2 (2) The villain system
'Did I just die...?' The images of what transpired at the end of his memory flashed through Dylan's mind.
It was an unfamiliar pain that he never went through even once in his life.
'It was like my heart was being squished together before it exploded. Just what was that...?' After Fear appeared on Dylan's face.
'What is this place...? Doesn't appear like a hospital...' Just as Dylan thought this, he felt like his head was hit by a brick.
Foreign memories poured into his head, which did not belong to him.
"Ugh!" Enduring the pain, Dylan looked through the memory, only to become silent, with a grimacing face.
It was the year 2055.
A time at which the human race as a whole had stabilized its situation. Well, that was the case at least for the urban areas.
A treaty of cooperation was made between the otherworldly races too. Who appeared from the other side of the space rift.
2024, it was the moment when the incident first began. Space rift, known as the gate, opened all over the world, allowing monsters indestructible to modern firearms to enter this world.
Driven to the corner, certain humans found strange power dwelling within them. They were called the Awakener. The only weapon that could kill the monsters and save humanity.
By the time humanity was able to push back the monster invasion, many of the countries were either destroyed or halfway through it.
With the cooperation of every surviving country's figurehead, they made a new nation named the Survile, upon the continent known as Asia in the past. That became the main base of humanity.
Asia and many countries did not exist anymore. Either taken over by monsters or given to the otherworldly races.
Dylan was dumbstruck for a while.
'Isn't the power setting the same setting as in the game, Harem Master? And what the hell? Why is the day I died, also the moment when the gate opened?!' Dylan felt his head overload.
"Ah, I need a cigarette..." Dylan looked around but did not find what he wanted.
The room Dylan stayed in was very luxurious, at least compared to the one he stayed in previously.
'Then, Let's see. I died and possessed this body and now, I have a second life?' Dylan summarized in simple words.
For a moment, everything felt like a dream to him.
'Let's check then.' Dylan's face grew serious.
"System." The moment he uttered those words, a transparent blue screen appeared before him.
"hahaha...As I thought." Dylan smiled, feeling he was not dreaming at all.
The system was something that everyone in this world had. Through which they could see their potential and strength.

The number of F's made Dylan, now Lucas, frown with wonder.
No matter how he looked at it, the man Lucas was a side character through and through. His max potential was only C- too. And his perception was G a level that made many awakened frowns.
'And from the memory, he doesn't seem like a good person in the slightest. He, no, it's now I, caused so many atrocious deeds....' Lucas felt no guilt, however, he felt bitter thinking he would have to take the blame instead of the past host.
Feeling a little bitter in his mouth, Lucas walked to the mirror in the bathroom and stared at himself.
White hair, pure like clouds; gray eyes, with a hazy look in them and a perfectly handsome face to match their features. He wore night clothes at the moment, appearing loose and comfortable.
'Woah! With this face, I won't be ashamed even if I asked out for a low-rank idle. Celebrity seems to be impossible, but that's that.'
'Tch! I would have liked to be reborn as a male lead. With their body, I could have asked any woman to go out with me. I could have made tons of money by becoming an actor too...'
What else was there in this world, leaving aside money, entertainment, and women?
Just as Lucas found something worthwhile in the middle of misfortune, he heard a sound in his head.

Lucas felt such questions flow before his eyes.
'There was nothing like that in the game...and it said villain right...?'
Thinking for a second, Lucas opened his mouth: "Villain system."

Lucas entered another session of silence.
'Two systems, I see.' Lucas breathed out loudly and accepted his current situation.
It was a letdown that he died in his past life, not even knowing the reason. It was most likely connected to the arrival of the gate on Earth. But it did not matter much to him.
"The villain system, How do I earn villain points?"

Lucas decided to ask another question: "Would it be possible to assassinate the protagonist?"

"Okay." Lucas clapped, with a huge smile hanging on his face.
"Hey, villain system." The smile on Lucas's face grew eviler, "Does stealing the protagonist's female lead be considered as harming him."
[Ding! Yes, anything deviating the protagonist from the path set to them, is considered damaging them. It is possible to plunder female aura points from the female leads too.]
'Ah~ isn't this like a bonus life for me?' Just as Lucas was thinking about celebrating, The villain system intoned.
[Ding! Being the villain, the protagonist would naturally be pitted against you. They will try to oppose you even if the host does nothing. It's the natural fate dictated by the world.]
'What bullshit?!' Lucas cursed at himself in the mirror.
In other words, even if Lucas did not go to pick a fight with the protagonists, they would come to him. That was quite an annoying trait of being a villain, but he had to accept it.
'Leaving aside making tons of females leads to fall for me. I want to do the things I couldn't in my past life.' Lucas smiled thinking what kind of hobby he should pick this time around.
