillan could suddenly hear the translated voice of the Magiwolf.

'What do you want, devil? Leave me alone!' A furious frustrated scream rang in Maxmillan's head.

'Devil? Could you define devil and let me see who is more evil and devilish between me and the wicked lord that operated this human-enslaving base where peoples' sons, daughters, fathers, mothers, aunts, uncles, relatives, are sold off to faraway lands for gold coins, gold treasures and artifact items?' Maxmillan asked within himself with his thought translated to something that the Magiwolf which was mind-linked to him could understand.

'I don't care.' The Magiwolf replied firmly.

'Alright. Then I should probably kill you off. No point in keeping you alive. Would slay you just like I did to the others and get rid of the entire evils that have tainted this place.' Maxmillan directly said with unwavering determination in his inner voice.

Then with the pump-action shotgun appearing in Maxmillan's hands, and with a fierce resolute look appearing in his face as he aimed the multiple barrels of the shotgun at the head of the Magiwolf, he said in a somewhat fiendish tone, 'Greet your kinsmen for me in the underworld, if there is anything like that in this worl...'

He however couldn't complete his speech when the Magiwolf screamed out, 'Wait, don't kill me. I will do anything that you ask from me. What do you want me to do?'

'Good!' Maxmillan said with the nod of his head.

He then said further with a tyrannical inner voice, 'I want you to become my battle pet. You will follow me to intense magical battles and we would win it together. Is that something you would really want, or I shouldn't talk for long and simply end your life?'

'I can do that. I can become your pet. But what will be my gain in doing so? As far as I can see, you are not a user of Astra Mystralis. And it's only a strong and skilled user of Astra Mystralis that would be of great benefit to me, since they would nurture me with magic and assist me in growing stronger and more powerful. Every aim of beast like us is to become Paragon Astra Beast, which I wouldn't be able to really achieve that under you. Therefore, as you grow stronger, I become weaker. And then I will appear more dispensable to you.' The Magiwolf said while Maxmillan nodded his head in understanding.

'I understand. But you shouldn't look down on me too much simply because I am no skilled user of Astra Mystralis. I can fit you with otherworldly armors and weapons that will cause you to excessively frighten even Paragon Astra Beasts when the time comes.' Maxmillan said.

He then spoke further with a contemplative look in his eyes, 'Can you feed on other beasts to absorb the crystallized magical cores that they possess, and also on humans who can use Astra Mystralis?'

'Yes, I can.' The Magiwolf responded.

It then spoke further, 'As for the humans, I can devour them while they are alive to absorb their magical skills which I can make mine after fully understanding the profoundness and intricacies involved in skillfully operating their magical skills.'

'It's one of my innate abilities as a Magiwolf called magical memory absorption, which is only associated with our kind. No other beast in our world has or possesses this sort of skill-absorbing ability.'

'So, as long as I get lots of differently-skilled, tiered users of Astra Mystralis to ravenously devour, I will become a tremendously-powered Magibeast that possesses numerous formidable and stellar spellcasting skills of epic proportions. I will be of really great assistance to you in incredibly difficult magical battles. Then coupled with the strange alien weapons that you would fit me with, I will become unstoppable.' The Magiwolf said with resolve and determination that soared greatly and reached for the horizon.

'Good. Then I shall help you raise your strength to unimaginable levels.' Maxmillan said with great impression in his heart.

'So, do you accept to become my battle pet?' He asked.

'Yes, I accept.' The Magiwolf replied.

Maxmillan read through the long system message that had appeared in the screen in his vision and beamed a radiant grateful smile in his face, as the numerous rewards that he got, were as a result of his mother picking a much more stronger Magiwolf for him to tame, and even protected him in the process as she watched in the distance.

'Thank you mom.' Maxmillan said as he looked at her with exceeding gratitude in his eyes.

Then in the next instant, with determination appearing in his gleaming eyes, the massive Magiwolf that was in a collapsed state on the ground before him, suddenly vanished. It had been taken to a space where it would be worked on by the Transmigrator Survival System to equip it with mechanical implementers and make it ready for instant deployment in battles!
