A lone boy, no more than the age of 8 woke up in the middle of a forest.

Only an hour ago David was a normal high school kid that was waiting to cross the road. When a kid shoots across the road. As this is happening a trucks breaks didn't work and was going straight towards the kid. David almost instinctively ran over to shield the kid with his own body. Protecting him from the truck. Then everything went black.

David looks down to see a body of a small child that looks like hasn't eaten in months with cuts and bruises all over.

As David is saying this he feels a pain in his brain, almost as if he was hit by a wave. Like magic he felt memories that weren't his rush into his mind combing with his previous ones.

David's current body used to be a orphan in a small village before it got plundered by evil cultivators, the beings that normal people see as gods killed, r*ped and stole from them. But the only thing that the previous bodies owner could do was run into the forest barely getting any food and water until he collapsed. With the only thought going through his brain was if only I could've protected them, all of them.
