76 Chapter 75

In the living room, Yang Chen found Ruoxi with Lanlan on her lap as they watched a Korean Drama together.

Ruoxi turned her head toward Yang Chen with a smile and was about to greet him.

But she stopped herself as she saw a beautiful young woman with him. Ruoxi looked at him weirdly as Lin Hui had luggage with her.

With a perplexed look, she waited for Yang Chen to speak first.

Yang Chen looked around before asking, "Ruoxi, where's everyone at?"

"...They all went to do some shopping for Lanlan and themselves," Ruoxi said weirdly as Yang Chen hadn't explained who this beautiful young woman was.

"And, how come you and Lanlan didn't go with them?"

Ruoxi avoided his gaze and started sweating nervously.

"W-Well...last time we all went shopping, there were these men that we're trying to talk to us but Lanlan broke their legs when they refused to leave us alone..."

She was a little scared a 4-yeared old girl could do this but considering who Yang Chen was, it didn't bother her as much.

Hannya and Seventeen were with them and were going to do the same or probably something worse, but they felt happy after seeing Lanlan's extreme strength.

Rose didn't intervene since they had Hannya with her while Wang Ma had started scolding Lanlan so she wouldn't do something gruesome like this ever again. But her words had hit the air and Lanlan didn't seem to listen.

Yang Chen wasn't surprised about Lanlan's ridiculous strength. She had his genes after all. He was more surprised that Seventeen had joined them. He thought she was always cold and distant.

'I guess she mellowed out after being near Lanlan and the rest.' Yang Chen thought.

Seeing as Yang Chen wasn't going to introduce this woman anytime soon, Ruoxi spoke first.

"Hubby...and this is?"

Yang Chen came back to light and was going to introduce the woman beside him, but Lanlan suddenly entered the conversation.

"Papa, are you cheating on Mama Ruoxi and Big Sis Rose?" Lanlan asked with bright eyes.

"Lanlan!" Ruoxi yelled with embarrassment.

She wasn't the only one to be embarrassed as Lin Hui's ears quickly redden.

Lanlan looked back at her mother with a confused face.

Yang Chen was a little taken aback. How could Lanlan know this kind of stuff? So he looked toward Ruoxi.

Ruoxi's face was red as this was her doing. She didn't know that watching Korean dramas on TV together would affect Lanlan's brain. Who knew, right...

Ruoxi gently placed Lanlan on the side of the couch and changed the channel to some cartoons.

Lanlan became engrossed immediately and forgot what she just asked. Ruoxi then walked toward Yang Chen.

Still slightly blushing, Ruoxi said, "L-Let's go to the kitchen and talk."

She didn't have the face to look at the young woman as she was too embarrassed. Lin Hui was the same and hid beside Yang Chen's shoulder. She didn't even realize, this was her first time being so close to a man.

Yang Chen nodded and they all went to the kitchen.

Still, with an awkward atmosphere, Yang Chen spoke since he wasn't affected due to his thick skin.

"This is Lin Hui and she is your half cousin from your grandfather's side."

Ruoxi became shocked. She had no idea she had more relatives. Her shock soon turned into wariness as she remembered Xue Minghe.

Yang Chen waved his hand to stop her cautiousness.

"Don't worry, she has nothing against you. She isn't like that Xue Minghe guy."

Ruoxi was a bit relieved but she was still cautious. This was just a habit of hers.

Lin Hui slightly waved her hand and said meekly, "...H-Hello, Elder Sister."

Ruoxi felt an inexplicable warm feeling as she heard the way Lin Hui addressed her.

Ruoxi simply nodded. It may have come off as cold but this was just who she was.

Lin Hui felt a little hurt. She thought Ruoxi had some kind of malice against her.

On the contrary, Ruoxi found Hui Lin as a gentle girl in their first meeting and liked her attitude. But looks can always be deceiving.

"Lin Hui has lived in the mountains her whole life while focusing on her training so she has never experienced a youthful life. She also has no friends or family that can help out with her living situation so she will stay with us in the meantime." Yang Chen explained.

Lin Hui sweated nervously. Yang Chen made her sound so pitiful.

Ruoxi couldn't help and give her a compassionate look. She also trusted Yang Chen and since he introduced them, that means this girl bears no ill-meaning toward her.

Although Ruoxi needed time to fully get to know this woman, she already wanted to help her.

"Then, you're probably tired from your long journey. Here, follow me. I'll show you to your new room." Ruoxi spoke softly.

This can be considered as her little sister so she naturally had to look out for her. But there was still a little uneasiness in her, that would only be fixed with time.

Lin Hui became joyful that Ruoxi was looking out for her. She also was tired as she came a long way from China and she didn't get a good sleep the night before.

Lin Hui smiled and nodded, "Thank you."

She then carried her luggage and followed Ruoxi into a vacant room.

A few minutes later, Ruoxi came back to the kitchen and hooked her arms around Yang Chen.

"She's getting settled in," Ruoxi said lovingly.

Yang Chen smiled and held her waist. If he wanted Lin Hui to do great in her ability to sing, then she would have to be mentally fit. Surrounded by her distant relative was good for moral support.

"That was also the last room in the house, so you better not bring any more women to stay here," Ruoxi spoke with a threatening voice.

She was only playing around, but she wanted to see Yang Chen's reaction.

Yang Chen smirked, "What are you going to do about it, then?"

Ruoxi's face became cold and her words became chilly.

"Are you testing me?"

Yang Chen chuckled and suddenly pinned her on the kitchen table.

Ruoxi yelped in a cute voice as she was caught by surprise.

"Who are you trying to trick?" Yang Chen asked evilly.

He then gently bit her ear and Ruoxi trembled.

Ruoxi bit her lip so she could stop any sounds from escaping her mouth as Yang Chen was feeling her up.

"...H-Hubby...I'm sorry...Mm~...I was just kidding...Mm~...L-Lanlan's also in the next room..." Ruoxi managed to say.

Yang Chen stopped as he heard that. He could put a sound barrier, but it was still too risky. He was glad Lanlan slept in Seventeen's room or he wouldn't be able to enjoy his time with Ruoxi and Rose.

Ruoxi was still breathing heavily as she was fixing her disheveled clothes. Yang Chen was really about to do it then and there.

With a pout, she looked at Yang Chen.

Yang Chen smiled, "What?"

"Hmph!" Ruoxi then left to look after her daughter.

Yang Chen chuckled and was going to finish what he started later tonight.

He then started thinking, 'Now that she mentions it. This place is getting pretty packed. It might be time to move when we get back to Zhonghai.'

Yang Chen decided to bring this topic to his family at another time. Not like he was planning to have more people live with him.

Oh boy, would he be wrong...

He then left to the living room so he can spend time with his wife and daughter.

In a room, Yang Lie was found lying in his bed staring absentmindedly at the ceiling. The T.V was turned on but the volume was set on low so you could hardly hear it.

Next to him was Guo Xuehua. She had always been taking care of her son ever since he's gotten bedridden.

Guo Xuehua was looking considerably better after her son had gotten bedridden. This was due to her father-in-law always reminding her to get proper rest so she wouldn't fall sick.

But worry could still be shown in her eyes as she looked at her son.

Yang Lie had stopped interacting with everybody and didn't like going outside anymore. His mother would of course help him with a wheelchair, but he refused to show his pitiful sight to other people.

But in Yang Lie's mind, he was thinking of his recent encounter with the son of the Prime Minister.

When Ning Guangyao and his son visited last time, Guodong had gone to see Yang Lie's state when his father spoke with his old friends in private.

Ning Guodong had known about Yang Lie's awful encounter with Yang Chen so he wanted to see his condition. He wasn't trying to be a busybody, but he was just bored at the time.

After looking at his state and the anger in Yang Lie's eyes, he noticed that he could use him as a pawn.

Ning Guodong was a cunning fellow so if the offer presented itself, he would take it. This was also the Young Master of the Yang Family so that was another plus.

So, Ning Guodong offered a hand to help him get revenge on Yang Chen when the time was right.

Yang Lie, blinded by anger at the time, happily accepted considering the status of Guodong.

Guo Xuehua had thought of many things to get Yang Lie to go outside with her but it was all pointless. The man was stubborn.

She then thought of a brilliant idea.

With a gentle smile, Guo Xuehua asked, "Lei'er, how about we go to the Shushan mountain so we could see Hui Lin?"

Yang Lie's thoughts were put on hold as his mind was plagued with the image of the beautiful Nun that can be considered as his childhood friend.

Yang Lie then regrettably shook his head. Out of everybody, Hui Lin was the only person he couldn't show his appearance to.

Glue Xuehua felt stumped but she still said, "I'll still try to get a hold of Hui Lin. Maybe, she would want to see you."

Yang Lie didn't say anything. Even though he didn't want to show his miserable appearance to her, he still couldn't help and feel better after he heard that.

And with that, Guo Xuehua left her son so she could try to get a hold of Hui Lin. It would be difficult since this young woman didn't own a phone but she was still going to try regardless.

If only they knew that the person they were just talking about, was already acquainted with the Yang Chen.
