'INNATE ABILITY! I ACTUALLY HAVE AN INNATE ABILITY!'

Ren was definitely shocked, an innate ability was comparable to a bloodline ability, not to mention, he even awakened three skills all at once, and one is a passive skill. Ren was more than satisfied with his results. He didn't need anyone to tell him that his affinity with the lightening element was incredibly powerful, probably the highest ever recorded, and his attunement with the sword was equally so.

'Even the main character only awakened two skills, and his skills weren't all that powerful,' Ren remembered. Since there wasn't any rank attached to a skill, it was hard to tell just at first glance if a skill was powerful or not. Each skill could rise in level, and just how many levels it can rise was limited to ten. There could also be a level one skill that would triumph a level 10 skill, so it couldn't be easily determined until tested.

Since this world was also like a game in some ways, there were dungeons where humans could go challenge themselves and also grow in strength. Ren was already thinking towards that front.

When his body finally landed back on the ground, Ren turned to look at the multitude of students and could see the looks on their faces. One student in particular had an exasperated look on his face, and since he was standing in the front, Ren saw him immediately.

'Isaac Yang, already setting your eyes on me, huh? Seems I did more than the MC.'

Isaac Yang was somewhat of a toxic rival for the MC in the original novel, but Ren wasn't worried about him.

While Ren walked down from the platform after it was over, everyone around were even more confused. As whispers and under-breath voices were flying around.

"Was his hair white before he went up there?"

"Yeah, wasn't his hair brown?"

"No, it was blonde…"

"Oh my gosh, I didn't realise he was this handsome before, I hadn't looked well…"

"Take your eyes off him, I saw him first."

"Wow, look at his eyesss, so dreamy!"

Ren's ear was getting over flooded with these comments about him when he looked ahead a bit off from where the students all gathered. He could see five men standing, all of them with their eyes on him.

'The council's here, huh? To think they would all be present today, in the novel only two showed up to discuss with the main character, Linda and Isaac, after all, they were the best performing, but with the way things were looking, it seemed like he would be stealing that shine today.

Since he was the last, the evaluation was ended there.

"Alright everyone, the evaluation has come to an end, you can go now, the guide will show you the way." The one conducting the event said before another soldier came to take everyone away. No matter how it looked, this was a military academy, and everybody was being trained to become a fighter in the war. Just being accepted into the academy meant you were already a private in the army.

"Students Ray Stone, Linda Storm, Isaac Yang, Ashley Woodwind, and Ren Ashburn are to wait behind. The rest of you go immediately, don't waste time."

Ren already knew this was going to happen. He was in no rush for now, so it didn't matter. With Ray's personality, Ren was sure he would pull something like going around greeting everybody, the normal main character charisma trick.

Just as expected, Ray did just as Ren thought, he didn't show any particular feelings and just shook his hand briefly. Isaac on the other hand seemed rude right of the bat, and pride was high in his demeanour, he seemed completely disinterested in Ray and was solely focused on Ren who didn't even give him any attention, only serving to raise his fury.

'Though he is such a short tempered competitive bastard, Isaac is actually a semi underdog who actually worked for his stuff 500%. This was also why fans loved him more than the MC.' Ren was also starting to strongly believe that the author of the original story had done this on purpose… well, it didn't really matter now.

'I'll definitely have good use for him in future,' Ren thought in his mind.

While the boys were getting some sort of thing going in relationships and 'friendship', heh, such a lacklustre term in Ren's ears, the girls weren't really getting anywhere. From what Ren remembered, Linda who had average tits was always jealous of Ashley's orang-utan gallons… even for the strong, life was unfair, one would justify.

The five men walked up to the students, and one of them took the initiative to introduce them all in a simple and quick manner.

"Greetings, students, we are sorry for the delay. Us five are the school council, and we would like to have a word or two with you." He said.

Ren knew that this man's name was Jack Othman, a Six Star General of the Great Phoenix Kingdom, and he was head of the Central Province's Academy, Grand Phoenix Academy, where they were all in currently. Perhaps, that was why he was the one to introduce themselves.

All the students bowed slightly to give their greetings to the generals. It was already clear who the rest were, they were pretty famous after all, it was normal that the students would know some of their faces.

'He said school council instead of their ranks in the military… Is he trying to say he only wants to discuss school stuff now?' Ren thought to himself.

"It has been a while since we saw this many powerful phenomena all in a single day. Naturally, I want to see your skills for myself first, before you begin registering them." Jack said.

Since the skills didn't have a rank attached to them, it was difficult to know what the skill strength would be, so it was natural to want to examine it closely.

This was the same thing that happened in the novel, so Ren was familiar with what would happen already. Ray showed them a rather powerful water skill which he got as one of his first two skills. One was defence and the other offence, so he naturally showed the offensive skill. It was 0.5 metre disc of water that would cut sharply. Naturally, they were impressed, since the skill was strong, it meant his potential was also strong.

Linda and Ashley did the same and showed their skills. Linda produced some destructive icicles that struck a tree almost 15 metres away and still managed to pierce deep enough, and Ashley casted a buff on Jack, she had two skills, once support and the other healing.

Finally, it was Isaac's turn, unfortunately for him, after doing all the preparations and setting the mood right, he used his skill, 'Flame Bomb'… All that was produced was fire the force of a gas cooker, at least he could boil water for instant noodles faster.

To say the least, he was heartbroken mentally crushed. Naturally, as things would have it, only someone with his mind set could bounce back from such a defeat under five minutes that he had contemplated his entire life.

Finally, it was Ren's turn to show his skills, "Student Ren, show us one of your skill, I'm sure you too would awaken two," Jack said.

All eyes were now on him to see what he would do, so Ren…
