Lanta had truly disappeared to the underworld after leaving the castle and just as she told Scarlet she went in search of Severus. She searched for the energy of the hound and traced it to the lonely river village but she could not get in.
This place was hard to get into like the palace of the god of death.
"What to do?" She asked herself.
She sharpened her bird hearing and enhanced it in hopes of listening in on the conversations in the village. If she heard the hound's voice, then she could send him a message through the wind.
Her problem was that there was a lot of loud fighting going in the village. She perched on the highest tree branch she could find and dulled all of her other senses except for hearing. She would find that hound no matter what.
