Amelia didn't even put the armies in her eyes and went to sleep. Why would she panic when she has raised and fed thousands of supernatural power users for over a year? It is about time these kids got some blood in their hands.

"Prophet, good morning." A shy woman stood a distance from him and greeted him respectfully. She is full of awe and reverence for this young man who can bring peace on earth.

This young man had opened a base 2 years before the apocalypse and called it the devine church. Many survivors are believers and will receive devine power once a month. When people join up and agree to serve him as the prophet they will receive the blessing as well.

"Yes, the several bases have gathered in the lin Pavilion North of the Jiangkang base to discuss their plan of attack. It seems they really have interest in the Jiangkang base and want to occupy it. Winter doesn't seem to be coming to an end soon so occupying a strong hold like that hospital must be tempting." The girl said. In her heart, she is disdainful of the joint army because instead of improving their own homes they covet what others have. But that is because the base she lives in is basically a castle.

The young man sat on the chair in his study and smiled. He is the one who is incharge of the Northern province. The B base and the previous three bases in the lower part of the North are only a few of the bases in the North. In particular, there is a series of large bases the further one goes inside the land of the North but unlike one would expect, the people in these place are living relatively well. 

It is all thanks to this pale young man. He has a deep secret that he hasn't told anyone. He has memories from his last life. In the last life he was experimented on and lived in agony for years until the doctors in the central base had taken everything from that could be harvested from his body.

To his astonishment he was actually sent back in time when his ghost form came in contact with a mysterious object. His power has been improved in this life than when he was in the lab. 

When he was an ordinary survivor in the last life he was once bitten by a zombie dog when he went out to look for supplies and his team mates ran away leaving him to die. At that time he fainted from fear and woke up in the company of the zombie dog who had bitten him. 

He was wary at first and hid from the dog but the dog didn't look for him. When more zombie dogs came to eat him, the first dog saved him and fought the zombie dogs as if it had the strength of 100 zombie dogs. It Slaughtered the enemy as if cutting through paper. 

Qing Xuan had watched at the time in a safe distance as the dog fought like a demon from hell. He then fled from the scene at the time after the dog got exhausted and fell unconscious. 

When he came to the base his family sold him to the lab saying he had survived a lethal bite from the zombie and that his body may contain antibodies that can save the world.

Qing Xuan had always been workinh hard to gain the approval of his family but when they found out he doesn't have powers they despised him even more than before. No matter what he did no one cared and they would always treat him like a servant.

His mother and father divorced when he was young. She left for the states and his father remarried a few months later. Both his parents were from powerful backgrounds, he was given monetary support but he was never privilege to get his father's affection.

When his father remarried he still didn't have any affection for the new pair of twins. He has always been a powerful man who focuses on his career, no matter how much him and his siblings tried they couldn't get a smile or a nod of approval out of him.

The situation was even worse for him who didn't have a mother. His siblings always used this fact to poke at him wounds. As the result, Qing Xuan wanted to know what its like to be dotted on by a mother and shifted his pursuit for parental love from his father to his step mother.

That was the beginning of his tragedy and when he went back 3 years before the start of the apocalypse, he was indifferent to both of his so called parents.

He used his father's money and influence to buy three resorts and renovated them in the way that is similar to a fortress. He bought three unused large pieces of land and began construction. These bases have been hidden from the public. As one of the world top hackers he was able to conceal and large purchases and used aliases to hide his Identity until three months before the apocalypse.

When he was in the lab he learnt a lot about his power. He doesn't have strength or something like that, he just has superior blood. When the zombie dog bit him it became his servant and his most loyal soldier.

His blood can also give others strength and immense power for a short time, but it will also make it impossible for them to go against his order. But after he was reborn, his power may as well be permanent. So he has been able to steadily increase his army this way.

After the bases were completed he receuited a large number of mercenaries from all over the chaotic world and had them hide and train in the basement of the Castles. The structure of his kingdom has many lower ground floors. The number is enough to hide tens of thousands of soldiers and supplies from the wfor two years.

He had chosen the North because it was the first to be abandoned by the so called authorities of the country at the start of the apocalypse. His bases are as far away from the South as possible to avoid early discovery. As a hacker,he established a network with a few satellites to be able to communicate with his people who are sent all over the country and even the world to gather information for him.

He is truthfully the most powerful of all the bases in the country in terms of army power and resources. There is one set back and that is the deterioration in his vitality. In the last life he had thought it was because the lab was experimenting on him non stop that he died but even now he is dying. He can feel it. Even after working so hard to live a good life this time he is still at the mercy of a cruel fate.

Having been to the future he knows all the medicine created by the renowned scientist and they were all used on him to try and preserve his life but they had all failed. This is why he didn't have hope until one of his spies in the B base reported about a devine doctor with medine that can regrow limbs.

There was no such medicine in his last life. His hope got even stronger when he saw the recording of Amelia playing a zither to heal and control soldiers. The fact that there's someone who can control people like him out there gave him joy. Especially after seeing her otherworldly beauty. Perhaps she is to be his wife. The two of them will rule the world when he is healed.

This is why he is keeping an eye on the base that she belongs to and his surprise was immense when he saw how prosperous the place is. One of his people were taken along with the refugees whose families died during the war and she has been sending him information and recorded videos of the Jiangkang base.

He was surprised he didn't know about her in the last life and even those scientists didn't say anything about her while they drill things into his body. A base with such high walls and a unique city like this should have been sensational back then.

Especially after achieving all this with in one year, this made Qing Xuan conclude that she might be like him. A reborn soul. This thought made him very excited. His father is the most powerful man in the central base and had brought his wife and children to prosperity even in the last life but he was treated as a disappointment. ¹

His father had continued to ignore him like usual but he had began showing some interest in his other children since they had both awakened powerful supernatural powers contributing to his prestige greatly.

While he was the same loser he had always been in his father's eyes. So in the end his step mother got rid of him and it is unknown whether his father shed a single tear.

Seeing that there is a person similar to him in this world who came back to life and can also control people, he wanted to meet her and get to know this person. "I'm not bored." He said sternly.

The several bases leaders felt strange after having their supper. They each soon found out that their powers are inaccessible. Without wasting time they got together and decided to leave the base after fininding out where their respective armies are congregated.

Inside the base there is a subtle change in atmosphere. Although people are going to work the next day as usual but they are all apprehensive. Someone leaked the news about other bases demanding their food and medicine.

The rumour started light but by lunchtime they had already turned ridiculous. Some say that those leaders are demanding marriage from their leader. Others said the other bases wanted to come in and eat the survivors because they are fat and tender since they have been living a good life inside.

The most ridiculous one is that they are asking the base leader to spend a ningt with each of them and give up her control of the base otherwise they will kill everyone inside.

The survivors are conflicted, non of them want to die but their leader has been very good to them. They have a large wall protecting them, water and electricity, not to mention the food they eat is sumptuous and way better than what the survivors from other places eat.

They have met the rescued people who came to the Jiangkang base later and listened to their experiences. Their lives in comparison is like heaven and hell. Some even had to sell their children to get a bite to eat. Some were sold, some were abandoned while others were abused.

Hearing the anarchy outside made the survivors inside tremble with fear. When they heard how the several base leaders are treating the survivors inside their bases made their hearts turn cold. Now these people want to turn their home into purgatory just like their own bases.

Everyone is very scared that their home will be taken over by tyrants and they will live a bad life so they wish the leader would win and chase these people away from here.

The next day soldiers of the Jiangkang base were assembled and given instructions to prepare. Each of the nine kings will lead a few thousands of supernatural powers.

Because this is a serious battle, they were given their light armor uniforms and the guns. The tnew wall around the nine districts has several machine guns on top of it aiming at the outside.

The outer city survivors were led inside the inner base in an orderly manner and given temporary accommodations in order to vacate the outside city of normal people.

The joint army finally appeared and the numbers are a lot. Maybe close to a hundred thousand soldiers. Each carrying a gun and ready to attack. They came from different directions and surrounded half the Jiangkang base.

The Jiangkang base is several times larger than the central base when one counts the outer districts. The army is not able to cover it completely and just surrounded almost half of it. The problem is that there are only about 30 000 soldiers in the Jiangkang base who are well trained and ready for battle.

The actual number is 70 to 80 thousand. But these include the rew recruits and the soldiers without experience and those without supernatural abilities. The ni e kings are not anxious because of this. The experienced soldiers are very powerful and their abilities can be used against opponents at a long distance still packing serious damage power.

This is because of their unique disposition. The cleansing potions alone expands their channels allowing their bodies to handle high level attacks even when they are not too powerf. Not to mention their level is averaged at level 7 this is not something every base can achieve.

After finishing the construction of the districts it took them time to rescue people and then recruit them into their armies. But the resources left in the hands of Amelia's secretaries was very useful although it was expensive.

Several weeks later they were able to whip the previously malnourished and weak new recruits into passable soldiers. The outer city is still somewhat empty since it is so big. They were planning to continue recruiting when the winter subsides but this happened.

The soldiers under each district wore their light armor uniform and the sight became dazzling. On the street and on top of the wall are several colors of each uniform. Their orderly manner of conduct and the weapons they hold are all very impressive.

That is not all, the broadcasting station of the base sent out several small robots to record the scenes of the battle outside. People are able to see it even as they are inside their homes.

Amelia watched as the enemy troupes approached and stayed a distance away. They even have several tanks that can destroy the outer city wall in a few attempts. This is going to be harder than they initially thought.

However, the soldiers of the Jiangkang base may not have army tanks but they do have concentrated light beams that can penetrate through Iron as if it is butter. The important thing is that they are not heavy to carry so when the heavy tanks outside took positions, the concentrated light beams were also set to face them.

Amelia watched in the comfort of her own home as the many soldiers took positions and aimed their guns at her base. The most important advantage that Amelia's army has over the enemy is their freakishly high level of supernatural powers. She wants to know if they will make use of this or not.

Their bodies have been optimized and improved to an unprecedented level so the distance may be far but their own snipers will be able to hit their targets with accuracy akin to those professional snipers.

A minute passed with both parties assessing each other. Then, at the same time all the light beams shot concentrated beams towards the large tanks and melted the system inside.

The tanks became scraps after this. Knowing the wall will not be destroyed by the tanks anymore, the soldiers of Jiangkang base aimed the normal automatic weapons towards the enemy troupes.

The two sides started shooting at each other. The scene is very noisy with bullets flying around but the ones to take damage are the joint forces because they are in the open.

The joint army has spent a lot of ammunition not long ago fighting the Qin family. Amelia is thinking the had put too much faith on the heavy tanks.

The joint army became flustered when they realized the tanks they had wanted to use so they can bomb the wall are all useless now. They had to rely on the fact that there is only a few soldiers in the Jiangkang base.

"Don't panic, as you can see the Jiangkang base is a small base regardless of it's size. Their soldiers are less than a third of us even if you miss a few times they are bound to die today thanks to their small numbers unless a miracle happened." A constable said full of confidence making the soldiers believe every word he said.

In truth, they can only kill them only if it lands on the face because every soldier on the wall is wearing armor that can not be penetrated by usual bullets.

The people inside saw this scene and couldn't believe something so violent is taking place right outside their doorstep. Some cried and closed their eyes seeing many people hit by bullets and sent flying.

The enemy troupes have built a temporary wall using super powers so they can hide and shoot. When they have taken sufficient damage, the Jiangkang soldiers with water abilities started melting the ice.

This movement caused the people watching to be stunned. Everyone knows the water supernatural powers are not very threatening on the battlefield. However, the water ability users from the Jiangkang base are different.

They melted the snow and a large wave of water rose from the ground and all this water is then spalshed on the joint army soldiers outside. Once they are all wet and freezing from the cold, the stage is given to the thunder supernatural powers.

They stood where the water users were standing a while ago and sent out thunder lightning to the enemy. Drenched from the water attack a while ago and now they are electricuted, the enemy soldiers are in a very miserable state now.

The wall they had built was not high enough to hide them from the soldiers standing on the outer city wall. But had these Jiangkang soldiers been normal humans, they wouldn't have been able to shoot accurately at such a long distance.

Most of the high ranking Jiangkang solders have taken the golden fruit that enhances all functions of the body. Even their power shouldn't be sent out to such a far distance and still be powerful enough to roast many of the enemies alive.

Miserable screams sounded from behind the temporary wall where the joint army soldiers are hiding. The ones who were not splashed with water did not die but suffered from 3rd degree burns but the wet soldiers were directly roasted on the spot.

The joint army decided to retreat but who knew that as soon as someone ran a massive black space wormhole would appear and teleport them right outside the inner city cage where tens of soldiers are waiting to bury them with supernatural powers?

The nine kings have already planned on killing everyone who came here to attack them. Remembering the base leaders disappointed expression when they allowed someone to plot against the base and escape with their lives intact, they all decided to set an example of whomever came to bother them again.

The davastating scene of death and gore made everyone shut their tv screens. They understood the other party is wrong but this is too terrible.

The army had a little over half their original numbers and insteat of resistance, they want to leave this place. The lightning supernatural power users are then replaced by space type who released several space blades and limbs went flying. The scene is very bloody.

The order has completely collapsed in the enemy troupes and it is every man for himself. Many clever soldiers pulled other nearby comrades and used them as shields. This scene is captured in the video.

In the future, many of the survivors from this battle will be exposed and lose alot of prestige.

Just as they are hiding and their psyche is in a mess, zombies came from far away because of the strong smell of blood.

Now they are surrounded on both sides and have no way to retreat. When the space powers got tired earth power users joined the fray. This is when all hope is lost for the joint army.

The first action is to destroy the wall they had been using as shelter. They got exposed and guns started firing from both sides and it became a blood bath. Not many people were shot from the Jiangkang but some were shot and died while most got seriously injured and were tended to by the light ability users.

On the otherside they had few healers and they are a long distance from the battlefield. An hour since the earth power users took charge and the soldiers started firing at each other, the enemy troupes had no choice but to flee.

Only a little over a quarter survived and made it to the tents. This expedition was a complete failure and they have incurred huge losses here today. They hadn't brought many of their men because they had thought as long as they destroyed the wall, the nurses and doctors who are the original survivors of Jiangkang base would surrender.

The actual number of people who made it out of this monumental disaster is less than those who made it to the temporary accommodations because they had been splashed with water the moment they went up, the fever quickly claimed many lives before sun down.

The bosses watched this scene in horror and realized this is not even a battle for the Jiangkang base. They had just come over to hand over their lives. The methods are unapologetically ruthless to the point of making people speechless.
