21 CHAPTER 21: HIRING 2

Elena was quite amazed by how generous her boss was, she was used to having people taking care of her and it was because of duty. This was what they were supposed to do and they couldn't do anything to oppose it.

But Alayna wasn't doing this because of some duty, Elena could see that she was doing everything with love and because she was willing. Although Alayna was a blackhearted shop boss charging high prices for snacks and food, she was really a warm person.

She then vowed that she was going to protect this person and make sure that no harm befalls her.

With that thought in mind, she tagged behind Alayna holding a few carrier bags as they returned home. Yes, she was going home and the sound of that made her heart race.

Alayna had no idea of what Elena was thinking about as in her head she couldn't stop thinking about several recipes to cook for this child. She had seen how starving the other was earlier and it made her heartache.

They were so many times that Alayna starved and was bullied when she first came into this world. It wasn't an easy thing to survive but as someone who had been given a second chance in life, she wasn't willing to give it up that easily.

If it wasn't for that heartless mistress of hers who made her a cripple and left her for dead, she would still be bowing to others at this stage. Somehow, she was grateful for everything that happened, if that calamity had not fallen on her, would she be here right now?

Meeting so many powerful people and all of them showing her respect and looking at her with reverence, this feeling was quite refreshing. Even her thirst for revenge had completely vanished.

She wonders, however, if that heartless mistress were to see her now, won't her intestines turn green with envy. Just thinking about this, she became very excited.

Finally, the two reached the container house and Elena couldn't help but sigh with emotion. In her original world, there were no houses like these ones. Her world was a bit more advanced than this world and yet she had never seen a structure like this.

As she was powerful, she could sense the protective shield covering the house and it was very strong. It was a shield that even she will find very difficult to sneak into.

This on its own showed her just how mighty the people behind Alayna were and she was looking forward to meeting them.

Alayna had not yet shown Elena the interior of the house, so she decided to show her around.

"Let's get inside, I will show you everything. This way in the future, you don't need me to show you all the time," she said with a smile without turning back as she entered.

Elena tagged along and her stunned expression as she stood at the door like a dummy made Alayna chuckle.

"As you can see, my house is a bit different from the others. Since you are my employee and you have signed the contract, I don't mind showing you this place and letting you stay here.

Whatever you see in this house must remain here. Anyway, that is not the point here," she smiled once more as she looked at Elena.

Elena felt as if she was living in a completely different world. This world was so low that she wasn't even expecting to find something of this caliber.

Everything that she was seeing was so new and she had never seen anything this majestic before.

"It's just so beautiful!" Elena couldn't but exclaim.

"This is nothing, just wait and see in the future. It will be very majestic!" Alayna couldn't help but brag about this.

Since the system gave her such a beautiful place as her home at her level, what will happen when she levels up?

Just thinking of the possibility of owning a mansion and several servants, her eyes squinted with joy.

"Let's take the tour first. As you can see, everything is a bit swamped at the moment but don't worry, everything is available. As you can see the bedrooms are up there ...."

Elena listened attentively as she surveyed the small place. Despite being small just like what her boss had said, everything that should be in the house was there.

Her favorite thing in the whole place was the huge flat smart screen T.V on the wall, to think that one can watch movies on that thing, she was very interested. She was used to the crystal balls that magicians use to record things and then anyone can just watch after infusing some spiritual energy.

And to see something that didn't require spiritual energy and yet one can watch until satisfied, Elena fell in love immediately.

Alayna chased Elena to shower while she prepared some dinner for the two of them. Elena was also amazed by the bathroom but didn't act like a country bumpkin anymore and finished quickly.

When she finished, Alayna was halfway there and Elena sat on the couch to watch some show currently being aired on the screen.

The food was served after a while and the two enjoyed their meal. Elena was embarrassed to not do anything so she volunteered to do the dishes and Alayna let her.

As the next day was a workday, the two went to bed early and Elena slept in the spare loft with the smaller bed while Alayna slept in the main loft which was her bedroom.

Elena had a peaceful and comfortable sleep, something that she had not done in a very long time. If it wasn't for that noisy rooster crowing non-stop in her ears that woke her up, she doubted if she was ever going to wake up.

She realized that it was the alarm that woke her up, and seeing Alayna also rubbing her eyes groggily, she pushed down her irritation and reluctantly woke up.

The two had breakfast and went to the convenience store and a queue had already formed. Alayna was already used to seeing this so she wasn't fazed anymore.

People however were very curious about the young and beautiful girl tagging along Alayna. This was the first time that they saw the boss with someone and their curiosity was piqued.
