1 Chapter 1

Chapter 1

16th of May, year 1456 of the Galactic calendar. The empire was busy preparing for the upcoming wedding of the empress. The servants decorated the palace with all kinds of vivid decorations while people in the streets were busy doing the same.

Everyone had joyful smiles on their faces and seemed to look forwards to the upcoming festivities aside from the very people involved in that very wedding. Kim Hae-yoon, the empress of the Starfall Dominion, observed everyone on the balcony of her palace.

She sighed and ordered the maid robot beside her to get her a glass of water as she sat down and pondered witlessly. It's been a week since she came into this world, she doesn't remember much about her previous life or world in that regard but, she does remember the plot of this novel she came in.

It's quite a short and cliche novel, the omega heroine was forced to marry the tyrant alpha empress despite being the female alpha general's, the Empress' cousin's, lover.

The empress sent her cousin to an expedition and waited for her to die while she forcibly marked the heroine and did indescribable things against her wishes. After 2 long years, the general came back and killed the empress by taking out her glands and became the newly crowned empress. The ending was quite bloody but in the end, the two had a happy ending.

Thankfully, she had the memories of the previous empress and even though she's quite confused, she still managed to integrate both memories and personalities intact.

Kim Hae-yoon smiled wryly, the maid robot came back and gave her a glass of water, she drank it and felt refreshed as she stood up. She walked towards the main palace to meet with the ministers and the advisers. Hearing her arrival, everyone bowed and greeted her. She strode towards the platform and sat.

The ministers began to report their achievements and failures of the tasks assigned to them, Kim Hae-yoon listened intently as the last of the ministers finished their reports. She made comments in every presentation and commended those who were successful and reprimanded those who failed.

Soon after the exchange of words, Kim Hae-yoon looked at the servants and the ministers standing side by side as she sat atop the platform, on a golden throne laid with gemstones and other decorations. She had a cold look on her face as everyone was sweating nervously, the empress had gone quiet and everytime she did, everything went awry.

Kim Hae-yoon looked at the holographic clock displaying the time and date as she stood up, "This will conclude our meeting for today. I'll be giving everyone a 2 week vacation in accordance with the celebration of my wedding. Be sure to rest well." She spoke coldly as she left.

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief and rejoiced silently in their hearts as they dwindled out of the palace and prepared for the upcoming wedding that would be held tomorrow.

Kim Hae-yoon returned to her bedchambers after taking a bath and changing into her pajamas, she looked at the files inside her optical brain and shut it off after making sure everything's in order. She lay down on the bed and soon drifted to sleep.

Kim Hae-yoon opened her eyes, her head throbbing in pain, as she winced and held her head. The servants helped her out, speaking incoherently or maybe, she just couldn't hear them well. That aside, she sat up straight and took the warm glass of water the servants had given her.

She drank it and soon stood up as she was taken by the servants inside a room to prepare her for the wedding. She didn't know how much time had passed as she witlessly followed her servants and before she knew it, she's standing in front of a carriage.

It was a horse powered carriage elegantly designed for royalty to use. Carriages like these are often used by nobility as part of the wedding traditions where the alpha would drive the carriage to pick up the omega from their house to deal with the formalities of the two families, often accompanied by the patriarch of both the families along with children who are bound to get married.

Despite the advancement of this world where they now have self-driving cars and also spacecrafts to travel from one planet to another, this old tradition is still kept.

Kim Hae-yoon stood atop the seat to where carriage drivers usually sat as she held the reins of the horses. Based on the memory of the previous body, she often rode horses when she's young and was quite skilled at it, so, due to muscle memory, she managed to drive quite safely.

Following the guidance of her robot servant, she arrived at the entrance of count Cho's ancestral palace. She stopped and came down the carriage as the robot servant helped fix her robes. She walked towards the gate and the guards bent down and greeted her with a smile. They opened the door and inside were a row of the Cho family and their servants standing side by side with a bow.

Count Cho Yun-shik, the patriarch of the family, greeted Kim Hae-yoon after bowing his head, "Greetings your majesty, may the gods bless you and may you live for eternity!"

Kim Hae-yoon couldn't help but sneer but her face soon returned to her calm and cold expression as she nodded. The Count had a fake smile as he kept talking and praising her, she ignored him, feeling annoyed as they walked towards the pavilion where her bride was.

After a few minutes of walking through the vast palace, she arrived at the pavilion where she was greeted by countless omegas bowing their heads as they surrounded a woman with a delicate look on her face, like a sweet and beautiful flower, half smiling at her.

Kim Hae-yoon felt her heart racing, with just one look, she knew who this person was. It's the heroine of this novel, Cho Shiye. Her face blushed as she admired her with a deep loving gaze. She didn't even know why she felt this way towards her but, seeing this beautiful omega looking at her with a cold and distant attitude made her stop on her tracks and admire this cold beauty.

A flash of memories suddenly splash through her mind, it's the memories of both her past life and the previous owner's memories. In her last life, she remembered how she fell in love with the heroine upon seeing the cover of the novel. The story is absolute trash and so are the characters yet, everytime she sees the heroine in the novel, she is drawn towards her.

She felt love towards the heroine, albeit fictional, as she read through and got to know her better. She felt saddened by how the heroine was treated in the novel, she was forced to marry the antagonist and she wasn't even treated fairly by the female lead Kim Yun-hee, she love her dearly and would do everything for her yet it's hinted in the novel that Kim Yun-hee was just playing with her.

Due to this, she would even daydream how she would treat her better if she were inside the novel and now, it finally came true. But, the memories of the previous owner confuses her.

The previous owner, the original empress Kim Hae-yoon, has been in love with Cho Shiye ever since she met her during her secret night outs. She was 16 years old at that time and due to her being tired from studying, she decided to sneak out.

While she's outside, she bumped into a drunk and dangerous man who threatened her. Kim Hae-yoon was no coward but, it's the first time she's been in such a situation without any guards to protect her. She's not a physically fit child so she doesn't study swordsmanship or how to handle a gun and also, hadn't differentiated into an alpha either.

Afraid, she trembled as she slumped on the ground and closed her eyes and covered her body preparing for the impact but she just felt warm and comforting hands wrapped around her body a loud thud.

She opened her eyes and saw a young girl protecting her from the attacker along with her guards. "Are you okay?" Asked the girl worriedly.

Kim Hae-yoon was dazed and nodded her head, the young girl smiled sweetly at her, she felt her heart melt as they beat loudly as she became conscious of the hands wrapped around her body. She blushed and stood up, brushing off the dust on her clothes.

"Thank goodness nothing happened to you, it's very dangerous out here at night but, thankfully, we saw you before something happened towards you." The girl continued to speak as Kim Hae-yoon nodded, the blush didn't dissipate from her face as she nervously looked at the girl.

"That aside, why are you here at this time of the night?" Kim Hae-yoon didn't answer, afraid that if this girl found out her identity, she would be sent back to the palace and would be heavily scolded by her mothers.

Sensing the conflicted feelings of Kim Hae-yoon, the girl didn't pry any further and just smiled. "My name's Cho Shiye, what's yours?"
