Chapter 31 - Battling Lukka (I)

Chapter 31 - Battling Lukka (I)

"But before then, should I show him that we aren't people that he can easily mess with?" The old man that stood behind the Sky Bridges Lord in his room, asked with a terrifying glow of viciousness in his eyes.

"Haha. You just want to punish the kid, right?" The Sky Bridges Lord cackled in amusement and asked.

Then without waiting for the old man's response, the Sky Bridges Lord said, "Alright Lukka, do go ahead. Show him that he is absolutely nothing before an Astra Spellcraft Commander capable of wreaking town-wide devastation. But do not damage his body beyond repair. You know, I still need it. Haha."

Once the Sky Bridges Lord mentioned that, the old man who was an Astra Spellcraft Commander and was called Lukka, produced a fierce devilish smile in his face before leaving the Sky Bridges Lord underground secret room to go face Maxmillan who still searched for Lenna in the honeycomb of caves.

"Kid, get ready to die!" Lukka suddenly said in a vengefully wrathful manner once he appeared before Maxmillan. While Maxmillan who heard that, immediately produced a bright fiery light of viciousness in his eyes.

Swoosh!

He immediately dashed out from where he stood to where Lukka was with a glow of fierceness shining in his eyes.

As soon as he arrived ten feet before Lukka, he immediately produced a fully-reloaded pump-action shotgun in his right hand which he shot at Lukka like he had infinite shells. While Lukka who was amazed by Maxmillan's ability to spawn non-magical weapons, simply smiled and instantly conjured up an invisible deflective shield of magic that knocked off the blazingly fast, high-speed splinters released by the shotgun in all directions.

None of the subsonic-speeding splinters released from the shrapnel-burst shells, could pierce through his dome-shaped, magical deflective barrier. It was like an impenetrable membrane of pure energy that nothing could pierce or penetrate through.

"Your non-magical weapons are nothing before my vast and superior earth-shaking magical power. Surrender yourself to me or die!" Lukka said loudly and ferociously. He however wasn't going to kill Maxmillan since his older and more powerful master needed Maxmillan's physically powerful body.

"Oh really? Why don't we fight hand-to-hand instead of using weapons and magic to see who is immensely physically stronger between us, damned old bastard with one leg already in the grave." Maxmillan fearlessly said with an aura of beastly ferocity beginning to ensue from his tall figure.

"I see." Lukka said and broke an inexplicable smile in his face.

Then he said further, "Let's do it."

As soon as he mentioned that, with a short type of arcane spell leaving his mouth, Lukka suddenly changed from an old man in his seventies to a man in his forties that possessed dense bulky muscles.

Raaaaaaaaghh!

Lukka roared fiercely and exuded an immense aura of savageness from his body which immediately caused the ground for ten feet around him to crack and explode into countless splinters that shot off like furious projectiles in different directions.

He then dashed out at a shocking high speed to where Maxmillan was. While Maxmillan who awaited Lukka in the distance with tremendous surprise in his face, since he was greatly astounded by the destructive power of ravaging physical might that rippled outward from Lukka's body, also dashed out towards Lukka with his feet heavily hitting the ground like they were forged from steel.

Once they arrived in front of each other, Maxmillan immediately sent out his fist towards Lukka who also sent out his fist towards Maxmillan to knock him away.

Bang!

Their powerful fists heavily clashed with one another and caused the instant release of a devastative wave of energy that caused the ground beneath them to immediately develop numerous cracks on its surface, such that they formed into a gigantic web-like pattern that spread into the far distance.

Maxmillan after colliding fist with Lukka, was immediately sent flying for numerous dozens of feet where he shot away like a stone that was indignantly fired off from a fully-stretched catapult.

Thud!

He crashed to the bare ground with a loud thud from more than twenty feet away that he heavily clashed fists with Lukka's.

But even after crashing, the force that acted on him didn't immediately dispel, since his body dragged on the ground into the distance for another ten feet before coming to a complete halt.

"How strong!" Maxmillan mentioned with the expression of great astonishment and bewilderment written all over his face.

He was absolutely lucky that his skeletal frame was durable and powerful enough the withstand the aggressive force that passed into his body and abruptly sent him flying away like a floating kite that had broken off from its string. Or the bones that constituted the frame of his entire arm would have exploded into countless bloody splinters.

Hahaha!

The Sky Bridges Lord who was watching Maxmillan's hand-to-hand battle with Lukka, burst into a loud maniacal laughter in his room when he saw the look of intense amazement and bedazzlement that had appeared in Maxmillan's face.

While Maxmillan who had stood to his feet with the aura of savageness and viciousness that exuded from body intensifying in strength, suddenly shot off once again like a fired arrow to where Lukka stood like an immovable mountain.

Once Maxmillan appeared four feet away from him, he suddenly jumped high into the air and immediately sent his right leg out like a blasted spear at Lukka's face to flatten it. And as he did so, raging currents of air accompanied the leg that he kicked out with a tremendous amount force, such that it would crush a solid rock into innumerable fragments.

But Lukka, despite his old age, was a ferociously skilled combatant. So, he evaded the rock-splintering aerial kick sent out by Maxmillan and mischievously produced an invisible net composed of a formless malevolent force that captured Maxmillan's body like a fish in the river and swung him really hard against the solid wall of a nearby cave, instantly cracking it and causing numerous fragments from the cave's cracked wall to fall off to the ground.

Bang!

However, a terrifying explosion of fire suddenly occurred before Lukka and produced a wave of destructive energy that struck into Lukka's magically-transformed body with a lot of force and sent him flying for dozens of meters into the distance. Also, due to the power of the massive, deafening fire explosion, the walls of many cave collapsed to millions of rubles that instantly closed up the tunneled routes to many interconnected caves.

Maxmillan who knew that he absolutely wasn't a match for Lukka from their first clash, chose to quickly end the battle by entering a close range with him and leaving behind a timed explosive grenade that would unexpectedly explode right before him and lead to many grave injuries.

After getting up on his feet with his entire back totally swollen, entirely bruised, and ached really bad from the vein-ripping, blood-bursting and body-exploding annihilative impact that he made with the wall of the cave that he was aggressively shoved to by an unseen, telekinetic-like force that suddenly enwrapped his whole figure and sent him flying away like a boulder hurled off by a boulder launching mechanism, Maxmillan walked with intensely agonizing backpain and a terribly hammering, vision-blurring and breath-seizing headache to where the body of Lukka was furiously blasted off to by the powerful devastation wave that ensued from the detonation of the timed explosive grenade at point-blank range.

Once Maxmillan arrived before Lukka who was fully unconscious and was entirely covered with frightening ghastly wounds, he produced a pump-action shotgun in his right hand and aimed its six long and wide barrels at his head with a clear and wicked motive in mind.
