Code Named: Dark Knight

I look like I'm suffering, huh? That's not good... But of course I'd be suffering. I mean, I'm gonna sail in uncharted waters, right? Both, taking on a challenge and creating something. It is painful, but it's fulfilling.

A Few days later after Kazuya initially created the energy sword, he was now holding a suitcase.

The suitcase is pure black with some redlining that glows. Inside the suitcase is his personal CR-Unit used for battling spirits.

CR-Units or Combat Realizer Unit, the purpose of its creation is to oppose the extraterrestrial beings, the Spirits. The CR-Unit provides enhanced physical strength as well as various weaponry to the user.

This CR-Unit was his personal one and he personally worked on it with other people. It is super strong compared to the regular units used by the AST.

He even added some unique functions to it. Of course he also personally selected and put in the weapons in it.

And now he was standing in the training room. Along with him are Reine, Kyouhei, Kotori as well as Shido, and some other people.

"Equip it now Kazuya" Kotori shouted impatiently.

Kazuya smiled wryly, "Alright, you're so impatient. Now let me show you my personal CR-Unit, Code Named: Dark Knight"

He pressed a button on the suitcase and he started transforming, well more like his armor started equipping itself on him.

This was one of the functions he put on, an automatic equipping function. He put on an AI on it that can take and do what he commands. Though the AI is not on the level of JARVIS it is sufficient for him.

After equipping the CR-Unit, Kazuya was wrapped in a black fitting armor with red linings. On his back floated two metallic wings colored in black with red on some edges.

Kazuya's face was shown and on his hands are two energy blades colored in red. Its body is black with a red blade.

"What do you think?" Kazuya seemed proud when he said that. Of course, since he personally work on his CR- Unit.

Those who saw it were in awe especially Shido since he was still not used to seeing such advanced tech.

"Good, then be prepared always in case of emergency" Kotori ordered "Then try to move and use it"

Kazuya nodded, "Alright" He held the two energy blades in his hands and floated in the air a few meters high.

He did some simple slashes using the two first. When he got used to using it he started using some advanced techniques.

Wind blades were created when he slashes, luckily he didn't direct them towards the people watching. He looks like he was dancing in the air.

Those who were watching him were amazed. This is the first time they saw someone doing something like that. It looks like a beautiful dance.

With his performance, Kazuya showed his Grandmaster Martial arts mastery. After he was done he slowly floated down and landed.

Clap! Clap! Clap!

The people clapped vigorously. Cheers were heard. Kotori and other high-level officials of Ratatoskr nodded in approval.

Kazuya was also smiling, he felt extremely satisfied and proud. He created his very own unit, of course with help but it's still an accomplishment.

After that event, the people started leaving. When Kazuya was about to leave to go home, a spacequake alert was issued. He couldn't help but smile wryly, he shook his head and equipped his CR Unit, Dark Knight.

He heard Kotori in his comm device in his ears ordering, "Kazuya, intercept the AST so they can't disturb Shido"

Kazuya also knows of Shido's special ability to seal the spirit's power so they can't cause spacequakes. It is unique to Shido so he is perfect for the job. And it's not like Kazuya was interested in doing that kind of job.

"Roger that" After that, he equipped his mask. Slowly it appeared from his neck upwards. It looks like a knight's helmet with the same color configuration of black and red.

He flew out of Fraxinus and flew towards the direction of AST. A few minutes later he spotted the group, among them is Origami.

The AST group was also surprised but they became alert seeing an unknown person wearing a CR- Unit.

"Who are you?!" Origami asked while readying her energy sword.

Then came a reply, "You can call me Dark Knight, I'm sorry but you cannot pass here" Kazuya's voice was altered and it sounds different from his usual voice.

"Ready! Attack him!" Origami Ordered

The AST fired missiles towards him. While in Kazuya's wings fired Lazer which neutralized the missiles.

Boom!

Then the missiles exploded which created dark smokes covering a large area around them. This was a perfect opportunity for Kazuya as his unit has an inbuilt Infrared sensor in his mask.

He can detect where the AST is. He rushed towards one, he didn't use his energy blade as he didn't want to kill them.

Using his armored hands he punched the abdomen of one AST member then knocking her out by hitting her nape. She started to fall but luckily she was wearing her CR- Unit so she should be safe.

Then he quickly knocked out the other AST. He avoided Origami and left her as she was stronger than the rest. By the time he was done knocking the others out, the smokescreen created by the explosion dissipated.

Now he only faced Origami. She readied her energy blade while he also took out one. Without waiting she rushed towards him mid-air slashing her blade.

Kazuya blocked it and was surprised by her strength. "You're quite strong but not enough" He pushed out using a strong force knocking her away.

Not waiting for her to balance herself he rushed towards her at extreme speed. Holding his blade he slashed multiple times at a fast speed consecutively. His slashes produced wind blades going towards her.

Origami can only block some blocked wind blades but the others cut her body in some parts. Then before she could even react Kazuya is already in front of her.

Bam!

A straight punch in her abdomen causing her to cough violently.

"Argh, Cough* Cough*"

"Alright let's finish this" Kazuya immediately appeared behind her and knock her out as he received a call from Kotori that the mission is done.

"Roger that, I'll be back then" Kazuya who was mid-air carrying Origami's unconscious body replied then he slowly floated down. Then he flew away to Fraxinus.

With that Tohka was successfully invited to a date by Shido. And Kazuya also tested his personal CR Unit in battle. He was satisfied with his performance.
