23 World 1.22: First and last snow

Min Jiwoo heads inside after witnessing the fireworks display from his balcony. He was all alone in the house because his parents got some business to attend.

He slumped himself on the sofa "Man! I wanted to watch the fireworks with Yuan" he snorted "But I guess Jiang Rui was with him...hmph! Cocky brat!" he exclaimed

He was busy sulking in the corner stamping his legs when his phone vibrated. He quickly picked it up with a frown face "Hello?" he snorted

He recognized the voice on the other line. It was his father's personal secretary and his secret assistant at the same time. His secretary helped him to catch Ling Shudi's father and because Ling Shudi was still a student and a minor, he stayed home having house surveillance.

Min Jiwoo's eyes widened after hearing his secretary's news "But!! It's impossible!" he exclaimed in panicked

"Geez! That one was too close!"

Qui Yuan exclaimed after tapping the vending machine two times, he left Jiang Rui there to buy some drinks as an excuse. The snow is not showering yet so Jiang mustn't say the magic words no matter what.

He brushed his face in dismay as he picked up the two beverages from the machine. He was going to turn around when his phone vibrated. He has a text message, it was from his mom asking if he was okay and if he was enjoying the festival with Jiang Rui.

Somehow it made him smiled, "Yuan must be very blessed for having a mother like this" he uttered

He was halfway near the riverside when his phone rings, this time it was a call. He quickly picked it up "Oh! Jiwoo! Why did you cal--" he was shut up by Min Jiwoo's sudden voice

"Are you with Jiang Rui right now!!??"

Qui Yuan tilted his head in surprised "Y-Yes? A while ago, I head out alone to buy our drinks" he explained

Min Jiwoo became agitated in the other line "Find Jiang Rui now!! Don't leave his side and mix yourselves in the crowd!" he said continuously

"Wait! Jiwoo calm down!" Qui Yuan became nervous

"How can I calm down?! Ling Shudi escaped from his house leaving a note that he will kill you and Jiang Rui!!!" Min Jiwoo yelled

Qui Yuan's heart beats rapidly "What?!" he exclaimed

Min Jiwoo on the other line was very worried that he was talking continuously "Tell me where part you are?! I already called the police to protect you two!" his voice was shaking

Qui Yuan walked faster, he didn't want to put Jiang Rui in danger because of him. He made big steps until he reached the river side. He saw Jiang Rui, staring peacefully in the stars.

"Jiwoo, I already saw Rui, he was okay...Don't worry I will followed what you said" he smiled

Min Jiwoo sighed, he can now breath well "Okay, I'm going to hang up, please be safe...don't you dare do something"

"Okay, rest assured…" then Qui Yuan hang up the call

[That almost scared me]

Qui Yuan smiled first before taking a step, he was just an inch away from Jiang Rui. He needed to protect the male no matter what!

"Rui!!" he called out, wiggling the soda on his hands "I'm here"

Jiang Rui smiled the moment he saw Qui Yuan from a distance, he was nervous for the past minutes but it all vanished away. When he was walking towards the male, he saw a shadow hover behind Qui Yuan. It was wearing a black hood, covering his face.

Qui Yuan was very unconscious, not even knowing who's behind his back. When he looked at Jiang Rui, he couldn't understand a thing because of the male's reaction. And before he could ask, Jiang Rui yelled

"Yuan!!!!!" dashing towards him

Qui Yuan then felt a sudden pain behind him, he felt like there was something stabbed on his back, he managed to look around and recognized the insane face.It was Ling Shudi!

Ling Shudi was smiling creepily as he pulled out the knife from Qui Yuan's back "Die!!" he shouted stabbing the male straight to the heart before vanishing away.

"Yuan!!!!!!!"

Jiang Rui dashed and caught Qui Yuan into his embrace, "Yuan!! No!!" He became agitated trying to think whether he should have pulled the knife or let it stay.

Qui Yuan coughed and spit some blood. He gasps, gathering himself to say something. "R-Rui.." he mumbled

"No! Don't say a word! Please!" Jiang Rui's eyes started to well up tears "Yuan!! Please!! Stay with me!" he screamed

Qui Yuan felt the numbness crawling into his whole body, the pain is starting to vanish away. His muscles won't move anymore. "R-Rui.." he whispered "I-I I'm sorry..I couldn't.." he coughed wincing from pain

"Please hold on!!! Yuan!! Don't leave me, stay with me!!" Jiang Rui's eyes became sore and his breaths are turning heavy

Qui Yuan who was enveloped in his embrace smile "T-Thank you.." he uttered "P-Please be h-happy al-always" he tried to lift up his hand to cupped Jiang Rui's cheeks that was almost soaked from crying "D-Don't cry.."

Under the warm moonlight, the breeze turned cold. The quiet night was conquered by coldness.

Slowly, white particles from the sky started to fall. The snow is starting.

Qui Yuan saw it "Jiang Rui" he called out "I-I m-made it..t-the f-first snow" he mumbled

It made Jiang Rui's heart more heavy, he wanted to spend the first snow of the year with Qui Yuan but not in this way. He couldn't believe that he was holding the male covered in blood.

Qui Yuan gathered all his strength to wipe the non stop tears from Jiang Rui's eyes "P-Please d-don't cry.." he gasped another as the blood came out from his mouth

Jiang Rui was so shocked that he can't even say a word, he was hugging the male so tight "Yuan! Pleasee…" he cried "D-Don't leave me!! I love you!!!" the cracking voice was making him more hoarse.

Qui Yuan's hand fell down with his cold body, leaving the male crying under the moonlight on the first snow of the year.

[I don't want this ending!! It's so sad]
