Chapter 14

It was 3 am in the morning when Kim Hae-yoon woke up, she stood up and took some warm water for her wife to drink if she ever wake up in the middle of the night.

Seeing that the glass that she filled up earlier before going to sleep was empty, she smiled and poured another one. She noticed that her wife's blanket had fallen off so she put it right back and saw her wife frowning and sweating.

She patted her and hummed a song, it was a song that her mother used to sing to her when she's young and couldn't fall asleep. She could remember the soothing voice of her mother who's stroking her head and smiling as she lay on her lap.

'Ah, I miss her…' Kim Hae-yoon smiled wishfully as she saw that her wife's face had returned to calm, she smiled and stood up when suddenly, someone held her waist down.

She blushed intensely, remembering her dream as she looked at her wife who's asleep. "... Don't… leave…" her wife whispered, Kim Hae-yoon sighed and rubbed her wife's face gently.

Her wife smiled but didn't let go so Kim Hae-yoon had no choice but to lay next to her. Her wife was holding her down tightly, wrapping her body all over her like a jellyfish as Kim Hae-yoon chuckled and soon fell asleep under her wife's tight embrace.

When Cho Shiye opened her eyes she was shocked to see Kim Hae-yoon's face inches away from her. She held her breath unconsciously as she noticed that her arms were wrapped around Kim Hae-yoon's, she blushed and tried to move her hands away but heard a groan.

She freaked out and saw that Kim Hae-yoon was frowning, she tried to move her hands slowly but Kim Hae-yoon pulled her closer to her, making her shriek and closed her eyes.

Her face was nestled in Kim Hae-yoon's chest as she shut her eyes, her heart pounding loudly as she smelled a faint smell of wine, it's so sweet and intoxicating that she wanted to smell more as she nuzzled her face deeper into Kim Hae-yoon's neck.

She didn't know what came onto her but the smell attracted her as she yearned for more.

"You seem to be fond of my neck." She heard a voice speak out as she stopped, her eyes widened in shock and embarrassment, as she pulled away from Kim Hae-yoon.

"It seems like you misunderstood, it was you who pulled me, hence, it's you who put me in that position." Cho Shiye justified it with a calm expression on her face, not noticing her ears turning red. "Besides, aren't you supposed to sleep on the couch? Why are you here?"

Kim Hae-yoon blushed but maintained her smile. "Well, it looks like we're put in the same predicament. You also pulled me and didn't let me go last night." Kim Hae-yoon replied as Cho Shiye blushed.

"W-what? But how could I—" a knock interrupted her words as they both looked at the door that was soon opened.

"Ma'am, I'm here to che— Oh, I'm sorry!" The nurse blushed and excused herself leaving the two of them in embarrassment.

The two stayed in silence as Kim Hae-yoon stood up and fixed her hair and clothes as Cho Shiye did the same with their backs turned against each other.

Cho Shiye's stomach grumbled as she blushed, Kim Hae-yoon who heard it smiled and coughed. "Do you want to eat something?"

Soon after Kim Hae-yoon left, the nurse came back and silently examined her. The two didn't say a word but the awkward atmosphere between the two of them was apparent as the nurse soon left immediately.

Cho Shiye who's watching the back of the nurse disappear made her laugh, she waited for Kim Hae-yoon as she looked at the messages on her optical brain.

She saw that Kim Yun-hee hadn't tried contacting her even once since the last time they talked, which was a week ago. She smiled deprecatingly as she opened her best friend's messages.

Kang In-eun:『 How are you feeling? 』

Cho Shiye smiled and typed out a reply,『 I'm doing better 』

Kang In-eun:『 That's good, I'll come by again later and tell your wife I had fun yesterday. 』

Cho Shiye blushed and didn't reply as Kang In-eun sent another message.

Kang In-eun:『 But seriously, Hae-yoon is quite good. I really thought you're lying when you told me you're fine marrying her but hot damn, you can never really trust the rumors eh. 』

Cho Shiye chuckled.『 Yeah, she's totally different from those crazy rumors. 』she smiled warmly.

Kang In-eun:『 Speaking of rumors, have you heard anything from Kim Yun-hee? 』

Cho Shiye:『 No. Why? 』

Kang In-eun:『 Oh, I see. It's nothing, there's just some rumors circulating that she's going around campus and hanging out with freshmen to the bars and stuff. 』

Kang In-eun continued to rant.『 Seriously, she's such a creep. Isn't she about to get married? Why is she even hanging out with people who just turned legal? She's like 35 for god's sake, like, bro, seriously, chill out. 』

Cho Shiye sighed, she heard Kang In-eun talked about these rumors for quite some even before but she would ignore them as she thought Kang In-eun is making it all up because she hates Kim Yun-hee and she had never heard those herself so she didn't bother listening to her but, seeing that scene yesterday, she just smiled.

'For how long have I been living in a lie?' Cho Shiye smiled weakly.

Kang In-eun noticed that Cho Shiye left her on seen as she sent another message. 『 I'm sorry for talking about her. 』

Cho Shiye replied:『 It's alright, I know you mean well. 』

Cho Shiye: 『 But, if you're really sorry then buy me an ice cream. 』

Kang In-eun: 『 Okieeee, I'll buy you the whole store if you want! 』

Cho Shiye laughed:『 Can you afford it? 』

Kang In-eun: 『 …. 』

Kang In-eun: 『 No…. 』

Kang In-eun: 『 crying emoji.jpeg 』

The door burst open as Cho Shiye looked at Kim Hae-yoon who's holding 2 paper bags with a proud smile.

"I got all of the food you wanted as per your majesty's orders." Kim Hae-yoon bowed slightly as she showed the contents of the bag towards her wife.

Cho Shiye was taken aback by the actions of the idiot in front of her as she coughed. "Good, now, as a reward…" Cho Shiye paused and smiled at Kim Hae-yoon.

"You get to eat with me."
