Melon was sent to the kindergarten near their neighborhood. On the first day, Hana and Jun took her there. At the entrance, many children, also on their first day, were crying and holding on to their parents, not wanting them to leave, creating a chorus of cries at the kindergarten's door. Melon, however, was independent and not clingy to her parents at all, eagerly following the teacher inside.

Hana had told Melon that kindergarten is a place where lots of children play together, and Melon was very excited about this, looking forward to it since the day they registered.

Seeing Melon enter the kindergarten, Hana called Jun to go home. Worry visibly poured out of Jun's eyes, as if he wished he could stay there until Melon finished her day. Hana pushed him from behind, forcing him to leave, saying, "It's okay, our little devil will be fine, just relax."

Sato Sensei sighed, "I'm worried Melon might bully her classmates."
