Boss Fan finally moved down the staircase he had dreaded in the past two days. Feeling like nothing can stop him from taking over this city as his own in a few days. All those who live here are the people who had come for work there is no nearby apartments.

This place is out of the way which is why he wants to build a base of operations for himself and rule this plot of land. He will have all the hotel supplies for himself once he took over. A hotel must have alot of food in storage.

As he had booked a room at 18th floor to look down on everything, he now has to walk all the way down. He is a small time thug but he has ambition which is why he never take a step without assurance.

Going downstairs he is in a good mood. This time he had brought most his men who are close brothers and a few others to celebrate so he has manpower and some weapons.

They have scavenged some food from the other rooms as well so they are sorted for now, but he has always tried not to be complacent.

Zhong Fan got to the 13th floor and looked around. The place is clean except for a large blood stain in the far corner.  There is also a bunch of clothes there. It seems some people died and got eaten by the zombies not long ago.

He only took 5 of his armed men with him and left others to look after the supplies up stairs. He opened the door and found the room clean and tidy. Brother Fei came looking for him.

"There is someone living in the suite next to those bloody clothes. I seem to smell something cooking from there." He said with anticipation.

Boss Fan frowned. He doesn't want to find out these people left someone here. That would be troublesome. They walked to the room and really heard movements from inside. Boss Fan knocked on the door and waited.

Chu Fei has long been unsatisfied with his boss. The man is too careful, even during times like these he thinks tens times before taking a step. Luckily Chu Fei is not the only one dissatisfied with him and soon they will make a move on him and help Fei take the throne.

The door opened and Amy looked at the group of thugs in front of her. Their eyes are very excited to see such a beautiful and clean face. The brothers stared drooling just watching her.

"May I help you?" She asked with a non threatening tone.

Boss Fan is about to speak when the square faced brother Fei got in her face with a menencing glare. He pushed her inside. She let him do it to see what is their plan. "Who else is here with you little girl?" Fei asked looking at her up and down with undisguised lust.

"I live on my own. What can I do for you gentlemen?" She asked looking at all of them without any fear. This made the unrestrained Fei jump up in anger.

"You are all alone in such a big place? This big brother is going to move in here and protect you. Hurry up and thank me." The thug said with a tone that shows he will not take no for an answer. She is just a girl what can she do? He will enjoy her thoroughly at that time.

The girl just chuckled. "No thank you." She is laughing at him. The others are watching this exchange without interfering.

"That wasn't a request. This place belongs to me and you also belong to me from now on. If you serve me right, I might not share you with my brothers." He said walking towards her reaching out to touch her lips.

This line is used to scare many women into submission. What girl doesn't feel scared to hear she will be tossed around by a group of men? Who knew that the girl look him with a raised eyebrow and raised a simple question.

"In that case, can I start serving you now?" She tilted her head to the side innocently. Hearing her question, brother Fei thought she is giving in. He became unrestrained wanting to show Fan and his followers how things will go when he is in charge.

He nodded like a chicken pecking rice. As soon as he did. The girl smiled brightly and wrapped her hand in spirit qi making it hard and her nails sharp. She could punch through a wall with it like this.

She plunged her hand while making a clawing gesture into his Chest and she ruthless pulled out his beating heart. Blood splattered on her face, she blinked lightly and the man fell to the ground still with a foolish look on his eyes.

She is about to dispose of his body when the vines got out and drilled into his head removing a space type crystal nuclei putting it in her hand.

She looked at the object, it is similar to what she has but smaller and with less color. She can feel the familiar space power calling for her. Amy chose not to do anything in front of these people.

The other people pulled out their guns and pointed at her. She didn't mind this and took out a cloth from space wiping her bloodied hand. She looked at the men who seem afraid of her even with guns on their hands. She smiled, wondering if a smile will help ease their fear.

However, it seems like the smile made it like she is a pretty demon little girl. Helpless, she dropped the smile and asked "As I was saying, how can I help you?"

The moment she spoke, the people began sweating. What have they been doing all this time? Have they not seen the bloody scenes outside? Can this little bit of blood really render them speechless?

One man cleared his throat and took a step forward. "Good evening, we came to check if the person living here would like to join our group. We have supplies if you have supernatural powers the pay is even better." Boss Fan said quickly before the little witch get angered by the silence.

"Oh? Are you planning on staying here even after the army had come to recruit people?" She asked, stunning the gangsters.

"What do you mean?" Fan asked puzzled.

"The base is already on the way to 'rescue' civilians but really it is to recruit builders to construct a wall. It was on the radio in the morning." She said and all of them understood.

"I am going to build a base of my own."

The girl laughed. "With what army? Zombies are not just the living. Even the ones who will die from natural causes will come back as zombies. Can you go against all these numbers with your group of people?"

"Wait! All the dead will come back? How do you know?" She pointed at the man without a heart on the ground. He is twitching as if coming back to life. She laughed seeing their expressions.

"It happened once already and I was not ready for it. It surprised me at the time." She shook her head. Of course this is blatant lies because she knew this information from the revenge novel she had read that year.

"Every starving person in their homes right now, feeling scared to go out and fight zombies will die and turn. The numbers will more than triple by the end of the week." She said lightly and the hands holding guns lost the strength.

The men sat on the ground listlessly. Even the death of their friend did not make them this hopeless. Fan looked at the nonchalant girl and realized she is luring them in. She wants something.

"You have a point?" He asked annoyed.

"Yes. Join me and become my henchmen." The words fell and the people in the room kept silent.

"Of course, I am not just demanding and not giving. I will give you something that you all long for." She smiled that innocent smile of hers.

"What would that be?" Boss Fan asked suspiciously. He is sure she is going to say protection which is what he was offering her a moment ago.

"Strength. I have a way to increase your strength even those without supernatural ability." She said stunning the people.

"You can do that? How?" Boss Fan stood up. With a thunder type ability, He always feel like it will take too long to improve this power.

"Not before we sign an agreement. You will work for me and I will increase your strength." She said shaking her head at his demanding tone.

The room became silent. The men on the ground looked at each other but didn't get to say anything as a deep roar sounded from their companion who had died before.

Eyes white, mouth dropping disgusting sticky looking saliva and the skin rotting at a pa e visible to the eyes. The stench filled the room at an astonishing pace.

He roared and jumped to the closest person but his head got pierced by a smooth looking green vine taking out a white small crystal nuclei. "Two for two." Amy rubbed the coquettish vine in her hand as it drops the crystal nuclei in her hand.

His body is dragged outside through the window and thrown out directly. The girl didn't even move from her position but the body is gone and the crystal nuclei is dug out. This scene, of her standing there surrounded by a long whip like vine created a strange scene as if she is a plant fairy.

"We will talk to the others and make a decision." Boss Fan is not a fan of this plan. He wanted to be the boss and not work for someone else even during this time. This reminds him of the rich people sneering and offering crums while they swallow the entire bread even as he broke his back to get it for them.

They left and went back with one member short. When they got there, the others saw that Fei is not with them.

"Boss Fan didn't just go out to get rid of brother Fei right?" One of the people who were loyal to the dead Fei asked with anxious expression. He has a lot riding on the plan to dethrone Boss Fan.

"Meeting." Boss Fan wanted to fix the cracks created by that square faced Fei Fei. He is long aware of his men and their little plans.

He had just wanted to use Fei to clean house and bring in fresh blood. But who knew, that idiot will try to show off his power in front of a master?

At the same time.

Amy got ready to head out. She had drawn  concealment talisman. It will cover any sound she makes when outside but the talisman will stop working if she attacked someone on her own initiative. Or when the opponent is too powerful compared to her.

She made three more types with her own blood. A type of barrier although it is very weak. It should be enough to warn her if she is being sneak attacked. She put on a hard pair of leggings with a leather out exterior. Closed sports shoes and a leather jacket with a tight zipper. She put the three talisman in her sport bra and went out.

The floor she was on had been cleared out of zombies. She took the elevator because it still working. She soon got to the ground floor without any incidence. When the doors open, she is confronted with a sight of many zombies walking around in the ground floor. The stench of rotten flesh is strong. But she pushed through. When the zombies didn't see or smell any delicious meat form the elevator they dispesed and went about their own things.

She stepped out of the lift taking note the food steps are muted as well. She was not sure because she had used her own blood which is not that powerful at this point in time.

Amy walked towards the kitchen. She will not let others benefit in her own territory. Besides, the electricity is still running but that won't last for too long. She soon found the storage room with drinks. This place is a multiple star hotel so the variety of expensive wines is around 4 hundred liters.

She didn't even leave one case of beer. This storage is not the cold storage so the amount is alot but it is not cold. She collected around 700 liters in total. The hotel is a large hotel with 20 floors and many rooms that can accommodate hundreds of visitors. The place is stocked with a lot of food.

She went to the food storage knowing they won't have much since there must be fresh ingredients for customers.

In the fruits and vegetables walk in fridge, she found a lot of food but decided not to take this. She now has a large planting space, she is not lacking of fresh vegetables but when the power cut, she will be the first to come here. Wasting food is a sin.

She found the frozen meat. Many imported types of delicacies surrounded her. Looking at the raws of rice, flour and other Starch items she decided to be rude. She put everything into her space. Where will there be a flour mill in this end of times? She is no the virgin Mary.

She emptied all three storages and finally went in to the last storage. It seems to be larger than the ones she had been to before.

She has a stunned face after entering. Furniture. That is what she can see, raws of further and the cleaning materials. Infact, even carpet, bedding, curtains and pots are all neatly arranged. Laughing lightly. She swept the place clean. Took out recovery pill, she went out of the hotel without even glancing at the kitchen.

It is because that's the first place the other survivors will go to. On her way down, she saw no less than a few hundred zombies. Assuming they will only increase as time goes on, she is anticipating a lot of crystal nuclei. This is an important resource in the end times.

The C base will research ways to replace the normal energy with crystal nuclei and then the hording of the zombie crystal nuclei will begin. Of course all bases will start by sending missions to the survivors and use  crystal nuclei for exchange with materials and food.

Amy doesn't need to pack as her car is inside her space. There are three swimming pools, gaming den and four drinking bars and clubs. There is a large golfing land scape with various lakes and small forests here and there.

The hotel owner had only wanted to make a hotel, all these other things came with his business partners.

At the moment the number of zombies around the area is not large partially because this is far from the residential and commercial area.

Amy didn't go to the road leading to the city but drove towards the schools and factory areas. This area comes before the residential area where the factory working people live.

This is not very close so it will take her two days to go and come back. She is aware this is the real target of the B base army that will come in two weeks to loot the factory warehouses. There are many factories in this area. Many items are made here but Amy is going even further than the factories. She is going to the whole sale shops in the rural centre. It is called a rural centre but it is actually very Morden.

The reason it is called as such is because there are mountains nearby where many small and large villages can be found. This is where the male lead is currently located. No the male lead is not a rural bumpkin but he had been traveling with his company executives to inspect an investment property in the rural area.

No, Amy is not going to bump heads with the male lead. Those are exclusively reserved for the female protagonist. Unlike most cold and silent male leads, this one is very lively and fun to read about.

Mixing his outgoing personality with that of the quiet and gloom of the female partner. The text was funny and sad but eventually the powerful dual ability male lead conquered the stone cold heart of the ruthless revenge spirited female protagonist.

Amy enjoyed the freshness of the plot. The man is not bloody and ruthless. He kills people but he is not as cold blooded as other male leads in the revenge genre.

The novels make the Male lead more ruthless than our female protagonists and she ends up depending on him to punish evil on her behalf. By the end of the novel we are confused if the book was female oriented or Male oriented.

The female lead in this novel is a little too gloomy so the male lead learns to make ice cream with her favourite toping just to bring a smile on her face.

He tells her whenever he feels like she looks beautiful, he gives her surprise roses, makes exaggerated romantic grand gestures that melt her heart. She reluctantly agrees to marry him in the end and they have three beautiful babies.

The female lead is no longer pure like most protagonists and had already met and slept with other men before the male lead finally ties her down. She had been a very good girl in her previous life and in the end her fiance cheated with her friend and lusted after her half sister.

He even killed her in hopes of gaining her sisters approval. She wants to know what it's like to have a man inside of her and change positions in bed. Who can blame her? The man she had been keeping herself pure for is banging her best friend.

She has resources now and can afford anything she wants so why stay thirsty in a world full of water? She even has sex in front of her cheating fiance in this life.

Amy smacked her lips thinking of the hot scene she read in the novel. She wants to see it herself. Unfortunately going to the female lead without a strong power will only bring her that closer to death.

Amy drove until night but the road is clear since she left the city behind. She is worried about approaching the suburbs at this time. What if she is stopped on the road?

The male lead had a lot of trouble avoiding the people in the villa area here. The female lead will come this way in order to harvest the plant that only grows in this region. It is very useful for growing mental strength.

The sky darkened while she drove. The roaring of zombies became more frequent as the night gained more darkness.

She pressed the accelerator. The lights are off. Soon she could see a line of a high wall on the left side of the main road but she didn't stop.

Luckily the residents don't seem to have the guts of steal they will have later on. No one stopped her on the way. There is a small shopping centre near the villa area and three prestigious schools.

The schools seems to be in use as temporary bases, or is it permanent? Amy will sleep in one of them before waking up to go on her way.
