" Hm " Xiao Ling hummed in a way of response

" enough talking now let's get some sleep " it didn't matter to YanZhi whether he slept or not as he for one didn't need to really do such a human thing like sleeping.... but he said that in a way to cuddle with Xiao Ling. YanZhi snaked his hands around Xiao Ling's waist and pulled him (XL) into his chest and embraced, Xiao Ling fidget in wanting to break away as his face turned red

" Brother Yan let go, I can sleep by myself " Xiao Ling said in a low and awkward tone

" I know that, but I can't. Anyway since we're going to be together for a long time and we'd do what married couple does sooner or later... just cuddling shouldn't be a problem, we have to start by this to get used to each other " YanZhi argued

" you're right.... Brother Yan is smarter then me and has lived longer than me, I'll listen to Brother Yan " YanZhi smiled listening to Xiao Ling agree with him. Xiao Ling nestled into his chest more before his breathing leveled as he fell into slumber, YanZhi placed a soft kissed on Xiao Ling's forehead before he also closed his eyes to rest.

They woke up early the next morning and got ready to leave for town which Grandma found very displeasure that YanZhi was taking Xiao Ling along

" Brother Yan, are we going with the bull cart? " Xiao Ling asked curiously

" no! we'll be using a different transport " YanZhi replied back and led Xiao Ling out of the house carrying a basket each... Xiao Ling's face showed confusion as they kept walking in the path to the mountains

" Brother Yan I thought you said we were going to the town..... but isn't this the path to the mountain? " he asked confused

" yes we're going to the county... " YanZhi eyed Xiao Ling from head to toes strangely. " Don't tell me you'd be happy going to the county dressed like that... I had Yue make a set of clothes for you, we'll get ready at my sanctuary before we head on our way to the county " YanZhi stated as a matter of fact making Xiao Ling smiled embarrassedly

" Hm " Xiao Ling answered

A childlike woman wearing a green dress run to them happily when they got to YanZhi's sanctuary

" Master, Master, Master... I was able to advance last night.... I was successful in creating my first core, the silver core " Yue happily reported to YanZhi excitedly, Xiao Ling was surprised to see her in a complete human form from what he saw the previous day... being able to transform completely added more charm to her looks, Yue was slender from head to toe... her face which still had baby oil flushed red as she giggled happily looking more enchanting.

" I know, your advance came earlier than expected.... but it'll take hundreds of years for your core to advance to golden core, you should keep up the good work and don't laze " YanZhi smiled and praised her patting her on the head

" what's a core " Xiao Ling asked breaking their conversation

" oh I forgot to explain that to you.... all cultivators and beasts have cores and roots, it starts with silver core, golden core and platinum core. I have three platinum cores which still aren't enough to hold my qi.... so I nurture the species which fall under my protection with the essence to keep my cores in balance, but you on the other hand... you're different. You don't fall under the cultivation rule, you already have a core which is black. Your black core is equivalent to that of golden core in the path of cultivation which can advance again if you keep practicing " YanZhi explained seriously to Xiao Ling

" Wow~ mistress is strong " Yue felt very jealous of Xiao Ling as she started cultivating before him but he already had a golden core and she just created her first core which was silver

" okay, so what about my roots? " asked Xiao Ling

YanZhi wore a dark blue hanfu which was embroidered with dark blue patterns around the neck, the sleeves and the hem. He wore a white shoe embroidered with dark blue patterns, Xiao Ling also wore a white hanfu which was embroidered with light blue flowers with a white shoe embroidered with light blue flowers. Yue wore a pink beautiful dress with a pink shoe making her look like a child, her hair was made in a ponytail with hair ornaments decorations, she wore a light make-up looking naturally beautiful with jewelries around her neck and ears. She made Xiao Ling and YanZhi's hair after YanZhi dried their hair with his qi in a bun decorated with a crown and hair pin.

" You look dashing mistress " Yue complimented Xiao Ling as she admired her hand work, Xiao Ling blushed hard as he felt YanZhi's heated gaze on him

" Thank you " Xiao Ling whispered

" we're ready to go now master " Yue reminded YanZhi as she saw him lost in checking Xiao Ling out which made her giggled

" Hm " YanZhi answered, he opened a small pocket space and placed the baskets they were carrying in and took out a long well crafted sword.

" you have a space? " Xiao Ling asked curiously

" I can carved a bigger space than this, but this is not a big space... I just use it to keep my things, it's about fifty acres " YanZhi answered making Xiao Ling stunned. Yue took the embroidered pouch around her waist and pulled out a long sword from it making Xiao Ling stared at her Stunned again, ' I have to get used to these things around th cultivators ' Xiao Ling comforted himself.

YanZhi applied his qi into the sword making it float above the ground and widened in size and so did Yue... he stepped on the sword and stretched out his hand to Xiao Ling

" won't people see us? " Xiao Ling asked worriedly

" No! I'll shield us with a barrier. No one can break or see through my barrier unless I wish it so " YanZhi comforted before Xiao Ling took his hand and get on the floating sword, he got into YanZhi's arms and held him tightly fearing that he met fall

" don't worry, you won't fall off " YanZhi assured him before the sword slowly got higher up, they rode on the sword in the air with Yue following along on her sword.
