1 "WTF is going on here!"

"F*ck this shit I'm out!"

"You better not come back here you brat!" Says the evil bald boss as he shouted back at me.

I gave a big old salute on my middle finger paired with a killer smile and walked away without a care in the world.

What a great way to end our conversation.

The others looked at me with disappointed looks on their faces after seeing what I had done, wondering how in the world I was able to speak up to him like that. Yet, I didn't even give them a single glance, leaving them all puzzled.

I walked out of the office with confidence!

I'm never coming back to that stupid company ever again.

They only know how to harass their employee to the point others would get traumatized. Not me though, I'm a tough cookie and would never back down without a fight.

That old hag would constantly ogle at my body. I'd like to kick his balls once so he won't reproduce, but sadly, I didn't get the chance to do so.

It has only been three months since I applied at that sh*tty company, Alpha corp my ass! They should've named it trashy corp for what trashy business they're doing!

Stomping loudly while walking back towards my old, shabby house, I sighed heavily.

I changed my clothes and lay down on my bed, staring at the ceiling.

*Growl~

I touched my stomach and realized that I had not eaten anything yet since this morning.

"This calls for a celebration!" I shouted and stood back up with my head high.

Yes! I should not be sad about what happened, I should be happy that I ain't going back there anymore! I laughed to ease the tension that I set myself into.

I donned a jacket and made my way to the convenience store, just a few minutes' walk from where I live.

"Hi, welcome!" Greeted the employee.

I smiled at her as a greeting and went to get a basket.

For a celebration, I need five cans of beer, chicken, and a few things for snacks!

It's been a while since I had time for myself and I'm excited to go home and eat! After that, I'll be sure to read some new BL novels while gracefully enjoying my beer.

Imagining the things I'm gonna do after I come home made me happy. I headed to the cashier to pay for my stuff.

"Is this all you're gonna get Ma'am?" She questioned while scanning the items in my basket.

"Yup!" I answered enthusiastically.

"Thank you, come again!"

"Thank you!" I smiled and stepped out of the convenience store.

I happily hopped towards my house, grinning cheerfully. The mere thought of eating at home made me excited and had me drooling. I wanted to run, but my poor stamina would only leave me sweating and panting heavily.

Aah~ Just imagining that there are a lot of BL novels waiting for me to read them right now. I wonder which one I should read first; my friends have recommended me so many, but I haven't gotten to them yet. I guess I'll take my time and enjoy reading all of them. Now that I don't have a job anymore, I can read to my heart's content!

"Oh, but I do need to find a job again. For now, let's just rest," I thought, "I'll just have to mind my spending habits for a couple of months, and I should be good."

"Hey!" A stranger shouted.

I abruptly snapped out of my daydream when a stranger called out to me. I realized I had been lost in thought in the middle of the road. Luckily, there was only one person around; otherwise, someone might have recorded me doing something foolish, and I'd become internet-famous for the wrong reasons, haha.

"Oh, how silly of me! I got lost in my own thoughts. I'm sorry," I said to the stranger, scratching my head while chuckling awkwardly.

"Wa-" The stranger started to say.

The stranger's eyes widened, his mouth opened, yet he didn't utter a word. He pointed in my direction, his face showing a mixture of shock and confusion.

"What?" I tilted my head, trying to understand what he was about to say.

"W-watch out!!" He shouted.

I turned to look from my side just in time to see a truck rushing towards me. I couldn't move away; I was frozen in shock and wasn't fast enough to evade such a large vehicle.

Before I knew it, the truck had crashed into me.

As I closed my eyes, preparing for the impact, surprisingly, I felt no pain. When I tried to open my eyes, all I could see was complete darkness. I couldn't feel or sense anything else; it was as if I was in a pitch-black room with no light, and only my consciousness remained.

Ahh,

That was stupid of me.

I had forgotten to move, rather, I couldn't move.

How disappointing. I had been so excited about going home to do so many things, and now this had happened.

Over time, it felt as though I was growing drowsy, and my sense of consciousness began to drift away.

Wait-

Why would a deceased person like myself even want to sleep?!

No, I don't want to sleep! I can't afford to forget who I was and what had happened to me. I couldn't just fall asleep; I refused to accept my own death!!!

I tried shouting and wriggling around, but to no avail. Though I attempted to yell, it felt as if I hadn't uttered a single word. When I tried to move, it seemed as though I had no physical body.

Even as I fought off the encroaching drowsiness, it felt like I was trapped in a dream, and my consciousness wasn't willing to cooperate with me.

Attempting to wriggle around and fight back proved futile; the more I struggled, the more exhausted I became.

I guess I have no choice but to accept my fate, huh?

I now admit defeat.

Sigh. Well, I suppose this is how things are meant to be.

I suppose a deep slumber might be acceptable for a deceased person like myself, better than the prospect of ending up in hell. I guess this is a more bearable fate.

This is...

The end of my story...

...

"Princess..."

...

..

...?

"Princess..."

...

Wait...

I could hear rustling, like a person trying to open the curtains.

Is this what the after life is like?

Am I in heaven?

"Princess, wake up!"

Oh are they calling me Princess? So this is really the after life huh.

"Princess Zinnia, Wake up!"

I gasped,

I opened my eyes to see a person in front of me, dressed in a maid uniform, she was shaking me vigorously and looked at me all worried.

...

I woke up...?

"Eh?"

"Geez Princess! I kept calling your name but you still wouldn't wake up, it made me scared you know, I thought something bad had happened to you." She pouted.

Unable to comprehend the situation I'm at right now, I only looked at her dumbfounded.

The bed, the night gown I'm wearing, my surrounding was all quite luxurious.

"Princess are you okay?" She questioned.

"Who?" I said all confused.

"Pfft Princess don't joke like that! Are your eyes still perhaps blurry? It's me, Adelaide!" She said cheerfully.

"Come on now Princess, wash your face. Breakfast is almost ready! The chef has made coffee flavored macaroons today as you've requested."

"What's happening?" I muttered

"You know those macaroons you requested yesterday? You said you wanted to eat them for breakfast," she chuckled.

"The chef has taken great lengths to appeal from his mistake before. He said it will be the tastiest macaroons that you will ever eat!" She explained.

Adelaide's chatter made my head hurt, and I still have a lot of questions left unanswered.

I don't even know where to begin.

"Uhm Adelaide, I'd like to be alone for a moment, would you mind going outside?" I asked her as I touch my head trying to appease the pain.

"Oh I apologize, Princess! I will be outside if you need anything." She said and bowed down

"Thank you." I said and smiled.

She looked at me a bit confused about what I did but she tried her best to hide that fact and went outside the room anyway.

I stood up and scanned the room more, it was awfully big for a one person bedroom, even the bed could fit three people at once. the window is huge too.
