Smell of Blood

I didn't expect the Kobold to turn to dust, looks like it's magic stone got cracked in half from the last attack. Storing both dropped items into my inventory I started running towards the west smelling a faint sweet smell in the air.

The smell is getting stronger as I hear what sounds like a fight. I spot a group of 8 Kobolds attacking a pair of female demi-humans with 4 Kobolds and a little kid laying on the ground probably dead or injured. Increasing my speed as I try to approach from the side. The demi-human with bunny ears seems to be hurt, she was using a katana trying to keep the Kobolds at bay. The other was a fox demi-human was behind supporting the bunny demi-human with spells. They probably won't be able to hold out much longer.

The Kobold in the back notices me and howled before rushing towards me with 3 other Kobolds. Once close enough I started throwing stones aiming for the chest this time easily taking them out. Dashing towards the rest of the Kobolds I throw a stone taking out another Kobold. There's no clear shot for me to the remaining Kobolds so I went in with my club in hand.

The bunny demi-human managed to take out one of the Kobolds before being hit another Kobold causing her to fall to the side. The last two Kobolds begin closing in on the fox demi-human. Not giving the Kobolds anytime to attack the fox demi-human I pounced towards them grabbing one by the neck while slamming my club into the other's head. The club shattered on impact taking the Kobold out while the last Kobold slouched over twitching with deep gashes on it's neck.

I looked at my hand which to my surprise was covered in Kobold blood with nails extended. Looking around to see all the Kobolds on the ground my nails retracted. The animalistic instinct of this body is no joke, the sweet smell of blood makes me want to take a bite at the meat before me. I must be hungry. Hearing a weird sound I came to my senses and noticed the fox demi-human has passed out.

Quickly I knelt down to check if she is still alive, confirming that she is breathing and there are no open wounds I carried her over to the bunny demi-human. She's alive the bruise on her shoulder looks bad she had scratches on her arm but nothing looked too deep. Leaving the fox demi-human here I picked the katana on the ground and quickly went over the Kobold bodies nearby to cut out the magic stones making sure they are dead before heading to the child.

Flipping the child over she is alive and from the looks of it she just passed out with no injuries. Carrying her and the huge hammer that was beside her over to a tree at the edge of the forest. I rushed to go pick up the 2 unconscious demi-humans. All the blood and bodies lying around is bound to attract more monsters or wild animals. I carried the bunny while using my foot to nudge the fox to see if she will wake up. Getting no response I placed my foot on the fox's stomach while saying Cleanse this fox and nothing happened.

With the thought of casting Cleanse I said it verbally "Cleanse" and it worked seeing the blood stain on my glove and the blood and dirt on the bunny gone however nothing changed for the fox. I brought both the demi-humans back to the little girl and set them down. To give Cleanse another test I picked the little girl and the fox girl lifting them up while casting Cleanse this time without any verbal casting. It worked confirming that it works on anything that I am carrying I set them down and headed back to the bodies to gather anything useful with the katana in hand.

I noticed one of the bodies it has fur which was darker in color, recalling it was the one that howled at the start probably a leader or something. Approaching it I see its still breathing so I decided to test some stuff out with it. I removed the mask on my face and surprisingly it disappeared once I took it off , opening inventory I noticed it's still on the costume tab but it has been set to hide. Looks like I won't have to worry about people stealing my costume set.

Looking at the Kobold I cut off it's fingers and proceeded to cut the magic stone out killing it. Popping one of the fingers into my mouth I chewed it bone and all, looks like even the claw is not a problem to me the taste was not too bad. The basic knowledge of the world Bibian and Genne gave me holds true.

If the magic stone of a living monster is damaged badly the monster will turn to dust. Removing a magic stone without damaging the stone will cause the monster to die but the body will not turn to dust. I stored the 3 damaged magic stones which was beside the Kobold leader's body and went ahead to find any stones or anything useful while munching on the remaining fingers.

Going around I got all 12 magic stones 4 of which were damaged and the Kobold Leader's stone looked different from the rest. I also picked up an onusa which was covered in blood the fox demi-human's weapon. I cast Cleanse on myself again to remove all blood before heading back to the 3 unconscious girls.

Placing the 12 magic stones and their weapons beside me while seating across from the 3 of them hoping they wake up soon. I start to look at them closely.

The fox girl has long black hair with a red maple hairpin and a pair of black fox ears with a poofy black tail, wearing a white and red shrine maiden outfit with red leggings and the onusa which is a wand used in rituals she is most likely a range caster.

The bunny girl has white shoulder length hair with a yellow headband wearing a black kimono with a golden maple leaf embossed on the skirt. On her neck is a thin black choker but I don't think it's the type for slaves, probably just an accessory. She uses a katana so she's their front line.

The little girl has olive colored short hair that curls inward with two petal shaped ahoge wearing a black top with a orange jacket with a silver breast plate over black shorts and boots. The hammer that is most likely hers is about 170cm long clearly too long for her she should be a Pallum and with the hammer's reach she should be good melee fighter.

The 3 of them makes a decent team, if they are not tied to any familia I'll probably attempt to get them to take on my Sacred Mark. The bunny girl's wounds has already started to dry up, the bruise on her shoulder looks nasty but there is nothing I can do for her. They don't have any potions not even any food with them. Either there is a town/village nearby or they lost all their belongings before reaching here.

Looking at my hand I tensed it to make my claws extend and retract, the claws just appear to go right through the gloves and does not leave any holes when retracted. It makes me wonder the rules form-fitting goes by and the thought that my claws actually pierce and scratch through a Kobold's hide like butter. I need to test the sharpness of my claw and maybe how hard it is and the magic [Lightning Claw] will probably improve the damage inflicted.

There's some movements in the fox girl's fingers. After a few minutes she wakes up and look around, she noticed her friends beside her. The moment our eyes met she started crying. Should I say anything which language should I use, why did she start crying? Having no clue what to do I just let her cry and wait for her to calm down.
