65 Ceremony (1)

"Have you heard about that?"

"Heard what?"

"The demon curse had been cured!"

The two ladies' topic had been shifted to that of the miracle which recently happened within the territory. It had been one of the most famous topics that was currently being circulated within the Evandall.

"Of course, I had! My aunt was one of the people who were cursed but now she is getting healthy again!"

"Oh my… That's unbelievable. To think that such a curse could be…"

"I know, right? Young master Lucas was the one who cured it! Our youngest master is the saint of God Lucian! That's why he can do such a miracle!"

"We have to praise Young Master Lucas!"

"We surely have to!"

"May Young Master Lucas be forever gained the protection of Lucian!"

They didn't know that there was a white cat passing near them with a grin on his face as he went around the city to explore the human world that he hadn't visited for the past few hundreds of years.

The Evandall city was lively, delighted by the improved situations of the state as they prayed for the peaceful days would last forever.

Lucas felt that the morning tea was so delicious. It had been two months since he started healing the people infected, and it even made huge progress. There were almost no cases within his territory.

It was also a lot easier because people decided to report immediately if they were having the symptoms of demon curse as they realized that they would not be killed if they were infected but instead they would be cured.

'With this, one problem is solved.'

If the people continued to do so, there would be no chances of disaster of demon curse which would make the kingdom breakdown, happening in the future and Stella's death could be stopped.

'Ryosuke, you better have a good relationship-life with Stella.'

Lucas cracked a smile as he imagined the male lead and female lead being together till the end of the story.

"Master, you seem to be in a good mood."

"It's just that good things happen lately."

Lucas replied as Tus asked with a soft smile.

Even though the territory was not filled with exaggerated rumors like Lucas being the son of god and having unnatural healing abilities because the information that he summoned a spirit was being kept secret since it was the information that should already be kept as secret.

And if Lucas had become the spirit summoner, he would become a part of the church of Lucian and his actions might even be controlled by the Pope.

Lucas didn't want that as he thought that visiting church everyday or doing activities related to that was not his favorite. In fact his little freedom might be gone if he was watched like that.

'Exaggerated rumors tend to disappear fast.'

Lucas thought that those rumors would die fast when the people gained some other thing to focus on which was why he was not that worried.

And it was not only the curse case, the political tension of Evandall with other territories was also getting better with Evandall's side winning. Because there were also some infected cases within the other territories and the only one who could cure it was Lucas.

And Lucas didn't cure them for free.

He was not a saint to cure them for free.

That was why he told his family to bargain with the territories who tried to drag the Evandall down and made them help the dukedom with either political power or financial situation. But they kept it as a friendly assistance or to pay back to those who helped the Evandall when they were in need.

He thought that he would have to negotiate with his father with this proposal as Cassius was someone who would not refuse to help if there was something that would destroy the well-being of the kingdom but it made Lucas's jaws drop when his father easily accepted it, with his brother and sister cheering for him.

They even had some type of grin that Lucas even didn't want to imagine. It seemed that the pressure of other nobles had made them change but Lucas didn't try to get into their business. They would do as they please.

"I am going out for a bit."

"Where are you going Lucas? Didn't you promise to rest?"

"Master, where are you going?"

Eura and Tus glared at Lucas. The reason was that a week ago, Lucas had a small nosebleed from healing the patients continuously. According to Alexios, it was because Lucas's body was still small and could not handle the full power for a long time. And from that time on, they were focusing on Lucas not to heal anymore for two weeks unless they were in very serious condition.

"Just to the training ground to see my brother and sister! I am bored staying inside the mansion just sleeping and eating."

'And also to wave the sword a bit…'

But of course Lucas didn't say that. And he sighed gladly when both of them sighed a bit. Lucas would like to get older as soon as he could or at least reached 14 years of age so that he could be recognized as an adult. He hoped that at the time the worries of his family would get a bit lower.

'It is only a few months left before I enroll the royal academy.'

Lucas counted the days he had to go to the academy so that he would be free a bit from the watches of his family and get to do whatever he wanted. The best thing was that he was also going to be able to put Ryosuke under his watch for two years.

Lucas would like to prepare more, gather artefacts that he knew of from the novel and also help Ryosuke gain the items that he needed earlier than the novel timeline since he felt that the events of the novel events were happening sooner than it should happen.

Lucas didn't know that he had already reached the training ground as he was lost in thinking. And his feet stopped when he heard the metal clashing.

Whoops

Clink

The sound of the sword clashing could be heard from a distance and Lucas could see that his brother and sister were training, using the real swords. Most of the time, knights used only training swords when training or having a light spar but it was a different story for his brother and sister.

There were also knights, in their training suits, looking at the two's spar, cheering them and praising them wholeheartedly. They were proud to look at the young lord and young lady of the house use mana swords beautifully and effectively.

"My brother and sister are really amazing, aren't they?"

Lucas also watched them carefully, being proud of them like the other knights, thinking that they would be able to protect themselves well with skills like that.

"Master is also amazing!"

Tus interfered as he saw Lucas gazing at them deeply.

"Yea! Lucas, you are even more amazing because you can save a lot of people! You have such an amazing ability!"

And Tus's words were being supported by Eura as the two looked at Lucas with sparkling eyes which even made Lucas to be confused of what they were suddenly getting at.

"Young Master Lucas!"

Lucas turned back as he heard someone call his name. He could see a knight running to him in a hurry as if he were afraid that he would not be able to meet Lucas right now.

"Are you... huff…. available right now? Huff….huff… Actually… huff… I would like to tell you something."

Lucas heard the knight say as he slowly caught his breath.

"Of course, I am. You can tell slowly. Catch your breath first."

'Why is he in a hurry? Is there any new cases of Demon Curse among his family?'

Lucas tried to guess the reason and it seemed that Tus and Eura were thinking the same, given that they didn't show that much of a like towards the knight.

When the knight felt that he could speak properly right now, he slowly stated what he had always wanted to say to Lucas.

"My name is Dan, young master. Actually,... I would like to thank you. For curing Alisa…"

'Alisa? Is he her brother?'

Lucas was confused. He didn't know that Alisa had some other relatives than her grandmother.

"You don't need to. I just did what I could. In fact, Alisa helped me a lot so I should help her back when she is in need. By the way, is she doing ok now?"

"Yes, she is recuperating really well. And don't say that, young master Lucas. It's all thanks to you that Alisa is able to live."

But then it made Lucas startled when the knight got down on one knee as if he was making an oath.

"I would like to somehow return the gratitude as your knight but I have already sworn my oath to Duke Evandall. So young master, forgive me that I could not give you the oath of knight."

"Hey Hey, you don't need to do this far! Just saying thanks is enough!"

Lucas didn't know how to react in such situations. From the past till now, he was never good with being praised. It always made him stunned and made his head lose its concentration to think.

"But young master, if you ever need help, you can ask me anytime. I would help you with everything within my range. As long as I don't go against the knight's oath, even if I have to give my life for you, I would gladly do so."

"No, I mean…"

"Please don't refuse, young master. This is all I can do for Alisa."

"Yes. I understand. I understand so please get up!"

'What would I do with your life?? I would never ask something related to a life like that ...."

Only when Lucas had accepted, Dan got up which made Lucas sighed in exhaustion. He noted that Dan treasured Alisa so much to get to this point. But it also made Lucas curious about Dan's relationship to Alisa.

"By the way, are you Alisa's brother?"

"Alisa's…. What….?"

Lucas could hear a giggle from behind which was most likely to be that of Eura and in front, he could see Dan with an awkward face which even made Lucas think if he was wrong.

"Actually, young master…."

"Yea?"

"I am Alisa's boyfriend."

"What?"

"We have been together for around 6 years now."

"Huh?"

"We are getting married next year….."

"....."

Lucas was dumbfounded. He thought that Alisa was going to stay single forever but he didn't even realize she was together with Dan for all these times. Lucas could hear Eura's small crack of giggle which meant that she somehow knew more or less.

'Is it only me that didn't notice? Is Alisa resigning related to this case?'

He heard that Alisa would no longer be working in the mansion because she wanted to take time recuperating and then rest well in Sansa but Lucas realized that this was going to be a reason, too. She might have wanted to have a family life since she was already old enough for that since a long time ago.

Lucas took some time to get back to senses as he told his congratulations to the knight, gaining the thanks again. He hoped that he would get a letter of invitation to the wedding somehow, though since Alisa was someone who took care of him well and with love since the start.

"By the way, Dan."

"Yes, young master?"

"Don't give away your life like that."

"Huh? What did you mean by…"

"I mean, make Alisa happy by staying by her side till you two get old. So don't give your life to me. Don't die. Just have fun and live well with Alisa."

'Because if you die, Alisa would be sad too.'

Lucas understood that Dan got what he meant by that. Because he didn't really want to make the one who cared for him sad, he asked Dan about this.

Lucas believed that Dan got his request as he gained thanks as a reply before saying to excuse him with a bow and leave to train again.

"Young Lady Maria wins!"

It seemed that the spar had already ended as Lucas heard a knight shout the winner and the others cheered. It was a result that Lucas had expected because in a short-time, Maria had more concentration, quick thinking and also rational enough.

"Big sister won again, right?"

Lucas also went down the training ground as he greeted his siblings. Of course, he gained back the warm greeting of his sister and sulking of his brother, murmuring that he would win against Maria next time as they started their normal daily life.

"Are you sure that Ryosuke was the only one chosen by god?"

The king asked Rajia, with his voice dull and confused. He was considering if Lucas was another hero or just a prodigy that appeared rarely.

"I am sure, your majesty."

"Hmm, I see."

Rajia waited for the king on what he had to say. He was glad that the information of Lucas' spirit summoning would be kept as a secret because if it was known, he didn't know if the king would make other people summon spirits too by getting the method no matter what.

"How is the current situation of the Demon Curse?"

"It is to the point of being cured completely, Your majesty."

"The oldest daughter participated in curing the demon curse with her best. And the Duke and oldest son were able to control the situation of abnormal demon movements in Ereck forests and other borders."

The cardinal didn't know what the king meant by telling this achievement.

"And the most important, the youngest son was able to cure the demon curse which could even lead to a national disaster. Am I right?"

"Yes, Your Majesty, Your words are true."

"Shouldn't we give them a medal if they are achieving that much? It would not be fair if it is left like that without rewarding them."

"By giving them a medal, you mean….?"

"I should probably make an awarding ceremony for them."

The king gazed outside the window with a grin that he was pretty satisfied, thinking that he should thank god that he got such amazing chess pieces.
