16 16) It's complicated

Lucius took a breath and spoke slowly "my father is looking around for marriage contract."

I looked at him surprised, well I knew that this was going to happen sooner but I didn't expected this soon.

"Well congratulations" I said awkardly to him.

Lucius took a breath and he looked like he was having a inside battle with himself, he then spoke up seemingly making up his mind "There's a girl, she is from France and from a Wizarding family, I like her" the last part he said embarrassedly.

I gave him a half smile "So tell your father to arrange a marriage contract between you two" I advised him.

Lucius closed his eyes "therein lies the problem. Though she is a pureblood of respected family, my father will not accept it as their family is not much influential."

"Oh" I said in realisation, this was the problem which Lucius faced.

"Yes, apparently my father believes that I am having a simple adoration for her and he believes that it will not be a problem if he can marry off me to some other girl" he said with anger.

"Well if you like her so much, you can elope with her" I gave him the first suggestion which came to my mind.

"There's a problem Severus, she is not ready as it will damage her family reputation and I can't do that otherwise I would be hunted from everywhere by Abraxas" he said morosely, the fact that he wanted Malfoy wealth too was left unsaid.

I looked at his dejected face and spoke up "Abraxas still not giving you lordship anytime soon?" I asked him.

He nodded and I pondered over the options.

The answer was simple but must be done carefully.

"You know Lucius I was reading the Daily Prophet a day ago and there was a case of wizard dying with Dragonpox" I spoke slowly while keeping my gaze on him.

He looked at me sharply and I saw pain, hurt, anguish and hope mixed in there.

"He is my father Severus" Lucius reminded sadly.

"That is why the decision will be upto you to take" I said to him and took out the Daily Prophet and read it.

Lucius was having an internal battle. He would be lying if he hadn't considered the option earlier long ago but he always chickened out never having the courage to act on it.

No matter his best efforts he was a failure to Abraxas.

He remembered the day he was crucioed just because he was not made Head Boy by Dumbledore. But then again no Slytherin had been made the Head Boy after some boy named Tom Riddle in the years following him.

It was not that there were no eligible ones in Slytherin but Dumbledore never paid attention to any of them.

He remembered Evelyn, the girl he found in a bookshop while he was visiting France.

He remembered the time they had spend together whenever he visited France secretly or incase of some work.

He remembered her smiles which warmed his heart and took his breath away.

He finally came to his decision and spoke after the five minutes of silence.

"Hmm" was his response which Severus understood and gave a nod.

"Don't leave loose ends" Severus warned him.

He nodded and asked him "any ideas?"

"I do have some but you will have to be careful about it" Severus warned and Lucius knew to heed his word afterall if Severus told him to be careful about it then it would be difficult.

When they returned home after eating the lunch in Leaky Cauldron, Lucius was calm knowing that he would have to carry on his plan nicely if he wanted things to go well.

'Things we do for love' he thought as made his way to the kitchen holding a package which Severus had gotten from Knockturn Alley for him.

WITH SEVERUS

Meanwhile I was wondering about something which I recently remembered.

Dumbledore had explained that magic left traces which could be traced back if one was skilled enough.

I needed a spell which would help me mask my magic completely.

The Third Hallow was the finest example of this, it prevented from any type of magical detection to the user.

I personally thought that the Deathly Hallows were made by the Peverell brothers and not gifted to them by Death.

Afterall who could master Death, it was not possible for a mortal to master someone like Death.

He had met Lord Chaos and first hand knew how powerful he was.

Coming back into the matter he wondered about the spell applications.

The spell could help him mask his magic, scent, sound which would help him very much in secret works.

As for the invisibility he needed some time to inspect an invisibility cloak which could help him understand better about the charms and spells placed there which helped it achieve invisibility.

I could do it without inspecting a cloak but it will take more time and Time was something which I lacked at the moment.

The spell would be perfect for assassination I thought if I actually succeeded in making the spell.

My thoughts then went about another topic I was thinking and practising on.

'Wandless magic'

A very difficult and rare skill which needed extreme hard work and dedication.

Fortunately Severus being inspired by the Star Wars let the magic flow in his body and then used to try Wandless magic.

This trick was most easy one and I too preferred it.

The Rasengan was still going slow but the other stuff were going on nicely.

I was frustrated with the pace but it was better to master one by one each rather than jumbling them all.

The Rasengan was not going to be easy as it required pure intentional magic for its creation which would be extremely difficult as intentional magic was extremely hard.

Still I was not going to leave it as once completed it will be completely cool.

The fireball jutsus magical version was already near complete and my next project too.

I was going to see if I can use the super strength like Tsunade and I knew that it was definitely going to be hard.
