18 18. Slaughter Show

"My lady, how do you want to punish them?" Guntur asked.

Thyra was sure that he had no intention of intervening. However, not everyone thinks like him.

"Commander, shouldn't we hear what they wanted to do? It isn't the first time…"

As soon as Guntur glared at him, he stopped. A part of Guntur wanted to do so. However, he knew these knights were the Viscountess' people. And from the expression of the viscountess, he understood who was behind everything.

'But to think that young Miss would turn the table so easily…' Guntur looked at Thyra, remembering Justin's words.

"Never go against Thyra." That was what Justin had said. At first, he thought it was because of a father's love for his daughter. However, now that he looked into it, he felt the eldest miss wasn't as innocent as she looked.

Yet the girl smiled at him, declaring, "An eye for an eye. That's the rule I follow."

Thyra grabbed the sword from Jullia before walking towards one of the knights, who was kneeling, grabbed his hair and perfectly severed the head from the body.

There was a moment of silence. The scene of a girl, who hadn't had her coming-of-age ceremony, holding a severed head high in the air was too shocking to respond to.

Bella wasn't an exception. She couldn't believe what she was seeing. The girl who couldn't look at her now beheading people without batting an eye. She would have thought she was a completely different person if she didn't know.

Unlike her, the maids weren't so calm. The air echoed with screams as Thyra severed the head of the second knight.

"Stop." One of the knights shouted while a couple of hot-headed ones even charged at Thyra.

A kick to the chest threw one of the knights in the air, whereas another punch made the other bleed from his nose.

"Is this how you train your knight?" The blood had turned Thyra's off-white dress red. Holding the bloody sword, Thyra moved towards her third prey, asking, "I thought you agreed with my decision."

"My lady!" Guntur sighed. After all, he was the one who said the punishment for the knight who raised the sword against their master was death. Now, he could not just take it back.

It wasn't just him. Even the Viscountess didn't dare say anything. After all, intervening now only strengthens the point that she was behind all this.

They could only watch as Thyra beheaded every single one of them. Even before she slaughtered all of them, Bella left without saying anything.

'It was as if they were under some kind of spell.' Guntur was a little surprised at why the captive knights never struggled. Although their hands were tied as they kneeled, they never pleaded or struggled, even if the one beside them was beheaded.

"Put their heads on display in the city centre."

"Is that necessary?" Guntur asked.

Thyra looked at the old servant, who was still there and explained, "We need to send a message. I am not an easy target to touch. And if anyone dares, death will be the only outcome." Thyra paused before adding, "It will be the same for brothers and sisters."

Although a few of them thought she was protective of her siblings, the clever one clearly understood what he meant.

After she was done with it, Thyra left without even looking back.

As she returned to her mansion, Thyra saw someone waiting in front of her mansion. However, as soon as their eyes met, she ran away.

"Why is she still so shy?" Thyra could not help but laugh at Aria's retreating back.

"It isn't that she is shy. I have ordered her not to meet you for a month. It's an important time for my lady's child to grow."

"Why? Do you think I won't be able to control myself?"

"My lady, are you horny right now?"

Hure's straightforward question was a little surprising to others, but it put a smile on Thyra's face. It was enough for Hure to understand.

"My lady might have absorbed the essence perfectly, but sins are still part of your body. The more power of the essence you will use, the more dominant the effects of the sins will be."

Thyra understood. Although Thyra had used a knife before, it was still her first time using a sword. Not to make a mess, Thyra used the strength of the essence to sever the head of the knight in one swing. So, the result is expected.

"Now that we are talking about it, I want to ask, what are your sins?" Thyra looked at Hure, asking, "You have used soul charm on the knights, right?"

Hure smiled as they entered the mansion and said, "My lady, the food has been sent to your room and…"

Hure didn't end her words and turned towards the three following them. Expectedly, Jullia was the first to react.

"Didn't my lady ask me to show my ability?" Jullia wrapped her body around Thyra's hand. "Why not give me the chance to show off my ability?"

Although Thyra heard it clearly, she wasn't the least bit interested in her words. She failed to think about anything else while her hand was stuck in the softest mass of fat. And the jolt of ecstasy sent to her already-hard wand made it harder to control.

"This old bitch!"

Jullia smiled at Hure, adding, "I am younger than you."

"By two months."

Thyra shook her head. Although this world is very peculiar about a woman's age, Thyra had no such problem. It is better to say, Jullia was younger than her earth's age.

"Let's ask my lady what she wants." Hure looked at Thyra, only to be greeted with a smile.

"I would have liked you, but…"

"Kheeek…" Jullia spat the laughter out of her teeth.

"My lady, these girls can serve you as well." Hure looked a little angry.

The smell of jealousy put a smile on Thyra's face. "Tonight, I want to taste something mature." Thyra looked at the other two before adding, "I am not in a hurry."

It made the pair of girls blush. They have no problem understanding Thyra's intention. But it didn't make Hure the slightest bit happier.

"Rest up well. We need to start the training tomorrow. Hure, follow me."

Thyra entered her room with, Jullia and Hure behind her.

"How much gold did we have?"

It was also part of her plan. During the recruitment week, Thyra understood how much help she would get to train her army.

Even if Justin allotted enough budget for her, she was sure it would be cut off here and there. The amount she would be receiving would not be enough.

So she needed to find her own funds. She didn't just send them to threaten the young master. She also used this chance to clear some of the gold from the Viscount's mansion.

And she returned a fraction of it to ensure no finger was pointed at her.

"Around 700-800 in total. That will be more than enough for the winter."

Thyra shook her head. "It wouldn't be. But it's enough to get a start."

Jullia and Hure were looking at her, not understanding what Thyra was talking about.

"Hide the jewellery, for now. They will notice if you try to sell them right now. Instead, use the gold to get enough food to last half the winter."

"As I told you, hire blacksmiths, alchemists, and potion makers. Tell them they will only do our job for the next four months."

"And start looking for more essence. Preferably slime essence. I will let you decide if you find something better."

"How many do you need, my lady?"

"100."

But Hure and Jullia were shocked. There was never a case where every soldier in the army had an essence.

After all, no noble is interested in spending so much on something consumable. They would instead raise some of the knights than spend on ordinary soldiers.

But if that happened, the possibilities of what that army could do would be endless.
