From Tian Shan's firm attitude they knew couldn't get hold of him so they began to find a breakthrough through Xiang QingLing. As for Yuan Fang, he was like a mad dog who'd bite anyone when he was angry and they had known it long ago. That was why they only dared to pester these two.

Seeing that these people were now even threatening them in the name of God and Karma Xiang QingLing swiftly turned and responded, " Yes, one should fear God and Karma. She didn't say much but all her words were directly meaning to curse them.

The three sneered and quickened their pace. The day was already on the rise, they had to hurry and make it before dusk.

Pie Yao finally reacted seeing their leaving backs and ran after them without caring about anything. Even the intense fear evoked by those fierce-looking guards couldn't stop her from chasing them.

She was so fast like a shooting arrow Tian Shan was caught off guard, and when he realised what had happened Pei Yao was already hanging onto his leg.

Everyone was rushing and unprepared. No one had expected Pei Yao to have such guts.

The scene froze for a couple of seconds before the guards hurriedly stepped forward to drag away the girl.

However, before they could take action.....

" Oh, what a coincidence!"

The strange silence was suddenly broken by the clear and crisp voice of the youth, who was walking over from the opposite direction.

Jiang Ying Yue swaggered over at an unhurried pace and behind her was Wei, who followed closely behind maintaining a step distance like a loyal knight of a queen.

" Xiao You!..." Out of the corner of their eyes, they caught the figure of the youth, clad in white, standing in front of them with a brilliant smile on his handsome face.

They were surprised and their eyes couldn't help but light up for a moment.

" Brother Tian Shan, it looks like your peach blossom is in full bloom." Her smile was full of meaning and carried a teasing intent.

Tian Shan finally reacted, quickly turning his head sideways to order his men, " Get rid of this thing for me, what are you waiting for?!" His face was full of disgust. He didn't intend to touch her.

" No, no, Brother Shan, I like you so much, how can you do this to me?! I know I am really wrong I shouldn't have abandoned you and followed Xiao Tingfei!" Pei Yao was crying and pleading, looking like a delicate and pitiful pear blossom in the rain as the guards moved forward to drag her down.

Jiang Ying Yue's lips couldn't help but twitch listening to her crying.

Why did it sound like the plot of a revenge novel, where the female lead gets dumped by her fiance before their wedding for his mistress, after which followed a series of massive face slapping and reversal?!

She cast a lazy glance at Tian Shan, the abandoned bride and found his change quite interesting. Her bright, knowing gaze shifted after a glance and discreetly sized the row of guards with exceptional auras, who stood tall and strong protecting the three and something stirred deep in her eyes imperceptibly.

Looks like it wouldn't go to waste!...

" Xiao You, what are you doing here?"

" Where's Lanlan?"

The people asked at the same time after the commotion quietened down.

Pie Yao was gagged and forcefully dragged away God knows where and others didn't dare act rashly anymore.

They quietened down and behaved like a turtle hiding its shell to escape the storm. Their faces were pale from both fright and their aggravating injuries.

Nonetheless, no one felt sympathy or pity for them.

" Just taking a stroll and Sister Lanlan and others are still at the camp." Jiang Ying Yue answered lightly before a slight frown appeared on her delicate face, " Are you still intending to go even deeper to hunt?"

She had just arrived earlier and didn't get to hear everything but still, she could figure out something was wrong.

The three were startled by both sentences.

Taking a stroll?!...here?!

What place was this?!...

And...going deeper?...they were obviously going out!

They couldn't decide what to ask first, both of her sentences equally baffling.

At the end...

" No, Xiao You, we're not going in, we're going out and this is not a place to take a stroll, let's get out of here together." With that Tian Shan wanted to loop his arm around Jiang Ying Yue's shoulder like a big brother protecting his sibling intending to leave the place together.

Unlike usual, now he couldn't even care about Wei, whose strength was what he admired the most. Deep down he had a gut feeling that something huge and unpredictable was going to happen on this mountain soon.

It was better to hurry!

If wasn't for those people's repeated pestering he wouldn't even bother with them.

First, it was because he just wanted to leave them a last bit of consideration on account of years of companionship and second, he just wanted to leave a last bit of reminiscence of the purer days he had spent here.

After all, after returning to that land he wouldn't have that luxury!

" What are you doing? Just talk!" The arm that was moving towards Jiang Ying Yue's shoulder was slapped harshly halfway.

" Aiyo!..." Tian Shan howled in pain and looked at the man, who had somehow appeared between him and Jiang Ying Yue, with a face full of grimaces.

He wanted to complain but someone kicked him aside before he could do that.

" Move aside!" Yuan Fang was Yuan Fang, his tongue was too poisonous whenever he used it, " Don't cry like a sissy girl from a bit of pain!"

Tian Shan wanted to retort back, what do you know, why don't you try feeling this 'bit of pain'?!

However, when he saw the judgemental look in the gazes of his subordinates he immediately shut up and held back all the pain and indignation, except...Hmph!

They let their master get beaten right in front of them, and yet they dared to give him that look!

Deduct...deduct!...He must deduct their pay for the next two months!

Tian Shan snorted and held down his bruised paw that was throbbing and glanced at Yuan Fang crossly.

After all, he wouldn't dare do that to Wei!

" Master Wei, would you mind moving?" Yuan Fang asked Wei with a bit of urgency, his heart was still hanging as he added another sentence, " I'm not that dim-witted Tian Shan, so you don't have to worry?!"

He was reassuring Wei, he wouldn't act rashly.

However, for some reason, Wei just felt very irritated and just stood still, not moving.

Just as Yuan Fang was losing his patience...

" Wei, move." Jiang Ying Yue's cool voice sounded seeing that Wei was still unmoving.

Upon hearing her command Wei frowned slightly before taking a step aside, opening a small gap between them.

Jiang Ying Yue:"....." What's wrong with this dead man?... Did he take the wrong medicine?!...

" Young Master You, where's Lanlan?!" However, Yuan Fang didn't mind, his mind was focused on more urgent matters currently. He craned his sideways through the gap, trying to catch every expression on her face.

" Sister Lanlan, my brother and everyone are at the camp. Don't worry they didn't come with me." Jiang Ying Yue answered seriously.

From her tone and expression, Yuan Fang could tell that she wasn't lying. His heart which had been hanging by the thread finally settled down and he heaved a sigh of relief.

However, the next second...

" Oh, by the way, you are taking the wrong direction." Jiang Ying Yue threw a bomb casually.

The 'unlucky' trio:"....."

" What?!... Wrong direction?!" The three shouted simultaneously, his eyes bulging in disbelief.

" Yes, this is the opposite direction. If you continue, you'll only walk deeper." Jiang Ying Yue nodded and understood these three had really gotten the direction wrong.

" Really?..." Tian Shan still couldn't believe it all their efforts from the morning had come to nought in the end.

Not only did they walk out of this forest, but instead ended up going even deeper, then what the heck were they walking for so long?!

However....oh, wait!

" If it's the wrong direction, Xiao You, then how come you appeared from this direction?" Xiang QingLing asked the exact question the other two were thinking.

This...Jiang Ying Yue didn't know how to answer either. Her gaze subconsciously landed on the tall man in front of her and without a second thought she dragged him as cover.

" I have Wei."

The 'envious' trio:"...." Oh, yes, she had Wei. Well, she had the capital to be wilful!

The three readily accepted her excuses and didn't ask any further questions.

" Alright, it's like this then we can only accept it. It's useless lamenting now." Xiang QingLing sighed softly.

" Then let's get going, if we saddle any longer we have to spend the night here again," said Yuan Fang, his expression wasn't looking much good either.

" Hmm." Tian Shan also nodded as he turned to Jiang Ying Yue, " Xiao You, aren't you also coming, let's go together." He was looking at her and Wei hopefully.

He knew his men might not think much of these two young men but he had a feeling that these two weren't just how they looked on the surface.

After all, there was a reason for a superior to be superior while a subordinate to be a subordinate.

It was better to grab their golden thighs when they had the chance!

Just look at those two miraculous recipes the little boy brought out one after another with ease.

These must be some legendary secret treasure of some ancient recluse family from some powerful recluse land just like their ' Land Of No Bounds'. And these two must be from their young masters, after all, their dignified auras alone were exceptionally impressive!

Jiang Ying Yue didn't know what the other party was thinking, however, even if she had known she would have just extended her hand and said 'nice cooperation.

Goa Peng's face was flushed red, the more he spoke, the more he lost control of his emotions. His fear, unease and his rationality were completely eclipsed by his deep indignation and anger.
