River Crossing Slash

Meng who was still within the Scarlet Dragon Mountain Range stopped by the river and couldn't help but remember the skill he never even tried before.

[River Crossing Slash]

Meng grabbed his sword and closed his eyes, focusing his Yin energy on the sword before he swiftly opened his eyes while slashing his sword in a quick motion, releasing the Yin energy stored in his sword, cutting across like a torrential river. His attack actually started chopping the trees in its path like a hot knife through the butter for more than 30 meters.

'I can't believe that this is actually a "Softness" type of attack created with the help of water element. Well, let's train with it a little bit and cultivate for a bit on the way to New Moon City' Meng thought and decided to use some time to familiarize himself with his new types of profound energies.

After 3 days...

'I am finally the second stage of the elementary profound realm, however, it actually takes twice effort for me to breakthrough because I can absorb only one energy at the same type, and once that energy reaches the point of breakthrough, I have to start absorbing the other energy, it's as if I am practically cultivating for 2 people My River Crossing Slash also made some progress but mostly on the control side instead of power.

*Roar!* *Clang*

'Hm?' Meng's right ear slightly twitched when he heard the sound of battle. He was no longer at Scarlet Dragon Mountain Range and he estimated that he should be relatively close to his destination by now. He felt slightly intrigued by the sounds so he started hopping from one branch of the tree to another with the usage of his Cloud Steps.

When he arrived in a location about 500 meters away from his previous location, he noticed 3 people fighting with a quite strong Nascent Profound beast very similar to a turtle, it was obvious that its defense was top-notch however its speed wasn't bad either. All 3 people were fighting with the spears in their hands.

Meng noticed that they were slowly losing as 2 men were only 10th stage of Elementary Realm while the girl they were protecting was only at 8th stage. It was a kind of miracle that they were able to hold on for so long.

'Still, for Nascent Profound beast to pop up here...This is the edge of the forest already, why is it here? Did they perhaps bumped into it deeper in the forest and tried to run away?' Meng thought as his eyes changed color while he was observing the situation from above.

"Junior sister, you have to run away and inform others! We will try to hold it back" One of the men said while another just nodded his head while tightly gripping the spear in his hands.

"You guys...T-There is no way I can do that! I know that you are no match for this beast!" The girl who was bleeding from her right shoulder said while her legs were shaking, not from the fear but from the excessive loss of blood.

*BANG* The beast attacked one of the men but with their teamwork, they were able to repel it but they couldn't even penetrate its skin.

"Do you want us all to die together then?! Use your remaining strength and return to get treated before you bleed out!" The first man who previously told her to run away lost his patient and shouted at her angrily.

'What a touching scene...Well, at least they look like good people, also...they must be part of the sect, their clothing is very similar and all of them have spear as a weapon of choice. It wouldn't be bad to get some connections, I still have no idea what old man Xia said to the branch of the Black Moon Merchant Guild but considering that at that time I was still cripple, it's definitely not about joining any sect.' Meng thought and quickly selected the best materials and bones from his inventory and made Vista craft the mask to cover his upper half of the face.

He quickly put on the black mask with silver outlines on his face and quickly used Cloud Steps as he noticed that one of the men was about to be torn apart by the beast.

Meng instantly appeared above the beast that was 3 meters tall, 5 meters long, and 3 meters wide.

"Wha-? Be careful, its skin is hardest to penetrate on its back!" The previously quiet man shouted when he noticed Meng appear out of nowhere.

'River Crossing Slash!' Meng used his skill at full power which took 10% of his profound energy, 2 slashes of what looked like a torrential river traveled straight against the beast's back and when it made the contact with the beast, 2 slashes of Meng's energy cleaved through the beast and separate its body into 4 parts.

"What?!!!" All 3 of them exclaimed with disbelieving expressions.

"...Thank you for helping us, brot- sir" The first man quickly responded and thanked Meng while bowing to him. He was meaning to call him brother but he quickly abandoned it as he didn't want to risk disrespecting the person in front of him.

"Eh? Y-Yes, thank you for saving us, benefactor!" The other man and woman were still slightly shocked but quickly bowed to Meng after recovering their senses.

"Don't mention it brothers, sister, however, I will be taking its profound core if that's alright with you. Anyway, can I take a look at this sister's injury?" Meng took the profound core from the ground and made it disappear right from his right palm before he looked towards the injured girl with his still radiating amber eyes.

"O-Of course, please take it! As for junior sister..." Both men looked worriedly at each other, not sure what Meng want to do with her.

"I-It's alright, senior brothers." The injured girl around 16 years old replied with a resolved expression.

"Good, just sit on the ground and lean against the tree...Can you also take that robe off as it's obstructing me from seeing the injury?" The girl did as she was told but when Meng crouched near her and asked the other part, she couldn't help but look horrified and embarrassed.

"That..." Both men looked away while slightly blushing.

"...Don't you wear anything sleeveless under that robe?" Meng immediately understood her reaction and asked with a slightly tired tone.

The girl shook her head numerous times in succession.

"What about anything covering your bre- you know what I mean." Meng asked however he refrained from telling it aloud just for the girl's sake.

The girl nodded a few times, looking like a scared puppy but she also pointed at the men who were with her.

"What is it, junior sister?"

"...I think she means that she wants you two to leave while I will treat her injury but you should decide quickly, she is still bleeding as we speak." Meng said calmly.

"That's...Do you really want us to leave, junior sister?" Both men looked slightly hurt and worried at the same time but the girl still timidly nodded so they went a few meters away from them.

"If you peek, I will gouge your eyes out." Meng added as they were leaving which made them shrudder.

Seeing this, Meng couldn't help but release an amused smile.

"Let's get this over with, shall we?" Meng turned to the girl and she nodded before taking off the upper part of her robe, revealing beautiful peaks covered by the cloth.

"You should apologize to them after this and clear up this misunderstanding." Meng said and touched the area above the injury with his index and middle finger, circulating his yang energy into them

"Eh?" The quiet girl who was blushing and looking away suddenly turned to Meng and looked into his radiating eyes.

"They were just worried and now they think that you would rather trust the stranger over them who protected your life." Meng explained with a kind tone, he already experienced something similar during his missions with his old comrades.

"T-That's not it at all! I-I just know them some time already and we are usually together as a team, I wouldn't want them to see me like that and whenever they would see me, they would see the image of this..." The girl replied with a raised voice before she quickly calmed down.

"Haha, you are quite pure, girl." Meng laughed while he started making circles with his fingers around her injury on the shoulder. The injury started to slowly close up.

'Well, this is the first time I am doing this but it looks like it's working.' Meng apologized in his mind to this girl for using her as a guinea pig.

"Of course I am!" The girl seemed slightly angered by his words but she quickly stopped talking with a slightly regretful expression.

"...Is the benefactor truly just a Second stage of Elementary Profound Realm?"

"Just call me elder brother and yeah, I am officially at the Second stage of Elementary Profound Realm. Now...it should be finished." Meng said and stood up when her injury completely healed, however that wasn't all.

"EH?! I-I...I broke through the 8th stage to the 9th stage?! How is that possible, elder b-brother?!" The girl was astonished by how quickly her injury was healed but it turned into shock when she realized she broke through the 8th stage.

'Pure Yang energy is indeed very beneficial for women. I can actually raise their cultivation just by giving them some of my Yang energy. Now that I think about it...Yang energy is much easier for me to attract so I usually spend more time gathering Yin energy but just being near this girl, I can feel that my time cultivating would be much faster. Females naturally attract more Yin around them...but going to some brothel to cultivate would be quite shameful plus the Yin energy wouldn't be as pure as that of a virgin' Meng thought and most likely discovered the way how to increase his cultivation speed without the need of physical contact with anyone.
