Lu Xie also took some other necessities like instant food, a lighter, a stove, some pans, water, etc. After she got them all she carried them onto her back and slowly move up.

She had to use her skill so she easily carried all the bags that are almost 5 times heavier than her. As she walks up the stairs she heard growls and grunts of zombies.

So she speed up her pace but also made sure not to make loud noises. She kept walking up the stairs and hurriedly got to the last floor then put some barricades on the stairs using chairs and foldable tables.

"Phew, that should do it" she mumbled and wipe her sweat as she carried the bags back to the room

Lilith was waiting for her impatiently, then heard footsteps so she stared at the location of the door. And sure enough, she saw Lu Xie come in with heavy bags on her back.

She got worried and wanted to help her but she couldn't stand it.

Lu Xie placed all the bags on the floor, she felt very tired and sat on the floor tiredly while sweating buckets. Then a tail wrapped around her waist and wiped her sweat she smiled at her.

"Hehehe see I returned as promised" she grinned widely

Lilith nodded and continue to wipe her sweat using her tail.

After resting for a bit, Lu Xie opened the bag and took out a stove then put the butane onto the side and turn it on. The fire was lit so she pull out a pan then put it on the stove and added water.

She was going to make simple ramen and also cook meat for Lilith.

After cooking she cut the meat and put it on a plate then push it toward Lilith.

"Eat it if you want to heal eat so you will have the energy" Lu Xie coaxed softly and patted her head

Lilith bowed her head and then took a bite of the meat, she was surprised it was good so she kept eating.

Lu Xie also ate some ramen and lit up a fire using the wood she collected on the way up so they will not be cold at night.

After they both ate Lu Xie yawned and felt sleepy she had already put aside all the things she used and was leaning against the cold wall.

Lilith saw her and softly wrapped her tail around her then pull her toward her, Lu Xie smiled and rubbed her head against her fur, and slowly fell asleep.

Lilith wrapped her closely and then also fell asleep beside her.

The next day,

Lu Xie wanted to go out and explore the premises and get more things they need but Lilith won't let her go.

"Lilith let go," Lu Xie said softly

Lilith shook her head and stared at her.

Lu Xie sighed "Even if I want to take you with me I can't you haven't healed yet and also I'll go get some medicine for your wounded since I couldn't find any yesterday," she said

Lilith still shook her head and pulled her clothes.

Lu Xie patted her head and rub it softly "Please Lilith" she said in a low tone

Lilith looked at her and reluctantly open her mouth to let her clothes go.

Lu Xie smiled and press her forehead against her "I'll come back before lunch okay" she whispered

Lilith rubs her side face against her and nodded.

Lu Xie left the building while holding a pipe in her hand, she got out of the same small hole the original owner got in since it was the only access all the other places were covered with heavy machines.

"Ali, make sure to warn me of any zombies or people approaching"

Lu Xie immediately went to the other alley and slowly walked as she approached a store just a few blocks away from the building.

The store's windows were broken and there were also some footprints and blood, it might have been raided already.

But she still went in, looking around it was indeed raided but there are still some small food left. So she put in her bag the food that had not expired, and also got some medicine for Lilith's wound.

There were also some clean bandages so she took them and other things. As she was about to leave

Lu Xie hid and run immediately to the second floor then peak through the window. She saw a group of people consisting of 3 men and 4 women.

Lu Xie nodded at the information, then look around for any place she can hide. She doesn't trust those people she had a hunch and her gut is telling her to hide.

It might be the original owner's reaction after what happened to her, so she trusts her feeling. Then saw a window in the corner she investigate it and saw that she can escape there.

She put the bag behind her and hop onto the window frame, as she also heard people's voice downstairs. She slowly balanced herself and held on to the small gaps in the wall as she crossed to the other side.

But she almost slipped and fell, thankfully her fingers tightly gripped the small gap in the wall, and she was breathing heavily.

"Hey! Did you hear that?" a man's voice

Lu Xie hurriedly moved as she heard footsteps getting closer, she didn't notice her clothes got stained by the blood that dripped from above.

She heard them looking around the place.

The man looks out the window and looks at the sides but he saw nothing, he frowned he was sure he heard something.

"Come on let's go, we don't have all day," a woman's voice said to him

The man nodded and then left.

Lu Xie who was hanging on the other side of the wall breathed in relief and jumped down near the bushes, she knew she was going to make some noises so the moment she jumped down she immediately runs away.

"Haaa....haaa...haaa"

She panted then lean against the wall when she got away, "Aaisshh...haaaa...haaa...this child...haa...haaaa...body" she murmured

Lu Xie waved her hand as a sign and then wiped the sweat on her forehead, she peak behind the wall and saw the group of people walking out of the store and then leaving.

So she also hurriedly catch her breath and went back to the building she threw the bag over the wall and then crawled into the hole.

After entering the building she patted her clothes which were dusty and also noticed the blood stain on her clothes she immediately took them off and got a water bottle then wiped her body.

"Yuck that was disgusting" she complained

She had a spare cloth she got before she left because she might need it.
