Qui Yuan was not expecting this from the cold-hearted Jiang Rui. He thought that he was just mistaking the male about his confession to him. Maybe Jiang Rui was just playing with his emotions so that he would rile up.

"Jiang Rui?!" he jolted the moment he felt a warm breath on his neck. He tried to untangle Jiang Rui's embrace, but the male just squeezed him more; resting his head on Qui Yuan's shoulders

[He was so cute! Oh My!!]

DICCU: And romantic

[What am I gonna do about it? I feel like I'm going to melt here]

DICCU: Hold on host! You can do it!

The moment between them was interrupted by the afternoon bell, it was for their second class. It was a relief for Qui Yuan when the male let him go. The two both remained silent, Jiang Rui walked towards the School rooftop's door "Yuan.." he called out

Qui Yuan jolted in surprise "Y-Yes?!"

Jiang Rui clenched and twisted the doorknob "Let's stop seeing each other from now on.."

[D-D-Did I heard it r-right?]

He was dumbfounded for a minute, trying to process the words inside his mind, but it seems like his understanding skills are not reciprocating it.

"W-What.." Qui Yuan uttered

The chilly afternoon wind blew the heat away, Qui Yuan was struck by the air passing through him. Then he realized that he was the only one there, Jiang Rui was gone.

That afternoon, Jiang Rui didn't attend the second class. Qui Yuan was staring at his empty chair until the class finished. He was doubting himself by making Min Jiwoo his pawn. Until all of their classmates left the room.

"Yuan!" Min Jiwoo tapped his back lightly

Qui Yuan didn't answer, he just glanced at the male who was hovering around him

Finally, Min Jiwoo decided to pull a chair towards Qui Yuan's face. "What's wrong this time?" he asked as he dropped his butt on the chair

Sigh "I think I made the wrong decision.." Qui Yuan said straight, he sulked his cheeks on the desk "Jiwoo, I'm sorry for dragging you into this, but I think we've gone too far" he added

A big question mark was drawn on Min Jiwoo's face "What are you talking about?" he asked

"Jiang Rui" Qui Yuan answered directly

"Oh!" The other male jolted "The dating thingy!" he exclaimed

Qui Yuan shrugged his shoulders in dismay "Yeah, I shouldn't have done that.." he sighed again

Min Jiwoo smiled back "Heh..?" he pulled his chair closer to Qui Yuan's desk "But I'm not playing around with you, Yuan" he swiftly cupped the other male's cheeks

While redness crawled towards Qui Yuan's face up to his ears, Min Jiwoo's jade green eyes were looking at him directly. "J-Jiwoo?!!" he exclaimed

But Min Jiwoo just smirked then his gaze went down to Qui Yuan's lips "Yuan, I don't intend on giving up on you.." he pulled Qui Yuan closer "I like guys… and I can prove that to you.."

Min Jiwoo decreased the distance between their faces, and without even a second thought; he kissed Qui Yuan on the lips.

"Let's stop seeing each other from now on.."

Jiang Rui was stunned from what he heard, it came from his own mouth. He shouldn't be saying that, but he thought that he was just a coward hiding in the corner.

He tightened his grip on the doorknob, he glanced at Qui Yuan before leaving the rooftop and he saw a disappointment in it.

He decided to cool the situation down by not taking the afternoon class. He stayed in the library, self studying. But the scene a while ago kept on playing and playing itself inside his mind, so he was always losing his concentration.

When the class was over, Jiang Rui decided to wait for Qui Yuan after class to clear the things he had said a while ago. He was going to apologize because it was not really his intention.

He was full of disappointment on his face while he was passing by the hallway. He was going to the classroom to sort things out with the male.

Qui Yuan was very kind to him, he was always helping him in a very tight situation. The male was always there to protect and care for him. Anyone would appreciate and will love Qui Yuan just by his characteristics. Somehow, he felt jealous when Min Jiwoo was always around him.

He was very thankful for Qui Yuan for always understanding him and for always giving hope on him. However, he needed to stay away to stop unnecessary things. He wanted to protect the male in his own way, no matter what it is.

As he got closer and closer, his steps got heavier and heavier as if someone was pulling him back and telling him not to. He reached the classroom entrance, and he was right! Qui Yuan was sitting there.

Jiang Rui paused, he was glued instantly to his stance. Everything inside his body stopped, deafening him from reality. The words he had prepared and thought of for Qui Yuan faded one by one. Everything was like a blank piece of paper.

A sudden jolt crawled towards his system going straight to his chest. His heart pondered in sadness and frustration. He was expecting that everything will be going fine, just like what he wanted.

But he was wrong.

Jiang Rui was wrong.

He couldn't even blink his eyes, it was like asking him to see what the reality wanted for him. His feet turned cold like a pack of ice.

He clenched his fist very tight. Jiang Rui's chest tightened in pain and grief.

"Am I too late..?" he asked himself

Regrets slapped him, he couldn't take his eyes from the scene he was facing.

He was so eager to talk to Qui Yuan about his emotions, but he saw something unexpected.

A languid smile stretches his face "I guess it was wrong for me to come back.." He uttered while watching two lovers kissing under the warm afternoon.
