Chapter 13 - Revived

Chapter 13 - Revived

As soon as the orb of light entered Maxmillan's body, it immediately produced an invisible energy field of accelerated bio-tissue proliferation.

Once this bio-electric field of energy appeared and fully encompassed Maxmillan's withering body, it immediately diminished the effect of the spell by causing Maxmillan's dried and withering body tissues to immediately return, and at a speed that will awe people, as Maxmillan went from being a skeleton with little to no flesh to a really healthy individual with strong vitality.

Also, the orb of light shielded Maxmillan's mind from the spell that wanted to eradicate his mind and put his body in a living-dead state.

After a long while of the spell trying to destroy Maxmillan's mind and take over his body, the spell wore out and became less potent. While the fog that fully enshrouded Maxmillan's body, began to thin out with every passing second that after five minutes, it thinned out completely with nothing happening to Maxmillan.

Immensely surprised that the effect of his powerful dark spell was negated, with Maxmillan becoming a fully healthy person with an incomparably glowing rejuvenated skin, and had a strong aura of vibrance emitting from his figure, the leader of the evil ominous group prepared to unleash another spell.

However, he couldn't do so as the orb of light that previously submersed itself into Maxmillan's body, suddenly appeared a few inches above his head and produced a tiny ring-shaped item that immediately expanded to a large size and unleashed a devastating wide-area laser storm.

Therefore, countless numbers of ultra high-powered lasers capable of effortlessly slicing through a twenty-feet steel wall and produce enough heat that will rapidly melt it to boiling molten puddle from the line/path at which it was sliced, immediately erupted from numerous laser-projecting nano-sized orifices in the ring and destructively sliced at the air and everything else within a range of sixty feet around it in a tremendously chaotic manner.

The baleful fiendish group who weren't expecting such to happen, were immediately cut down to countless pieces of burnt flesh that couldn't be identified by anyone.

Once that occurred, with the one-use laser-storm projection ring scattering into nanoparticles that rapidly dispersed in the air, the orb of light sank back into Maxmillan's body and released a powerful jolt of electricity that forcefully awakened Maxmillan from his unconscious state.

Immediately Maxmillan snapped open his eyes, he recalled what happened to him moments ago and quickly looked around him in terror. However, he saw to his shock how innumerable pieces of burnt flesh lied on the ground around him.

"What happened here?" He asked as he scanned around once more.

But unable to fully comprehend what had happened, he immediately stood to his feet.

He then realized in the next instant that he had totally healed from the injuries that he was inflicted with by the people that came to brutalize him. Also, he was filled with energy, an energy that made him feel like he could run up to a hundred miles before getting exhausted.

"What happened to this people? And what happened to me? What in the world really happened here? I think I should be dead."

"But here I am, staring at the countless pieces of flesh of possibly the people that came to attack me. But who did this? Did a solitary Astral Spellcraft Commander took pity on me and came to save me?" Maxmillan couldn't help but ask as he looked around him with absolute shock in his face.

Just as he was about to reel himself out the shock that unendingly inundated his mind so as to quickly leave where he was before something untoward would happen, he suddenly heard an electronic voice sound in his head.

<< Maxmillan, I want to bestow you with the opportunity that will cause you to rise to the zenith in this world that hates and despises you. >> The electronic voice unexpectedly said, while Maxmillan who didn't anticipate that, became totally dazed at what was mentioned.

"W-What are you? Are you in my head? Or where is your voice coming from?" Maxmillan stuttered with the shock on his face growing deeper and showed no sign of fading away anytime soon.

<< I am the Transmigrator Survival System, which can as well be referred to as the Transmigrator Battle Support System. And I speak from within your head. >> The voice which called itself the Transmigrator Survival System, indifferently said.

While Max who was further bedazzled at what was mentioned to him, looked around him to see if someone or something was playing mind tricks on him. But alas, he saw nothing other than the totally destroyed road that he was on which was illuminated by the light coming from the moon.

After calming himself some moments later, he asked within himself, since he already understood that the voice was speaking from within him, "Transmigrator Survival System, what are you, really? And why did you choose to help me?"

Once Maxmillan asked that, the Transmigrator Survival System responded << I am a powerful futuristic consciousness in possession of endlessly large numbers of powerful weapons, armors, devices and gadgets that will help you rise to exceeding prominence in this World of Magic and Magical Monsters. >>

<< Once you can fulfill certain conditions without failing, then I would unendingly supply you with weapons and instruments; right from superbly-advanced technological weapons and instruments to pinnacle-level ultra-futuristic weapons and instruments.>>

<<I will provide you with armors, gadgets, devices, equipments, vehicles and aircrafts that are eons of millennia beyond those that you have on your planet, earth>>

Maxmillan heard that and couldn't believe his ears.

'What? This voice knows that I came from earth too? This is hugely bewildering!' Maxmillan said within himself with absolute shock written all over his face.

'And maybe it has scanned through my memory.'

The Transmigrator Survival System continued, << I chose to help you for a reason. That's all you should know, for now. >>

<<So, now that you have me, you will become someone that will rise to the top and awe the god-like beings of this world. You will become unstoppable, inimitable, indefatigable, and colossally powerful that you will be feared and respected by all mortal and immortal users of magic in this world.>>

'Wow. I am so glad to hear this. Thank you for choosing me out of the millions out there.' Maxmillan said with immeasurable delight in his tone.

The Transmigrator Survival System then suddenly asked, << So, shall we begin? >>

As soon as it asked that, and like a Heads-Up Display (HUD) helmet was suddenly worn on his head, Maxmillan could begin to see things which were holographic projections.

——————————————————————

[System Alert!]

——————————————————————

[Activate Transmigrator Survival Program]?

[<Yes>/<No>]

——————————————————————

[Return to Menu]

——————————————————————

Once this message appeared on the holographic screen that had surfaced in his vision, Maxmillan didn't need to think twice, or ask what to do next before saying, 'Yes.'

Then immediately, the holographic screen changed to display another where Maxmillan saw a long bar count from 0-100.

—————————————————————

[System Notification!]

—————————————————————

[Loading Transmigrator Survival Program!]

[Progress Bar: 0%... 1%... 11%... 37%... 54%... 83%...]

—————————————————————

Immediately the bar counted to 100%, Maxmillan's eyes shone with shock when he felt something really hot flow from his abdominal region to every other parts of his body, which then induced an excessively great pain that racked his whole body in the next second.
