Chapter 28

Cho Shiye looked at Kim Hae-yoon quizzically, she noticed that Kim Hae-yoon seemed agitated and anxious, she stood up awkwardly as she dusted herself off.

"What's wrong?" Cho Shiye asked as Kim Hae-yoon laughed and shook her head.

"It's nothing." Kim Hae-yoon replied calmly as she sat on the bed. "That aside, what are you here?" She asked as she looked at Cho Shiye.

'She's really suspicious…' Cho Shiye thought as she noticed that Kim Hae-yoon was looking at her, despite the calm and collected appearance, her eyes seemed to shake and her ears were red.

"I forgot to take something." Cho Shiye replied as she walked towards her side of the bed that made Kim Hae-yoon flinch when she saw Cho Shiye walking towards her direction.

Cho Shiye pulled out a device, looking like a small container box painted in green and adorned with cutesy stickers of ducks. Kim Hae-yoon noticed and smiled.

"That looks so cute." Kim Hae-yoon commented as Cho Shiye nodded with a soft smile. "Do you like ducks?" She asked.

"Yes, I wanted to get one when I was a child but my father wouldn't allow it." Cho Shiye replied as she sat beside Kim Hae-yoon and let her touch the container. "So, I can only admire them from afar." She replied as she took out a sticker and put it at the back of Kim Hae-yoon's palm as she smiled warmly.

Cho Shiye often did this to Kang In-eun back when they used to be roommates and tried with Kim Yun-hee but she was rejected by her as it's childish and a weird thing to do.

Kim Hae-yoon's hands are slender and bigger than hers, her hand looks soft but if you look closely, you can see healed scars that seemed quite painful. Cho Shiye brushed her palm against it as Kim Hae-yoon smiled at her.

"I got that when I was running around and fell off a shard of glass." Kim Hae-yoon explained as Cho Shiye looked at her, shocked and worried. "It was a long time ago so it wasn't so painful." She added to reassure Cho Shiye.

"I see.* Cho Shiye replied, she didn't know what to say other than that. She felt that Kim Hae-yoon's scars were far deeper than what Kim Hae-yoon is making it to be but she didn't dare to probe.

Sensing the silence, Kim Hae-yoon rubbed Cho Shiye's head with a soft laugh.

"Don't think too much about it." Kim Hae-yoon spoke. "Anyways, are you free this Sunday?" She asked as Cho Shiye nodded. She doesn't have much to do aside from watching her series that day anyways.

"Why?" Cho Shiye asked.

"Well, do you know Cha Seo-yoon?" Kim Hae-yoon asked as Cho Shiye's eyes widened in shock.

Cha Seo-yoon is Cho Shiye's idol. She had admired that woman for a long time ever since she saw her perform on stage at the age of 12.

Cha Seo-yoon's music is so soulful and warm that it captivates Cho Shiye's heart unlike the previous performance, that's more like a mechanical perfection played by a robot, of musicians in this day and age.

Seeing that Cho Shiye seemed excited, Kim Hae-yoon smiled. She's happy that Cho Shiye seemed delighted just from hearing that name.

"Yes!" Cho Shiye replied vigorously. "I heard that she's going to hold a concert this Sunday but the tickets were already reserved a year before and I failed to reserve one…" Cho Shiye sighed dejectedly, she could feel the disappointment resurfacing when she remembered that day.

Kim Hae-yoon looked shocked, she never cared for any of this before so she didn't know that it was like this.

"But why did you ask?" Cho Shiye looked at Kim Hae-yoon and inquired, feeling hopeful that Kim Hae-yoon had acquired a ticket for the two of them. "Do you have a ticket? Really? Really? Really??" Cho Shiye asked excitedly as Kim Hae-yoon nodded and she hugged her and squealed.

Cho Shiye jumped up and down with Kim Hae-yoon on her arms as they fell on top of the bed with Cho Shiye under Kim Hae-yoon's body, her back resting on the soft mattress as she looked at Kim Hae-yoon's eyes and felt her heart start racing.

Kim Hae-yoon felt confused and looked back at Cho Shiye, her hands clutching the soft covering of their bed. Her heart was beating fast and she could feel the tension filling the air, she looked deep into Cho Shiye eyes.

Cho Shiye closed her eyes when she noticed that Kim Hae-yoon seemed to move, she couldn't hear anything other than her restless heart that's beating wildly by every second that passed.

Kim Hae-yoon backed away and coughed, blushing as she sat and darted her eyes away from Cho Shiye.

"It's already late, you should go back to your room and sleep." Kim Hae-yoon smiled. "In-eun ssi might've been bored waiting." She remembered as Cho Shiye sat up slowly and nodded.

The two shared an awkward silence as they tried to calm one another, Kim Hae-yoon winced and prayed for every gods or goddesses above to make her calm as she felt something on her body rising up.

'I shouldn't have watched that movie!' Kim Hae-yoon cursed out. 'This is all it's fault!' She screams internally.

"I'll… I'll be heading out then," Cho Shiye stood up and spoke with her back facing Kim Hae-yoon. "Good night, Hae-yoon." She ran.

Kim Hae-yoon watched Cho Shiye's silhouette slowly disappear after the door closed itself as she let out a big breath that she didn't know she was holding in. She gulped as sweat formed on her palm.

'Now, how do I deal with this?' She asked as she looked down.

Cho Shiye entered the room where she and Kang In-eun were staying as Kang In-eun looked up at her. Kang In-eun noticed that Cho Shiye seemed to be flustered as her mouth curved into a coy smile.

"What took you so long?" Kang In-eun asked as Cho Shiye tensed up and looked around and noticed that she forgot to bring out the container she tried to get but she's too embarrassed to even go there again.

"I couldn't find it." Cho Shiye lied as Kang In-eun sighed. She knew that Cho Shiye was lying as she could see through her as she smirked at her. "It's true!" Cho Shiye justified.

"Yes, yes," Kang In-eun replied nonchalantly as she waved her hands. "Now tell me, what did you two do earlier?" She teased as Cho Shiye's face turned red.

"In-eun!" Cho Shiye shouted as Kang In-eun burst out laughing.
