6 Chapter 6

The Next Day

Kazuki was stuck in the classroom, bored out of his mind, as it was just a regular teaching lesson you would get in any other school.

Present Mic was teaching grammar to the students while the said students were bored just as Kazuki.

The thing that made it more annoying was that Midoriya would sometimes mutter to himself nonstop.

Kazuki had enough so he turned his head toward Momo who was behind him.

"Wake me up when it's lunchtime."

Not waiting for her response, Kazuki laid his head on his desk and proceeded to get some shut-eye.

Momo was taken aback. She didn't think Kazuki would ask her of this.

When class ended, Kazuki felt a pen poking his back so he understood it was time for lunch.

Kazuki then stretched before turning back to Momo.

"Thanks, again..." Kazuki said with his usual tiredness.

"Are you okay, not paying attention in class?" Momo asked as she noticed Kazuki was a lazy person.

In truth, Kazuki wasn't lazy. He was just tired from training most of the time.

"I'll be fine," Kazuki said before leaving toward the cafeteria.

When Kazuki left, Momo was approached by a girl with earphone jacks hanging from her ears.

"Momo, why did you wake him up? You should've just left him asleep." She said while twirling one of her earphone jacks.

"I owe him for telling me about the expulsion that Mr. Aizawa would've conducted yesterday if we didn't give it our all," Momo said with a smile.

Momo was glad she could already gain a friend since it was only the second day of school. And that friend was named, Jiro Kyoka.

"Ahh, I would love to be woken up by a beautiful girl too." The one with yellow hair joined in on the conversation. His name was Kaminari Denki.

Jiro used her earphone jack and pointed it at Kaminari.

"Shut it!" She said angrily.

Momo giggled at their antics.

Back with Kazuki, he was already at the cafeteria with a bunch of food on the table. He was sitting alone, but he didn't care and quickly started devouring the food.

'Thank god it was so cheap.' Kazuki thought as he was munching away.

Kazuki may have not been as poor as before, but he still had that cheap mindset.

As he was enjoying his food, a couple of students from Class 1-A decided to sit next to him since his table had empty chairs.

Kazuki stopped eating and a tick mark appeared on his forehead.

'Why the hell are they sitting next to me...' Kazuki thought with annoyance.

The one that had chosen to sit next to him was the trio from yesterday.

"Sorry for joining your table without asking, but it was the only empty one we could find," Ochako smiled as she said without shame.

Kazuki was more annoyed while Midoriya was the only one to realize that he wasn't happy about this, so he tried to dissolve the situation before it escalated.

While waving his hands, Midoriya said, "G-Guys, I think we should let Akiyama enjoy his peace alone..."

Midoriya was very observant and that was a trait, Kazuki didn't dislike about him.

"What are you talking about Midoriya, Akiyama surely doesn't need all these seats to himself," Iida said while grabbing his chopsticks and starting to eat. Ochako did the same.

Midoriya was starting to panic more as he saw Kazuki even angrier. But, in the end, he still started eating since his friends weren't listening to him at all.

Kazuki took a breath and calmed himself. He went back to eating since he wanted to finish all this food before lunch was over.

As he was eating, Ochako and Iida would ask him many questions while Midoriya was trying to get them to stop in his own way, but it was a fruitless effort.

Kazuki replied vaguely to their questions as he didn't want to bother with him.

When lunch ended, the students went back to their class since it was time for the most exciting part of the day.

Hero Basic Training.

As the students had sat down, they heard a loud voice resounding from the hallway.

"I AM..."

Kazuki put his hands over his ears so he wouldn't have to hear this loud guy.

"...HERE! Coming through the door like a normal person!"

While the students were excited about being taught by the number one hero, Kazuki was thinking about something else.

'This is one of my main reasons as to why I didn't want to come to U.A High. This man has too many enemies, especially that All for One guy. I know he won't be able to take my quirk away, but that doesn't mean I'm invincible.'

Kazuki sighed, 'Well, at least I have future knowledge of what's to come so I'll be ready for anything that's bound to happen.'

Momo noticed that Kazuki wasn't typically excited as the rest of the students since he was sitting right in front of her.

"Akiyama, aren't you eager to see All Might in person?" Momo asked curiously since most of the students were excited, including her.

Kazuki placed his left upper arm on the table and rested his head on his hand.

"Not really."

Momo was a little surprised. She didn't say anything since everybody has the right to like and dislike whatever they want.

All Might pulled out a card that had one word written on it and showed it to the students.

"Combat!"

As soon as he was done explaining, the wall on the side started opening up and metal crate boxes became visible with each student's seat number written on them.

"Now everyone, get suited up and meet me in training ground beta!" All Might instructed.

"Yes, Sir!"

10 minutes later, most of the students were coming out of a tunnel toward the training grounds, each in their hero costumes.

Kazuki was one of the firsts to come out since he didn't require a long time. He then looked at his Hero costume and started to reconsider.

Kazuki was wearing a long blue-green overcoat that reached up to his feet that had a hood attached to it, black durable armor that was flexible and easy to move in, along with lightweight pants that focused on movement. He also had black braces that covered most f his forearms and a black neck gaiter that covered half his face, up to his eyes.

(AN: Image - It looks like this but without that thing on the left side of his chest.)

'I should've made my outfit more flashier since I want to get noticed more when I become a pro hero.' Kazuki thought with a little regret as he was looking at one of his classmates who was showing off his shining medieval-like costume.

'The more fame and notice I get, the more money I'll be reeking in. I shouldn't have copied an outfit style that I had seen in my past life...' Kazuki thought regretfully.

Kazuki then looked at his black forearm braces and couldn't help and smile a little. His braces had a secret compartment that hid a small blade that would activate with a precise movement of his wrists.

He didn't activate it since a hidden blade is supposed to stay hidden.

'It's a good thing I trained with small blades while I was practicing martial arts because it's not always good to rely on your fists and quirk. Thank goodness I'm versatile since it could catch my opponents off guard in the adversity of battles.'

Just as he finished inspecting his costume, Kazuki saw the rest of his classmates coming through the tunnel with their hero costumes.

Kazuki was then approached by the redhead and the electricity guy.

"No way, Akiyama! Your costume is so manly! Kirishima said with excitement.

"Damm, I wish I would've made my costume look as cool as yours..." Kaminari said with a deflated expression.

"But it doesn't look as good as yours truly, magnific," Aoyama said from the side while showing off his cape.

Kazuki didn't have his hood over his head so they were able to recognize him even if he was wearing a mask that covered most of his face.

Kazuki was a little confused. He didn't expect his classmates to be all chummy with him, especially on the second day.

He was about to say something until he became a little surprised when Momo came out with her costume.

Momo was wearing a red sports bra with white outlines on it, armor on her elbows, black shorts that reached up to her mid-thigh area, and red and white high boots that covered her legs and knees. She also had a red see-through visor that protected her eyes and a long black cape.

(AN: Image - It looks like this but with a black cape.)

'Wasn't she supposed to be wearing a different hero costume? Did something change?' Kazuki thought to himself.

(AN: How weird, huh...đŸ˜„)

Kaminari noticed Kazuki's reaction towards Momo's costume so he tried to tease him about it.

"So, you and Yaoyorozu, huh?"

Kazuki raised an eyebrow, "The fuck are you talking about?"

Kaminari sweatdropped and became slightly nervous for some reason. He felt like he was talking to a delinquent.

Due to Kazuki being part of a gang in his past life, he would give off a hoodlum vibe sometimes.

Kaminari wasn't able to respond as the last one to show up was Midoriya and All Might started to talk about today's class lesson.

When All Might finished explaining the urban battles the students would partake in, it was time to choose lots.

Kazuki picked his lot and turns out, he was paired up with Momo.

'So I basically just replaced that one short purple-haired guy from the anime series, huh...' Kazuki thought while walking towards Momo.

"Akiyama, since we're teammates, I think we should explain to each other about our quirks," Momo asked with a serious expression since she didn't want to fail this assignment.

Kazuki looked around and pointed somewhere away from the rest of his classmates.

"Alright, but we should go over there. We can't give any of our possibles opponents any information regarding our quirks."

Momo berated herself in her mind. She should've been able to think of that. She then nodded while clenching her fists.

Far enough away, Kazuki took out a piece of paper and pen from his bag pouch and wrote some details regarding his quirk.

Momo took the note with confusion until she became shocked at the context in the paper.

-Some classmates might have a quirk related to super hearing so we shouldn't talk either. My quirk allows me to manipulate the 4 main elements so I'll be focusing mainly on offense whether we're heroes or villains.-

Momo then looked at Kazuki with astonishment, 'He not only controls Fire and Air but Water and Earth as well...'

Momo regained her serious look since Kazuki trusted her with his quirk information so it would only be right if she did the same.

In truth, Kazuki didn't trust her. He only shared this information since he didn't care if it was publicly known. He still had many cards up his sleeves and that was something he would never share unless a moment presented itself or if there was no other way. Kazuki only trusted one person since his past life, and that was himself.

Momo wrote something on the note and gave it back to Kazuki.

-My quirk allows me to create any non-living object from my exposed skin as long as I know what it's made of.-

Kazuki already knew what her quirk does but he still nodded. He then burned the piece of paper with his Fire until it became cinders, and then used his wind to scatter it away.

Todoroki who was further away; noticed this scene. Ever since yesterday, he heard rumors about Kazuki being able to wield Fire. He wouldn't care since he only wanted to become the number one hero with his ice powers. But after watching that small orange flame from Kazuki, he somehow remembered his father. Anger and coldness could be seen in his eyes.

Shoji Mezo, a classmate with multiple arms approached Todoroki.

"Todoroki, the first battle is about to start. We should strategize for our upcoming fight."

Todoroki walked away while saying coldly, "No need for that."

Shoji was a little confused but still left with his classmates toward the surveillance room so they could observe the battle between teams A and D.

When the students made it to the surveillance room, Kazuki picked a wall toward the corner and decided to sit and lean towards it so he could rest.

Momo approached him, "Akiyama, do you not want to see to the battle between teams A and D?"

Kazuki shook his head, "There's no point. The winner is already obvious."

The rest of his classmates looked toward him.

"What do you mean by that, Akiyama-ribbit?" The frog girl asked.

Akiyama closed his eyes and rested his head toward the wall, "Just keep looking at the cameras and you'll soon find out."

His classmates did just that and paid extra attention to the match.

Kazuki only said that because he had already seen the scene behind a screen, but they don't need to know that.

All Might had a clipboard while smiling like his usual safe as he was grading this match. But despite that, he still felt a little worried for Midoriya. He knew his successor and Bakugo weren't on good terms but all he could do was believe in Midoriya.

Unknowingly to him, the grip became tighter as he was holding the clipboard. This was one of the many obstacles Midoriya would have to face if he wanted to become a hero that would save everyone with a smile.

As the students were watching the match, they understood why Kazuki was saying the winner was obvious.

Bakugo kept acting recklessly for the sake of his own benefit than fighting for the objective of this trial.

Momo looked at Kazuki and was puzzled, 'Did he know this would happen?'

If only she knew his logic was full of bullshit and that he possessed future knowledge.

After about 30 minutes, many battles had taken place and Kazuki's was up next.

Kazuki stood up from his spot and started stretching a bit. He may have not watched any of the battles that had taken place, but they were of less importance to him.

Momo approached him once again, "Are you ready?"

She wanted to make sure her teammate was in full drive.

Still stretching, Kazuki responded.

"Are you?"

Momo showed a serious face and nodded.

Done with his stretches, Kazuki started walking out of the room.

"Then let's go."

Momo quickly followed up behind him.

As they were exiting the room, everyone's eyes were on them. Jiro and most of the girls were wishing Momo good luck while Kirishima and Kaminari did the same for Kazuki.

Not like he needed it though.

Todoroki even looked at him as he wanted to see his abilities as well. Especially the fire he was starting to hate, unknowingly to him. His battle may have been short due to his ice but he didn't know why, but he wanted to see what was stronger. His ice or Kazuki's Fire?

Bakugo was slouched as he felt disheartened. His pride had taken a big blow after losing his match and after witnessing how strong Todoroki was.

Too bad. It looks like that pride was going to start shattering even more after witnessing Kazuki's display of strength.
