The word 'Dao' didn't have a direct meaning, but if it were translated, it would be similar to "way."

And every single dao in the universe followed that translation.

The Dao of Space was like this. It had floors of comprehension, with the higher floors being harder to comprehend than the lower floors. There was a path that one had to take in order to continue to advance.

Skipping floors would hurt someone's future, as in order to comprehend one floor, you need to understand the previous ones.

Like in the Dao of Space, Xue Bai was on the 2nd floor of comprehension, Spatial Manipulation. And while the name of the 7th floor, World Creation/Destruction, sounded amazing, Xue Bai knew absolutely nothing about how to reach it.
