Preliminary Round (Part IV)

"Who would have thought, the team of the disciples from the school of Master Wushu will be gaining momentum and they are starting to catch up with the other teams? Using an effective strategy to take down other teams while trying to catch up is actually working!" The commentator was sharing to the audience his own assessment regarding to the development of the tournament.

Cheers started to pour for the team of Hawks and many of the audience were impressed for the sudden changes in the performance and the leaderboard status.

The team of Hawks currently being on the 6th place.

At the sight of two other teams just ahead of them, they took a pause in preparation of one big attack from Billy.

They intended to remove enemies on their path. So that, it would be easier for them to overcome the obstacles ahead of them.

"Earth Shaker!" Billy chanted before focusing his entire ki on his right hand commanding the ground to shake. Other two teams lost their balance due to falling and getting trapped to the cracks created by the technique of Billy through the manipulation of the element of earth.

{-Earth Shaker-}

[][] Most Effective Damage: Against target with lower defensive ki

[][] Highest Damage Probability: Earth Quake

[][] Average Damage Probability: Strong Impact

[][] Weakest Against: Strong Defensive Ki

Different reactions echoed in the arena from the audience.

'You saw that?'

'Woah! For a {Junior-Rank} disciple, I did not know they could pull off things like that in such a young age!'

'No wonder! They could really bring it if they want to …'

'Imagine if they go all out and went into a rampage.'

'Scary youngsters!'

'Are you sure they are only {Junior-Ranked} disciples? What more if the senior disciples of Master Wushu performs!'

Various reactions were given by the audience but unanimously, they were impressed by the performance of the disciples of Master Wushu.

While cheers from the audience in the arena echoed all over, similar reactions reverberated in the waiting lobby for the participants.

Even the other participants who mocked at the disciples of Master Wushu started to feel embarrassed for the words they uttered due to the unbelievable performance of the disciples of Master Wushu.

Proud seniors amongst the disciple of Master Wushu were boasting their juniors in front of the other participants.

"See that!! Bwaahahahaa!! One team after another are being taken out by our juniors!! Who you calling weak, now!" Feilong could not contain himself from being proud and boasting his junior disciples.

A while ago, other participants were just mocking at them and now one by one, they are starting to see the prowess and skills of the disciples of Master Wushu in the battle field.

"Feilong! Enough with the boasting!" Master Wushu was completely calm and his composure was very dignifying.

Feilong realized that he lost his composure for a while and he was considered to be the most-senior among the rest. Since he was an {Apprentice-Ranked} disciple.

Upon the realization that he lost composure and formality, he apologized immediately to their master for his unbecoming behavior.

Other younger and lower ranking disciples compared to Feilong chuckled and contained their laughter at the sight of their most-senior bragging and acting too proud for the team of Hawks.

Though, there was a worry on Master Wushu's mind.

If the team of Hawks could truly gain the first place or fall short to merely 4th place at the minimum.

Stakes were getting higher for his disciples.

"Let's hope they could achieve the top spot!" Master Wushu pointed out to his other disciples.

But one of the {Senior-Ranked} disciples replied,

"Master, can they overthrow the leading team from the School of Narcisso?" No one from the {Senior-Ranked} disciples could consider Narcisso as a master of his own school due to his betrayal and abandoning Master Wushu when he was needed the most.

A brief pause from Master Wushu before he replied.

"Just have faith with Hawks and the others! I think there is more to expect from them for this preliminary round." Final words from Master Wushu.

Meanwhile …

[-At the obstacle course-]

In the obstacle course where other participants were racing each other to reach the final destination in the middle grounds of the tournament arena.

The team of Hawks is currently on 4th place.

Now, the four of them were in complete synchronization in their every move.

Largely thanks to Maya who took regained the senses of Hawks and Shams.

Shams had the sharpest senses among the four of them in the team.

"There is one team nearby and they are waiting for us. They are cloaking themselves to ambush us." Shams informed Hawks and an evil smirk was released.

"Good … because I have an idea what to do with them!" Hawks informed his team mates.

Immediately, Hawks summoned his tamed beast, Thor.

And he commanded him to release a powerful lightning blast.

There was a flash of a lightning rod from the released lightning blast that struck the other team waiting to ambush the team of Hawks.

Unfortunately, they were detected and got blasted off by the powerful tamed wolf of Hawks.

At their defeat, they were revealed and fell to the ground.

They were taken by surprise instead.

Another batch of cheers from the audience in the arena ensued.

Within a short time, the team of Hawks garnered unbelievable cheers and compliments from the audience.

Making them … the most favorite bet to win!
