Nom Nom

I chewed the gross-looking food before me. It was some kind of fish with purple skin and white sclera. Still, I didn't hesitate and ate the tender flesh within.

Human adaptability was terrifying indeed...even if I am currently not one.

At first, I was quite worried that the food was inedible. After all, it was food literally made in Hell's kitchen. But thankfully, though it looked bad, it tasted quite good. I could see how the future blueberry shota could eat loads of it.

But that was not the main problem right now...I had no clothes to wear for my debut.

I bought some daily necessities such as a change of underwear and some basic clothes, nothing fancy. But I don't think showing up to perform in a hoodie for my debut would be a wise decision.

Just as I was thinking about it, I felt a tap on my shoulder.

It was Gyari.

"I heard that your debut is next week in Makubari Dome?" Gyari said as she set her hell-bone curry on the table. There were large chunks of bone in it.

"Yeah. One of the performing Evidol went to her evil cycle so I got lucky," I explained as I poked the eyes of the fish with chopsticks and ate it. It was crunchy...

"I also want to perform so badly. I will dazzle them with my Rock," Gyari said with her signature smile.

"I am sure your turn will also come quickly. After all, your training is almost complete," I said between my bites.

"Ya. After all, I am Gyari the star." With a smirk, Gyari wolfed down her curry.

"Umm...Gyari?" I said with a bit of hesitation.

"Hmm?" Gyari stopped mid-bite as her mouth seemed to bulge like a chipmunk. Cute...

"I want to go shopping to buy some clothes. Can you come with me?" I said, staring into Gyari's eyes.

"Sure. Let's go now." Hearing the word shopping, Gyari's tail curled up as she quickly ate her food and comically choked.

I quickly gave her a glass of water and said in an unhurried tone, "Okay. But eat slowly."

The answer I received was a sloppy grin.

...

Walking inside the woman's clothing shop, I felt something drying inside.

I had no idea what to wear.

Meanwhile, Gyari seemed to be in her element, browsing through the racks of clothes with ease and confidence.

Seeing me bewildered, Gyari asked in a sage tone.

"Want some advice?"

"Yes." I gave up finding clothes myself. Let's trust Gyari in this one what could go wrong?

...

While waiting for Gyari, I took out the feather I had carried with me and willed my magic with precise control before whispering the incantation.

[Fractal]

The feather on my hand floated a bit before falling back down.

Usually, I trained my magic in my free time. The magic I was using was a basic spell that lowered the weight of an object and in some cases made it float. Unlike my bloodline magic, it was a type of verbal magic.

In the last two weeks, I had managed to learn some basic magic spells such as Fractal, Relax, Clean, and so on. However, most of them were support-type magic.

The magic in this world had similarities with the magic shown in Harry Potter. You needed to visualize the magic and say the chant, and the magic would be implemented.

Learning magic had become one of the few joys in my current life. Once again, I used Fractal, feeling a small amount of magic draining my body.

Soon, I heard hurried footsteps near me. It was Gyari with a set of clothes in her hand.

"Practicing magic even now, huh? Truly diligent. So, this is the first set. Try them on." First set, there is more?

"The changing room is here. Come, I'm sure these clothes will look great on you." I followed Gyari as she showed me a changing room with a curtain in front of it.

I stepped inside the white room, which had a single bench, a large mirror, and a clothes hanger. I saw Gyari smiling confidently as I closed the black curtain.

Now, let's see what she has found.

...

After a while, I stepped out seeing Gyari's smile turn into a proud grin.

"Stunning." Gyari whistled a bit as I turned to face the mirror.

I saw a beautiful girl with black long hair and jet-black eyes. The black cold sweatshirt I was wearing exposed parts of my shoulder.

Gyari had picked me a pair of black hot pants. With black socks that covered my entire legs and black shoes. Black looked good on me as it contrasted with my almost pale skin.

I was a bit embarrassed to wear it but as the ancients have said...Improvise, Adapt and Overcome.

"Not bad," I said as I scratched my surprisingly smooth chin.

"Yeah. Next is this." Gyari suddenly pulled another bundle of clothes from somewhere. "Wai..." I yelped as Gyari pushed me back inside the changing room while pulling the curtain to hide me.

...

..

.

Did I make a mistake somewhere? This won't take too long...I hope?
