8 CHAPTER 8: VERY STRANGE

The young man remained unconscious for three days and finally woke up the other day and during this time, she didn't receive any customers but luckily, she also didn't receive any mission so she was very safe.

But to spend her own money to buy this stranger some water every day was driving her crazy, her money was depleting every single day and she didn't have another to buy him water if he keeps on sleeping.

As she was coming from the tuck-shop after closing around five in the evening, she was humming a tune, a sad one as she was still upset about not getting any customers.

When she arrived at her home, she found the young man surveying her house and she glared angrily at him.

Marcus never expected that he will get saved by a weak woman. Although he had been unconscious, he could sense his surroundings and he was aware that a woman took him in and had been feeding him miraculous water that saved his life in a big way.

As a cultivator from a reputable clan, Marcus couldn't be labeled as a genius but he was surely a good seed. He was just eighteen years old and he had been lucky enough to be chosen into a sect when he was thirteen years old.

This time he returned to Ciliren to see his family but who knew that he will get into a conflict with another Childe from another family over a girl. Marcus was also a hot-blooded young man but he wasn't naïve enough to pursue someone who didn't care about him.

When he was young, he happened to fall in love with a girl from another great family in Ciliren and he wanted so badly to be with her. She was superior to him in terms of status and cultivation so he worked extremely hard.

When he was ten, the girl was admitted to one of the greatest sects and this even motivated him further to work hard. At the age of thirteen, he who has a green spirit root was admitted to his current sect.

He was very proud of himself, although the sect he was in wasn't on the same level as the one for his girl, it was better than having a lesser spirit root and being stuck at home.

He cultivated seriously, went on missions, and did everything in his power to improve but fate was very cruel. His girl surpassed him by an unimaginable gap and ended up getting engaged to the Saint of her sect.

Hearing the news was a huge blow to him and he felt as if he had been betrayed. But when he was beaten blue-black and she didn't even care about him and watched coldly at the scene, Marcus came to an understanding that she had never really cared about him from the beginning.

It's been so hard for him to try to forget about her and this is what got him into trouble. When drinking some alcohol a few days ago he ended up calling the girl he loved with everything he owns some names and a few suitors were pissed off.

In the end, a game of Tom and Jerry happened and Marcus ended up getting hurt and seeking shelter in the forest. He didn't know where his pursuers went but he was grateful that someone saved him.

He had been stuck at the martial disciple realm of the seventh stage for a while now and no matter how much he tried moving past that hurdle, it just never worked and yet being fed water for over three days, that hurdle was removed and he finally had his breakthrough and now he was level eight.

This was the greatest news that he received the whole year. He had been receiving too much bad news and he wanted something good.

So, when he saw the person who saved him for the first time, he was very emotional. And when he thought of how every time, she fed him water she would complain about her money, he found her very cute.

"Since you are awake then you need to prepare for your departure but before you leave, you need to compensate my silver. I spent a lot on you after all," Alayna spoke in an aggrieved tone and her words made Marcus chuckle.

He didn't lack money at all so a few silver coins were just a bare change but at the same time, he understood perfectly that for people like this lady it means a lot.

"I will leave and thank you for taking care of me but before I leave do you mind telling me about where you found that water you gave me?" Marcus couldn't help but ask as that water had been very helpful to him.

Alayna was a bit happy when she heard that her money will be compensated but the happiness was even greater when the young man asked about the water.

"Give me my money first and I will tell you about it," there was no way she was going to fall for that.

Marcus sighed seeing how the lady was acting but he understood the reason why she was doing this. His storage ring was still on him so his money was on him, he took out a money noteworthy 10 silver coins and passed it to Alayna.

She looked at the 10 silver coins note with a smile on her face, "since you are this generous, I will tell you about it."

Marcus was very excited to see that he had managed to let the lady talk, "sure, tell me about the place and I will head there."

"I can even do better if you give me another one!" she smirked as she looked at the rich young man.

Marcus had never seen someone as shameless as this lady but the money wasn't considered much for him to get angry over it.

He took out something much better than money and gave Alayna a level one spirit stone. She took it with trembling hands, how long has it been since she held this stone?

"Fine, I will take you there!" since he was this serious, she decided to take him to the tuck shop. After all, she will be making more money once he starts buying.

Marcus followed the lady out and on another narrow path that led straight to the tuck-shop. Marcus observed the forest seriously and noticed that this path wasn't new and it has been often used, this lady was really living in the forest and he wondered where she gets her guts.

After walking for a while, Marcus saw a building that looks like a shop and it shocked him greatly. Who would be so stupid to open a shop in such a deep forest like this one?
