Abilene's hospitality

The inner maternity sanctum was were the mothers gave birth and more importantly it is hallowed ground that has killed hundreds of men that entered because of their thoughts.

In other words only women and newborns should be in here because anyone else must watch their thoughts otherwise they die.

I tried to speak to Abilene once I came to my sense after what she just said buy she spoke before I could.

"I can tell by the look on your face that you understand the significance of where you are but worry not it seems like Velor likes you as he allowed you to enter the sanctum border without trouble"

She took a breath and spoke again.

"By the time your people brought you here you were on the brink of death in a weird catatonic state no doctors or healers could help so I took you in here as a last resort"

She grinned devilishly and spoke.

"If you died on crossing I could of gotten out of our deal but if you got better you would owe me a favour it was a pretty easy win win situation"

I spoke.

"Well thank you kindly for your consideration how long have I been here?"

Abilene looked at me and spoke.

"Oh only 4 days but apparently you were in a weird state for two ish weeks anyway we must leave the sanctum let us go see your companions"

I stood up and we left the sanctum into a hallway then into the main chamber of the cathedral and Abilene pointed to a door and spoke.

"Your companions should be in the mess chamber through that door you can leave at any time but remember that you oh me a favour"

I looked at her and spoke.

"Noted thank you very much archbishop Abilene for your generosity and hospitality I plan to head back to serothor straight away"

She nodded and I walked into the mess hall and there they were Elise was looking at a stained glass window, Aaron was eating soup and Eren was talking to him.

I spoke as clearly and loudly as I could.

"Hey guys I'm back!"

They all looked towards me and Elise ran towards me and tackle hugged me to the ground while crying the other too walked towards me and held my hands with tears in their eyes.

It made sense whether they actually cared for me or not nearly losing a prince who you swore to protect probably took a toll on their minds.

Elise stopped crying and looked me in the eyes then slapped me and spoke.

"I don't cared what you did never fucking do that again you hear me?!"

She just...slapped a prince? the other two probably had a similar look on their face to mine I breathed in and spoke.

"i promise I will try my best not to, it wasn't exactly my idea of a good time"

She nodded then got off me I stood up and spoke.

"Let's head home"

Later we were in the carriage and I a thought crossed my mind and I tried to speak to Oz.

"Oz are you there?..."

~silence~

No reply it felt kind of lonely but on the flip side I'm finally free of his irritating annoying voice-"

suddenly I heard Oz's voice.

"Hey what the actual fuck I don't reply for a few moments and you start celebrating me being gone?! some friend you are!"

I rolled my eyes and asked him a question.

"So what exactly did you do? we almost died"

Oz spoke.

"Well truth be told all I did a summoning spell but instead of summoning I sent honestly I didn't know if it would work your life energy seemed to be the price luckily that sanctum place completely healed you"

That brought up another question.

"Then where did you send him?"

Silence so I asked again.

"Oz where the hell did you send him?"

*Splash!*

A strange man with armour and a spear was now in my bath sadly for him I'm in quite a horrible mood.

"Huh? oh another assassin? well you caught me at a pretty bad time ordinarily I would spare you life but right now I'm not that nice... GLACIER!"

The man turned to ice and now it was time for my favourite part I put out my hand and flicked him then he turned into little snowflakes gods I love that spell.

After Oz told me I prayed that no one in the palace got hurt then I looked out the window at the passing scenery it was the middle of autumn but only the start of the war.

The war would go on for years luckily with my red thread bloodline I don't really need to worry about ageing though it isn't as good as the god heart it still prevented me from dying of old age and generally slowed the ageing process.

I also use aura and that adds decades to my lifespan just at the red stage still even without that at the end of this year Oz's body would be 18.

The next significant event would be about a month away so I'll send the emperor a note through the fire flute.

It was the first attack of the iron empire against 8 of its nearby nations it sparks mass territory wars against the moderate and slightly larger nations from all three super powers.

I can't stop it but by giving the empire a heads up they can better prepare to vassalize or treaty with a few of the more prominent nations in the chaos of the consecutive wars.

But first things first I need to go home.
